OPERATION
Before first use
Remove any packing materials completely. Before using the grill for the first
time, clean the double-sided grill plate, grill plate, and mini-pans with a
damp cloth.
We recommend that you heat up the appliance for about 10 minutes, without any
food, to eliminate the smell typically encountered when first switching on a
grill. A small amount of smoke may also be noticeable, so the room may have to
be ventilated during this period. Before the food is placed on the grill
plate, the plate should be lightly greased with a small amount of oil
specifically intended for frying, which may be safely heated to high
temperatures.
Double-sided grill plate
With the ribbed side facing upwards, the grill plate can be used for grilling
in the normal way. The reverse side is suitable for cooking 4 small crepes or
pancakes.
Variable thermostat
If the thermostat control is set to its highest setting (hard to right), the
heating element will be switched on most of the time. If the thermostat is
moved to the lower setting, the heating element will switch off from time to
time and then switch on again. After use, return the thermostat to its lowest
setting and unplug the appliance from the main supply.
Operation
- Place the grill plate and the double-sided grill plate on the unit, ensuring that the locating groove on the grill plate is properly secured by the corresponding lugs on the holding bracket. For safe operation, the additional ridge on the grill plate must sit securely in front of the lugs on the holding bracket.
- Insert the plug into a suitable wall socket and push the thermostat all the way to the right.
- Let the raclette preheat for about 10 minutes before use.
- If required, place the food to be grilled onto the cooking top.
- When grilling is finished, unplug the appliance from the main supply socket.
Important Notes
- Frozen food should always be properly thawed before it is cooked.
- To avoid damage to the coating of grill plate and mini-pans, use only non-abrasive utensils.
- When grilling larger amounts of food, the accumulated fat should be carefully removed from time to time.
CARE AND CLEANING
- Before cleaning the appliance, always make sure that the plug has been removed from the main supply socket and allow the main supply socket and allow the appliance to cool down.
- To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the appliance with water and do not immerse it in water.
- Do not use harsh abrasive detergents. Wipe the outer surfaces of the raclette grill with a clean damp cloth. Clean the mini-pans in warm soapy water and dry the thoroughly afterward.
- Clean the plate with a synthetic sponge under running water without detergent. Wipe thoroughly and dry afterward with a soft cloth. Do not immerse the plate in water.
