Introduction

The W-King D8 Bluetooth speaker features a gigantic 50W of output, up to 24 hours of battery life, and an IPX5 water resistance rating. It can charge your gadgets with its built-in 8000mAh battery. It can even be stereo-linked with a second identical speaker through Bluetooth. The speaker appears to be very tough, but I’m not sure how well it’s hard plastic would hold up to a knock or a drop. It is, nevertheless, rock-solid, with no bending or creaking.

The branding isn’t exactly discreet, with W-King in strong letters across the metal speaker grille, as it is with a lot of these more cheap speakers. n The dual passive radiators on the sides are well-protected, and a rubber flap across the rear reveals the USB-C charging connector, 3.5mm audio-in port for a wired connection and a USB-A port for charging your devices using the laptop’s built-in battery.

HOW DO YOU PAIR TWO SPEAKERS?

1. Turn on the D8 bluetooth speakers on both sides. (Note: Make sure your two speakers’ Bluetooth connections are disconnected.)
2. Select one speaker as the master speaker, and then double-click the master speaker’s power button to begin pairing.
3. When the “True Wireless Stereo” is successfully linked (the blue LED on the slave speaker stays on, while the blue LED on the master speaker flashes slowly), open the Bluetooth app on your phone and search for and connect the master speaker.
4. Play your favorite songs on your music player.

Button Is Invented

• Open or close the speaker with the power button.
• Play/Stop Button – This button allows you to play or stop the music.
• Adjust the bass for a deeper or crisper treble with the EQ (Equalizer) button.
• Volume Control – Press the plus (+/-) button on the speaker or adjust the volume on the device you’re connected to. Even if you think the sound isn’t loud enough, you may double the volume by turning up the volume on both the speaker and the device at the same time.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Is this a good fit for a loud work environment? Also is the bass adjustable?
  I work in a pretty large sheet metal shop and it is pretty loud. In a 25 ft radius, it is loud enough with grinders and such operating around me. The bass is not adjustable. This speaker is well worth the money.

• How does this compare to the soundcore Motion Plus for the money and good clarity?
  I have the Soundcore Motion+ and the W-King D8. For sound quality in my opinion the Motion+ wins, but only slightly. If I were sitting in my living room with the speaker beside me, I’d probably choose the Motion+. However, the D8 is a beast compared to the Motion+ while still having a balanced sound that is not overwhelmed by its excellent bass. The longer I have my D8 (about 2 years) the more I love it, not just for its booming bass power, but for its pleasant sound. D8 is a very enjoyable speaker even when not blasting. If I could only have one of these, I’d pick the D8 without hesitation.

• Why does this not have NFC anymore?
  It still does. It’s on the left corner when looking at the speaker from the front. Mine does at least and I’ve owned my speaker for a month now.

• Will the speaker shut off automatically?
  Absolutely! If you turn whatever you are playing music through, or stop playing music it shuts off in 10 minutes automatically. I have had this speaker for a while now and love it. Crisp clear sound, great bass, and super loud for its size.

• Is there a warranty? Will not charge.
  I don’t know about a warranty but the charger they give you is garbage and it will only charge with a high-speed outlet might just be the charger.

• Listing keeps saying speakers – is this a pair or just one?
  Yes, it’s one unit with a couple of speakers in it for size and price it sounds great.

• Does this speaker alert you when it’s about to die?
  I bought two speakers green and black. They didn’t alert me but both of them start to cut off. Like going on and off…I guess that’s the signal.

• Can you plug in a USB drive into the USB port to play music?
  No, it is a power bank port for charging your phone or pad.

• Does this connect to both audio and calls so that i can hear my phone conversation through it so we can have the whole family listening to the conv?
  Yes, it does. And it has a built-in microphone. All you have to do is connect the speaker to your phone and answer or make the call. And the speaker will play the conversation and you can talk through the speaker.

• How do you know if it is charging? I’m using the cord from my new iPad but I can’t tell if it’s charging add nothing lights up telling me is charging?
  Lights will turn blue and blink up in 1,2,3 in accordance to the battery level and if you’re using iPhone, you can also check the widgets for the percentage. Plugging in the aux while charging will flash The Bluetooth indicator as green light until there is a connection, and become solid when the connection is made to the audio source.
