SONG LYRICS
Song 1
A hand rake is good for breaking up the soil
It can help make the soil smooth
Which helps make planting seeds smooth,
Rake the weeds away and wait for flowers to bloom!
Song 2
The sky is blue and the sun is bright
Perfect time to mow the lawn.
The grass is long, and ready for a trim
Let’s mow until we’re done!
Song 3
Did you ever see a mower, a mower, a mower?
Did you ever see a mower go this way and that?
Go this way and that way? That way and this way?
Did you ever see a mower go this way and that?
Song 4
A shovel is good for digging holes,
making room for plants and flowers
Of different colors.
Like a red rose bush!
Song 5
Let’s put the grass clip clip clippings in the yard bin.
Oh yeah in the yard bin.
Sticks and weeds can go in too
In the yard bin.
Oh yeah in the yard bin.
Song 6
Reduce, reuse, recycle.
Reduce! Throwing away grass clippings.
Reduce, reuse, recycle.
Reuse! Grass clippings to keep your soil fresh.
Reduce, reuse, recycle
Recycle! It will make a difference in your garden.
Song 7
People say a good gardener has a green thumb.
Even though their thumb
Isn’t really green.
Grass is green. Leaves are green.
Grass is green. Leaves are green.
Good gardeners have green thumbs.
Song 8
Gardening gloves are good to wear in the garden.
Dirt is a big part of lawn work
And gardening gloves help
keep your hands clean
and protected from scratches.
Song 9
When the plants are planted
And seeds are sewn
Fill up the watering can,
Be sure to sprinkle water
Over your garden.
Some plants like a little, some like a lot
Especially when it’s hot!
Song 10
One kid went to mow, went to mow a meadow.
One kid and their dog
Went to mow a meadow.
Two kids went to mow
Went to mow a meadow.
Two kids, one kid and their dog
Went to mow a meadow
Song 11
For he’s a jolly good mower,
For she’s a jolly good mower,
For they’re jolly good mowers!
Which nobody can deny
Song 12
When it comes to mowing
Be safe and pick up sticks.
Watch where you’re going.
