Safety information

To avoid the risk of serious injury when using your blender, basic safety precautions should be followed, including the following.

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS, SAFEGUARDS, AND WARNINGS BEFORE USING THE BLENDER Read though this user manual carefully before using the blender. Save the manual for later reference, to avoid incorrect use or injury. In this manual, the blender will also be referred to as “the appliance”.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • There is a risk of injury if the blender is misused. Please handle it with care.
  • Always unplug the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembly, disassembly or cleaning.
  • This appliance must not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its power cord out of the reach of children.
  • Children must not be allowed to play with the appliance.
  • Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning how to use the appliance safely and if they understand the hazards involved.
  • Be careful when handing the sharp cutting blades, emptying the bowl and during cleaning.
  • Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the blender as it can splash out of the appliance suddenly.
  • Switch off the appliance and unplug from the supply before changing accessories or putting your hands near moving parts.
  • This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
    • Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments
    • Farm houses
    • By clients in hotels, motels and other residential environments
    • Bed and breakfast environments.
    • This appliance conforms to EC Regulation 1935/2004 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
    • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer’s service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

THIS APPLIANCE IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.

Caution
Ensure that the blender is switched off before removing. Failure to follow any of the important safeguards and instructions for safe use is a misuse of your blender and could void your warranty and pose a risk of serious injury.

SAFETY SYSTEM

This appliance is equipped with motor thermal protector. If the appliance overheats, it switches off automatically. Unplug the appliance and let it cool down to room temperature then plug it back into the power outlet and switch on the appliance again. Please contact your dealer or an authorized service centre if the thermal protector is activated too often.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  • The main unit is plugged in. If the jar is not put on the main unit, the appliance will not start.
  • The main unit has been plugged in, and the knob is set somewhere between “MIN” and “MAX” position on the speed control dial. At this time, the jar is put on the main unit. The knob needs to be set to the ”OFF” position before the blender can return to normal function.
  • The jar has been put on the main unit. At this time, the main unit is plugged in. When the knob is set to the “ON” position, the light will come on.
  • The main unit is plugged in and the jar is placed on the main unit. The knob is rotated from the ”ON” position to the “MIN” – > “MAX” range on the speed control dial. The appliance starts to work. When the work is finished, the appliance stops and all the LED flashes.
  • SMOOTHIE Menu : The jar is placed on the main unit and the main unit is plugged in. The knob is set to the “ON” position. The LED ring and the three buttons are flashing. Press the SMOOTHIE button to start the appliance. The LED ring and the “SMOOTHIE” button are lit. When the work is finished, the appliance stops and all the LED flashes.
  • ICE CRUSH Menu : The jar is placed on the main unit and the main unit is plugged in. The knob is set to the “ON” position. The LED ring and the three buttons are flashing. Press the ICE CRUSH button to start the appliance. The LED ring and the “ICE CRUSH” button are lit. When the work is finished, the appliance stops and all the LED flashes.
  • PULSE Menu : The jar is placed on the main unit and the main unit is plugged in. The  knob is set to the “ON” position. The LED ring and the three buttons are flashing. Press the PULSE button to start the appliance. Release the PULSE button and the appliance stops working.

NOTE!

  • Do not process hot foods or liquids in the blender.
  • Do not store food or liquids in the blender jar.
  • Avoid bumping or dropping the blender.

BLENDING PROGRAM

The blending times in the chart below are approximate and should be adjusted to suit your own taste, different food quantities and food manufacturers’ instructions.

Caution

  • Hot liquids may splash out during blending. Do not blend hot liquids.
  • This glass jar is not suitable for mixing dry food. Never run the appliance empty.

TIP

  • Turn the control knob to a setting between MIN and MAX, press the PULSE button to bring the motor to max speed for short periods. If used for 3 minutes, the appliance will switch off automatically. Wait 3 minutes before using the appliance again.
  • Turn the control knob to the OFF position to finish the program early.
  • Turn the control knob to the OFF position to interrupt any program and switch the appliance off.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
The appliance must not be disposed of with regular household waste. At the end of its service life the appliance must be taken to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. By recycling old appliances you are making an important contribution to the conservation of our natural resources and ensuring environmentally sound and healthy disposal.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  1. In case of problems such as unusual noises, smells, smoke, etc., you should immediately unplug and stop using the appliance.
  2. If the appliance does not work, first check that the appliance is plugged in, the switch is set to the ON position and the jar is in place.
  3. If the product still does not work you should contact the designated repair centre for maintenance.

CLEANING

Warning
Cut hazard: The blades in the jar are very sharp. Use caution when cleaning. U om the power outlet after use for safety reasons.

Jar, blades, and lids

Do not allow food residue to dry on. Follow these steps as soon as possible after use: Rinse most of the residue off the jug, blades and lid. Hand-wash in warm, soapy water Using a mild liquid detergent and a non-abrasive sponge.

Motor base
To clean the motor base, wipe with a soft, damp cloth then dry thoroughly. Wipe any food particles power

Cleaning agents
Do not use abrasive scouring pads or cleaners on either the motor base or any part of the blender, as they may scratch the surface. Use only warm soapy water with a soft cloth.

Dishwasher
The jar, lid and blade assembly may be washed in a dishwasher on the top shelf only. Disassemble the jar, lid and blade assembly before washing the parts in the dishwasher.

Stubborn food stains and odors
Food with strong aromas, such as cumin and coriander, and some vegetables such as carrots may leave an odor or stain. To remove, pour in warm soapy water and fill to the MAX mark. Set aside to soak for 5 minutes. Then wash with a mild detergent and warm water, rinse well and dry thoroughly. Store blending bottle and jug with lids oft.

Storage
Store your blender upright with the blender įug assembled on the motor base, or beside it. Do not place anything on top. Leave the lid off, to allow air to circulate.
