Product alarm
- If pressing the buttons does not have any effect, the indicator lights are turned off, or the kettle gives two audible alarms when it is plugged in, this means that the kettle has poor contact with the base. If you place the kettle correctly on the base, everything will return to normal again after plugging in.
- If the kettle beeps continuously and all the indicator lights flicker it means that the kettle has boiled dry and overheated. If this happens, unplug the kettle immediately and fill with cold water to cool it down.
- If the indicator lights flicker continuously, there is no audible alarm and none of the buttons work, this means there is a problem with the temperature sensor. Unplug the kettle and plug it back in again. If the problem persists, stop using the kettle and return it to the retailer for repair.
WARNING Electric Shock Hazard
Do not immerse the kettle, power base, or plug in water or any other liquid.
- With the kettle unplugged, empty any remaining water and rinse. Allow the kettle to cool. The mesh filter may be removed by pulling up on the filter tab which is visible through the kettle opening. To replace the filter, line it up with the tab on the inside of the kettle and slide down until it snaps into place.
- To avoid the build-up of scale or lime deposits, empty the kettle after each use. To remove discoloration or scale/lime deposits from the heating element: Place 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) cream of tartar (available in the spice aisle of grocery store) into the kettle.
