Use

The device is suitable for mixing and chopping foods such as fruit, vegetables and nuts as well as for preparing juices, smoothies and shakes.
The blender has three automatic programmes: Smoothie, Ice Crush and Puree for chopping ingredients finely. You can also set any of the 16 different speeds or use the pulse function.

Initial operation

Clean the mixing container, lid and closing cap prior to first use. Take care not to injure yourself on the sharp blade. Place the mixing container on the drive unit.
The handle must be facing to the right. The arrow markings on the lower part of the mixing container and the drive unit must be pointing towards one another. Add your ingredients. Note the maximum filling level on the mixing container. Filling past this amount may lead to overflowing, depending on the consistency of the ingredients. Close the mixing container using the lid and closing cap. Warning: The mixer will only switch on if the mixing container and lid have been fitted correctly.

  • To this end, place the spout of the lid sideways against the pouring spout on the mixing container and gently press the lid onto the 1 mixing container (1).

  • Then press the locking mechanism on the lid downwards until it clicks into place in the handle (2). A safety shutdown prevents operation without the jug and lid.

  • Turn the speed controller in a clockwise direction until the marker reaches the ON position. Turn the knob further to the right to set the desired speed. Sixteen different speeds can be set. To switch off, turn the knob in a counter-clockwise direction until the marker reaches OFF.

  • Turning the speed controller further to the left from the OFF position selects the pulse function. In this position, the motor does not run constantly, but switches off the moment you let go of the knob. Once you have finished mixing, turn the speed controller to the OFF position.
Note: Switch off the appliance before detaching the mixing container from the drive unit or removing the lid from the mixing container.

  • Ice Crush

    • The Ice Crush button can be used for crushing ice cubes easily.

    • Insert up to 12 ice cubes (approx. 20x25mm) and close the mixing container using the lid and closing cap. Place the mixing container on the drive unit and turn the speed controller to
the ON position. Now press the Ice Crush programme button. The blender will start an automatic programme with different speeds and several pauses.

    • The programme ends automatically and the LEDs on all three buttons light up. You can end the programme at any time by pressing the Ice Crush button again or another button.

  • Smoothie

    • The Smoothie programme can be used for preparing smoothies easily. Place the mixing container on the drive unit and turn the speed controller to the ON position. Press the Smoothie programme button. The blender will start an automatic programme with different speeds.
    • The programme ends automatically after about one minute and the LEDs on all three buttons light up. You can end the programme at any time by pressing the Smoothie button again or another button.
  • Puree
Use the Puree programme to puree ingredients. Place the mixing container on the drive unit and turn the speed controller to the ON position. Press the Puree programme button.

  • The blender will start an automatic programme with different speeds and several pauses. The programme ends automatically and the LEDs on all three buttons light up. You can end the programme at any time by pressing the Puree button again or another button.
    Speed| Application| Maximum time
    ---|---|---
Low| Instant drinks, soft fruit and cocktails with alcohol| 40-60 seconds
    Low| Milkshakes| 1-2 mins.
Medium| Soups, milkshakes with harder fruit, sauces, baby food, vegeta- bles| 1.5-2 mins.
High| Nuts, harder cheese, dry bread| 40-60 seconds

Additional ingredients may be added by removing the closing cap, even while the motor is running

Mixing container

  • The closing cap in the lid can be removed by turning it counter-clockwise and can then be used as a measuring cup (50ml).

  • The mixing container can be dismantled and the blades removed, especially for cleaning.

  • To do so, place the jar on a table with the opening facing downwards and rotate the locking base in a clockwise direction. You can now remove the blade unit and sealing ring.

  • To assemble, the sealing ring is first attached to the blade assembly.

  • When doing so, make sure the sealing ring is properly seated on the blade assem-bly.

  • Place the locking base on the mixing container and turn it counter-clockwise as far as it will go.

Cleaning and care

  • Unplug from the mains after use. The drive unit should never be placed in water, only wiped down externally with a damp cloth.
None Never use abrasive cleaning agents. When cleaning the mixing container, be careful not to injure yourself on the sharp blades. Fill it with warm, soapy water immediately after use and allow the motor to run for a few seconds. Then remove the mixing container and clean with it a washing-up brush. Warning: The mixing container, blade unit and seal must not be placed in the dishwasher.
