Important Precautions
- Please read the manual carefully, and use the cleaner according to the manual. We are unable to be responsible for any loss or injury caused by improper use.
- Pls do not allow the children under 8 years old or people with mental disabilities to use the cleaner or do not allow them to use the cleaner on their own without adult/guardian supervision. If necessary, please use the cleaner under adult/guardian supervision. Please do not let children ride on the cleaner or play the cleaner as a toy.
- In order to avoid any accident or damage to the cleaner, we strongly recommend you to fix the cleaner indoor for charging.
- Before recharge the cleaner, pls dry the charging port after lifting the cleaner out of water and make sure the cleaner is switched off (the indicator is off), otherwise it will fail to be recharged.
- When charging the cleaner, pis power off it and its adapter must be connected to a leakage protected and earthing charging socket.
- Only use the accessories recommended or sold by the manufacturer do not use the charger to charge any other device.
- Do not use the cleaner when people swimming in this pool.
- Do not power on the cleaner when it is on the ground.
- Pls clean the filter tray of the cleaner after using.
- The cleaner should be stored in a cool and ventilated place, kept away from direct sunshine.
- Only professionals can disassemble the sealed driving kit of the cleaner.
- Pls recharge the cleaner before its battery drained out. Pls go to charge the cleaner when it is at the low battery capacity status. Pls make sure that you have turned off the cleaner before you charge it.
- Do not over-charging the battery which will damage the battery and reduce the using life.
- It is forbidden to use the cleaner in an environment above 140°F.
- Pls charge the cleaner in the environment of 41°F-95°F. When the battery is overheated, pls make it cool down before you charge the cleaner.
- The cleaner should be charged if it needs to be stored for a long time (over 6 months), which can help you to protect the battery.
- The battery is prohibited from charging for a long time. We recommend that the battery should not be charged for more than 6 hours.
Attention
1. Put into the pool with the cleaner bottom towards the wall. Hold the top handle and switch on the cleaner. The cleaner will start working after 20 seconds when emptying trapped air inside (make sure empty the inside air in order to make the robot work well), then the cleaner can immerse into the pool floor.
2. The cleaner will move to pool edge when finish working, then use the hook to lift it out of the pool.
1. Introduction
The robotic pool cleaner HJ3172 is a new type of highly efficient and energy-
saving swimming pool cleaning robot. it cleans the pool walls and bottom
automatically without replacing the pool water. It’s totally environmental-
friendly.
For safe operation, the cleaner is powered by a rechargeable lithium battery
(12.6V 8.8Ah).
Read this user manual carefully before use.
2. Safety
- Cleaner’s position when charging: refer to no.3 in “Important Precautions”
- Use the original adapter only; Do not use the charger to charge any other device
- Power off the cleaner when charging.
- Do not power on the cleaner when charging.
- It is forbidden to use the cleaner in an environment above 60°C .
- Charge the robot before the battery running out completely; Switch off the robot to charge when the power decreases.
- Do not over charge which will reduce the battery life.
- Charge the robot in the environment of 5°C -35°C; Cool the battery to charge when it is overheated.
- The cleaner should be charged if it needs to be stored for a long time (over 6 months) to maintain battery life.

4. Operation
4.1.1 Switch button and indicator Introduction

| (1). Blue Indicator On: Switch on
(2). Blue Indicator Flashes: Working Normally
(3). Blue Indicator Flashes for 1 second: When the robot reaches pool floor
after touching wall or after climbing wall
(4). Yellow Indicator Flashes: When a complete cycle finishes (after 1.5h), or
when the robot detects the battery voltage is below 9.4V or the battery
capacity is low, it will activate the function “Self-parking”- Automatically
pull over to pool edge.
(5). Yellow Indicator Steady On: After the finish of “Self-parking”, which
means you should go to charge the pool cleaner.
(6). Purple Indicator On: When you switch on the robot on land (out of water)
accidentally for above 25 seconds (to be exactly during this period, the
driving motor will run empty for 3 seconds for once, and the pump motor will
run empty for 2 seconds for twice), the indicator will be purple on, now you
have to switch the robot off to finish this status, then you can switch it on
again for normal working in a proper order.

The climbing mode is “Single frond climbing”, means the frond side with the indicator will climb and the opposite side does not climb.

4.1.5. Cleaning General Time/Mode:
A. After we put the cleaner into your pool, it will start the detect/calculate
the pool size(Initial Cross route &Floor Cross route). (Pls kindly note that
the length of time depends on the pool size)
B. Then the cleaner will start wall/waterline mode for about 15 minutes.

C. Floor cleaning mode is a full cleaning cycle. (Floor route) About 35
minutes, pls kindly note that the length of time depends on the pool size)
D. Turn into wall/waterline mode again for about 15 minutes.
After above cycles, if the battery is still live, then it will repeat mode C and mode B until the battery drained out.
4.2 How to charge
4.2.1 Remove the cleaner from the pool
Switch off (No indicator flashes) and charge the robot out of pool; Charge the
robot indoor;
Red light indicates the battery is being charged.
Green light indicates the charging is finished.
Notice:
Before charge the robot, please dry the charging port and make sure the robot
is switched off (the indicator is off), otherwise it will not charge.

4.3 Cleaning the filter tray
4.3.1 Open the top cover. but the robot aside the pool and open the top cover (4-1), the filter basket is located as show in 4-2

5. TROUBLE SHOOTING

value and the chlorine value to the correct value.

and let all the air escape.

correct salt content.
