SAFETY & PRECAUTION

General Safety

Kindly read through the entire user manual. This manual contains important information to reduce user risk as well as instructions for this product’s proper use. Do not discard the manual but keep it for reference.
Note that the user’s personal safety remains the user’s responsibility and that the user must contact CYC Motor Ltd or an official product dealer directly for any further guidelines or assistance.
This product is an electrical system that is dangerous for children and must always be handled by an adult. Small components and accessories may also present a choking hazard. Keep this product and its accessories out of reach from children.
Keep all electrical wires secured as exposed wires could lead to serious injury or product damage. Also inspect the condition of the wires regularly for any damage.
Never interfere with the parts or attempt to disassemble the internal parts of the battery when the battery is connected or switched on. This could result in serious injury or damage to the product.
All components and accessories may only be replaced with identical components directly supplied by CYC Motor Ltd or an official product dealer. CYC Motor Ltd cannot be held liable for any damage as a result of using unapproved parts.

Before the Ride

Ensure that the battery mount is fastened securely to the frame and that the battery is secured to the mount. Incorrect mounting could cause the system to move its position and result in injury while riding. Inspect the mounting position regularly.
Ensure that all wiring is dry before connecting it to the controller.
When connecting the battery, make sure that it is properly connected. The faulty connection could result in a short circuit and damage the controller and/ or battery.
Secure all wires properly. Make sure that no loose wires are dangling from the bike that could be jammed into any moving parts.
Inspect electrical wires and plugs regularly for any damage.

Installation & Use
Follow the installation guidelines provided in this user manual to fit your battery pack securely to your bicycle frame. This product is manufactured to be used as an electric bicycle battery pack for powering the CYC Motor Ltd mid-drive motor product line. Using this battery for anything other than its intended use is not recommended.
The installation guidelines also provide you with clear instructions on usage and charging. Kindly be mindful regarding the charging information.
The battery pack is intended to be mounted to the 2 mounting holes in the downtube of the bicycle where a water bottle cage would normally be. We have included instructions for this standard and recommended mounting position for your reference. Kindly note that any other mounting position is up to the user’s own discretion and risk.
The battery level can be checked by pressing down the silver, circular button. Do not fast press this button continuously.
Do not install anything other than the parts and accessories that came with the battery unit. Doing so could damage the product.

This product is a lithium electric bicycle (e-bike) battery pack designed to complement the CYC Motor product line. The X-Series E-bike Battery is an efficient, long-lasting energy source with fast charging capabilities. It is equipped with a Battery Management System (BMS) that ensures safe operating and reliable data reading.

Operating Notice
RIGHT-HAND and LEFT-HAND sides are determined by the bike handle; Right- hand corresponds to the right handle & vice versa.

Alternative Mounting Method

The battery pack can be mounted directly to the bike’s frame without the use of the 048 neodymium magnets.

Step 1: Fasten the mount directly to the bike’s cage mount screw holes. Do not assemble the battery pack to the mount yet.
Step 2: Secure the battery pack to the mount using the M5 screws and wing nuts as shown below

Step 3: Ensure that all screws are fastened and use the straps provided if needed for extra security.

**** Step 1 – Use M5 screws to mount the 048 neodymium magnets to the cage mount’s screw holes with a spring-lock washer inbetween.

Step 2 – Use M5 screws & wing nuts to combine the X-Series Battery with the metal mount

**** – Slide the battery in from either side & with side rotation motion to the magnet on the bike to hold in position.

– Adjust the position as needed. (Straps can also be used for extra security)

Wiring & Connection

Battery Connector: XT-90 (female)
Wire: 10 AWG (red wire to positive pole & black wire to negative pole)

Note that the XT-90 connector is also used to charge the battery pack. The battery pack must be disconnected from the controller in order to charge.

CHARGE INFORMATION

Charging instructions

Plug the charger into the wall socket.
Conned the battery to the charger at the XT-90 connector side.
Leave until fully charged (approx. 4 hours from empty).
Unplug after fully charged for safety.

Charge Time: 4 hours until fully charged
Charge Cycles: 800+

The battery can stay mounted on the bike or be taken off for charging.
Charge the battery pack fully every 2 months if not used regularly.

Warning

Refrain from charging the battery pack outdoors
Unplug the battery pack after it is fully charged; do not leave it connected to the charger for a long period of time.
Do not interfere with the wires or connectors while charging.

MAINTENANCE

General Maintenance

Place the battery pack in a cool and dry environment if you do
not use it for a long time; charge for 4 hours every month.
Use the designated lithium battery charger when charging.
Keep away from children.
Do not reverse or short the positive and negative terminals of the battery pack.
Do not place the battery pack in high temperatures, such as heating, fire, or sun exposure.
Do not place the battery pack in water, acid, alkaline or salty liquids, avoid the rain.
Do not open the battery without special instruction.
Do not invert the battery pack.

Warranty CYC Motor Ltd offers a 1-year warranty for the battery, mount and charger. Man-made failure and other parts are excluded from our warranty.
