Frequently Asked Questions

Is a wall mount necessary?****

Anywhere on a table will suffice.  In this way, we use it.  Only two feet away on a 10-foot screen!

How close can a projector with an extremely short throw get?****

Ranging in distance from 0 to 4 feet
The term “ultrashort throw” refers to projection from the projector to the screen at a distance of 0 to 4 feet.

Can an ultra-short throw projector be used with a standard screen?****

Although some projection screens are designed specifically for short throw projectors, any standard projection screen will suffice.

Is it possible to rear-project with an ultra-short throw projector?****

This massive glass projection screen is available in sizes up to 5000mm x 1500mm and can be produced for rear or front projection applications.

What benefits can short throw projectors provide?****

Glare and shadow have been significantly reduced. Because of its close proximity to the screen, an Ultra Short Throw laser projector reduces shadows and eliminates glare from the light source. When the projector is turned on, this ensures that students can focus and communicate with one another and the teacher without being distracted.

What should I know about short-throw projectors?****

Short throw projectors are simple to define.A projector is said to be short throw if it can display a 100inch image from less than 9 feet (3 metres). Regular throw projectors require more than 9 feet (3 metres) to deliver a 100 -inch-sized image.

How long do projector screens last?****

A projector’s light life should be between 1500 and 2000 hours. Though some newer projectors claim a lifespan of around 5000 hours.  It’s critical to remember that these hours represent the median range of life expectancy.

Why is my NEC projector pointing in the opposite direction?****

During installation, change the “Orientation” option from “desktop front” to “ceiling front” or “ceiling rear” depending on how the device is facing the screen.

Why is the red on my NEC projector flickering?****

A red-flashing lamp indicates that it is nearing the end of its useful life and should be replaced.

How can I make my NEC projector stand out?****

Move the zoom lever over the lens to enlarge or reduce the size of the image. Move the lever to the left to enlarge the image.  Turn the image to the right to reduce its size.  Some models use a pair of zoom buttons instead of a lever.

What is the best way to connect my laptop to my NEC projector?****

Open the projector’s lens, turn it on, and connect an HDMI cable to both your laptop and the projector (using an adaptor if necessary). Open your laptop’s display settings and make the necessary changes. Use mirror display or expand display to project your desktop so that the projector can function as a second monitor.
