Charging

How to charge Rockerz 255 Pro Plus?

1. Use the Micro USB cable to connect headphones to your computer or adaptor device made for USB charging.
2. A Red LED indicator will turn ON when the headphones are charging.
3. The Red LED will turn OFF when the headphones are fully charged.

What to do if the earphones are not charging or if the battery life is low?

1. Check to see if the charging wire is working – check to use another charging wire or try using the wire on another device.
2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V 2A chargers.
3. Check if the charging is done till the red light turns completely blue.
4. Check if the battery was not tampered with or exposed to any electrical damage.
5. Check if the charging port is not clogged with dirt. If so, please clean it with a cotton swab.
6. Please check if the adapter and charging cable supports fast charging.

​Poor Sound Quality

What to do if the sound is distorted/low volume/low bass/low quality?

1. Check if the connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied.
2. Check if the device has issues even after moving it closer to the connected device and removing any obstructions.
3. Check if the distortion or quality lowers at all volumes or only at high volumes.
4. Check using different media players and different devices and if the distortion happens on all devices or only on specific ones.
5. Check to see if the earbuds have ear wax accumulated. If so, please clean it with a cotton swab and alcohol, after doing so gently blow dry it from a distance.

What to do if the volume of the earphone automatically changes?

1. Check if the connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied.
2. Check using different media players and different devices and if the volume change happens on all devices or only on specific ones.

Bluetooth Connectivity

How to pair Rockerz 255 Pro Plus with other media devices?

1. Press & hold the Power button to switch the speakers ON.
2. There will be a prompt as well as the rapid blinking of the mentioned LED indicator light.
3. Turn ON the Bluetooth function of your device and search for “Rockerz 255 Pro Plus” in the list of available devices.
4. Choose “Rockerz 255 Pro Plus” from the list and if asked then enter the pairing password ‘0000’ to establish Bluetooth connectivity.
5. After successful pairing, the speaker is now ready to play music from your device.
6. The speaker will automatically get connected to this device when switched ON if it is in range and the Bluetooth mode is ON.

What to do if the headphone is not connecting via Bluetooth?

1. Check to see if the device is in pairing mode – Hold the Multifunction button for 5 seconds until the red and blue LED light ON the device starts flashing alternately.
2. Check if the device is in the range of Bluetooth (usually 10m) and if there are any obstructions in between.
3. Check if it works after clearing the pairing list on the device, press and hold the volume “+” button and the volume “-” button for about 5 seconds in standby mode to clear paired list of devices.
4. Check if the connected device to supports Bluetooth connections.
5. Check if it is a passcode issue and if so enter ‘0000’ or ‘1234’.
6. Check to see if the connected device to does not have any software issues – Check to forget the device on Bluetooth, and update the mobile software.

What to do if the headphone is not able to dual pair?

1. Try to pair the boAt Rockerz 255 Pro Plus to the first phone as per the usual pairing procedure, then switch it off. Then switch on the earphone again and enter pairing mode, enable Bluetooth function in the second phone, find the earphone’s Pairing Name “boAt Rockerz 255 Pro Plus” and pair to the second phone per the usual procedure. Switch off the earphones one more time. Then simply switch ON the earphones, without entering pairing mode (a short press until the white light comes on). The earphone should automatically re-connect to the last connected phone (which is the second phone). Then find headset “boAt Rockerz 255 Pro Plus” in the first phone’s Bluetooth setting and select this to pair to the first phone. Both phones should now be paired to the earphone.
2. Check to try dual pairing with other devices to see if it works with them.

Dysfunctional Voice Assistant

What to do if the voice assistant does not wake up?

1. Check if the pairing device has the feature enabled. Google Assistant or Siri should be enabled to use this feature from your device.
2. Please follow the steps carefully, long press for 2 seconds and release, this should allow Google Assistant or Siri to pop up on the media screen of the device. Though under some circumstances, this feature may or may not work on some devices which may be restricted by default.

What to do if the earphones do not turn ON or if one side earcup is not working?

1. Check to see if the device has been properly charged first, till the red light turns blue.
2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V 2A Chargers.
3. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires, exposure to direct sunlight, or hazards like fire.

What to do if the in-built controls of the device are not working?

1. Check if the controls do not work while connected to another device
2. Check to forget the device and re-pair it.
3. Check if the media player supports such controls.
4. Check if the controls do not function on-call and on other media players
5. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires, exposure to direct sunlight, or hazards like fire.

What to do if the microphone of the earphone is not working?

1. Check to see if the microphone is not blocked by any particles.
2. Check to see if the microphone is held at an adequate distance for it to be able to pick up the voice.
3. Check if the microphone was not exposed to any hazards like direct sunlight or fire.
4. Check if the microphone was not exposed to water above the resistance or dipped in any liquid.

Does Rockerz 255 Pro Plus support aptX?
Yes, it does. But for this codec to work, the media device must have this feature supported too.

Does Rockerz 255 Pro Plus support low latency?
Rockerz 255 Pro Plus does feature low latency for all entertainment needs. While gaming is still subjective though because it all depends on the media device too. It is okay for casual gaming, but not professional gaming.

Power ON: Press & hold the Multifunction button for 3 seconds.

Water/Dust Protection

Can I swim with the Rockerz 255 Pro Plus?
Rockerz 255 Pro Plus earphones are IPX7 certified which means they can withstand up to low-pressure water jet spray but they cannot withstand submerging into the water. It is recommended not to use it during swimming sessions.
