Control Panel Functions

COLD CLIMATE INSTALLATION RECOMMENDATION:
When installing this unit against a Non-insulated exterior wall or chase, it
is mandatory that outer walls be insulated to conform to applicable insulation
codes.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
The unit comes standard with 6 feet (1.8M) three wire cord, exiting from the
rear of the fireplace. Plan the installation to avoid the use of an extension
cord.
CLEANING TRIM
Clean the metal trim using a soft cloth, slightly dampened with citrus oil
based product and buff with a clean soft cloth.
DO NOT use brass polish or household cleaners as these products will damage
the metal trim.
Citrus oil-based products can be obtained at supermarkets or hardware stores.
MAINTENANCE
The motors used on the fan and the flame generator assembly are pre-lubricated
for extended bearing life and require no further lubrication. However,
periodic cleaning/vacuuming of the fan/ heater unit is recommended. Make sure
the unit is turn OFF and unplugged whenever you are cleaning the heater of
fireplace.

Assembly Instructions
Important – Please read these instructions fully before starting
assembly.
Position your completed mantel close to its final location. Make sure you can
access the back of the mantel as your electric fireplace appliance will be
installed from back.

- Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the screws and the metal mounting center opening. Next unpack the electric fireplace appliance carefully. Position the appliance behind the fireplace with front facing the wood mantel. With the help of an adult assistant, lift the appliance and gently slide it into the opening in the mantel. Make sure the appliance is centered left and right in the opening. Be careful when placing appliance and adjusting, bottom of appliance could scratch the finish of the base/hearth of your fireplace. Re-attach the mounting brackets with the Phillips head screwdriver, and supplied screws.
- DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. With the help of an assistant, carefully lift completed unit and place it with the front facing out in the final location you have chosen for your fireplace. Make sure to secure the electrical cord before lifting or moving completed fireplace. When choosing a final location, make sure you will have clear access to grounded electrical outlet.

This heater is for use on 120 volts. The cord has a plug as shown at (A) in
figure 2. An adapter as shown at (C) is available for connecting three-blade
grounding-type plugs to two-slot receptacles. The green grounding lug
extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a
properly grounded outlet box. The adapter should not be used if a three-slot
grounded receptacle is available.
NOTE : Adapters are NOT for use in Canada
Functional Requirements
Power Key
| 1. Turn on or Turn off the machine

2. This key has the same highest priority as the POWER key on the remote
control (compared with FLAME,HEATER,TIMER).
3. This key has a memory function. Its function is to remember the current
state (except the timing function) and turn off all the currently opened
functions. Pressing this key again
will restore the state set before turning off.
4. If all functions of the machine are turned off through this key, the
machine cannot be turned on by pressing other keys.
5. If the function of the whole machine is turned off after the time setting
is completed, this key must also be pressed to start the machine.
Heater
| 1. This key is a heating function key to turn on and off. When the heating function is turned on, the heating wire starts to work after the fan is turned on for 5 seconds. When turning off the heating function, the heating wire need to be turned off first, and the fan will turn off after
8 seconds.
2. The default unit is ℉.
3. Temperature adjustment mode: When the HEATER is turned on, press and hold
the HEATER key for 5 seconds to enter the temperature adjustment mode. When
entering the temperature adjustment mode, the monitor will flash all the time
(the on-off time is 0.5 seconds each).
At this time, you can press the HEATER key. To set the temperature value required by the user. The temperature can be adjusted at Fahrenheit:72℉/74℉/76℉/78℉/82℉/ON/64℉/66℉/72℉ or at Celsius: 22℃/23℃/24℃/25℃/26℃/27℃/ON/18℃/19℃/20℃/22℃. After the setting is completed, the temperature adjustment mode will automatically exit after 5 seconds.
4. When setting the temperature, the monitor will display the corresponding
set value according to the user’s setting. When it is normally open, the
monitor will be displayed as ON, but not when it is OFF.
5. After the monitor shows temperature, if there is no action within 10
seconds, the monitor will be turned off.
6. Degree-unit Switching Function: when the HEATER is turned on, press and
hold the POWER key for 5 seconds, and the current degree-unit will flash for 3
times. (The on-off time is 0.5 seconds each). After the flash, it will switch
to another unit.
7. Lock the Heating Function: When the machine is powered on, press and hold
the HEATER key for 10 seconds, and the bottom gray light will flash six times
(the on and off times are respectively 0.3 seconds) to inform the user that
the lock is successful.
8. Unlock the Heating Function: when the heating is locked, press and hold
the HEATER key for 10 seconds, and the bottom gray light will flash for 6
times (the on-off time is respectively 0.3 seconds), to inform the user that
the lock heating function has been unlocked. At this time, press the HEATER
key again, and the heating function will be turned on.
9. If the bottom gray lamp is turned off before turning on the heating
function, the bottom gray lamp will be slightly bright after turning on the
heating function. Synchronous motor does not operate.
10. When the machine is powered on and the heating function is turned on for
the first time, the degree-unit is set to 82℉ by default.

Timer
| 1. This key is the function key for setting the timed shutdown, and the
automatic shut down time can be set circularly between 1h to 8h and OFF.

2. Set the timing time by adjusting the key. In the setting timing state, the
monitor will display the corresponding value according to the user’s setting,
with 1 hour displayed as 1h, 2 hours displayed as 2h, and so on.
3. After the timing is set, if the power key is pressed, the set time will be
cleared and the memory mode will be entered.
Flame
| 1.This key simultaneously adjusts the brightness of flame and bottom ash.
2. The brightness level sequence is L4-L3-L2-L1-OFF, and so on. When the
flame lamp is OFF, the synchronous motor stops working.
3. When setting, the monitor will display the corresponding value according
to the user’s setting, but it will not be displayed when OFF.
Malfunction Alarm
| E1: the temperature control device detects that the internal temperature of
the machine exceeds 140℉ (60℃) degrees.
E2: NTC is defective and the temperature sensor damaged.
E3: The heater is not working.
The Malfunction Alarm flashes for 5 times and then lights up, and disappears after 10 seconds of inactivity. At this time, when pressing the Heater, the fault code will light up directly (without heating), and it needs to be reset after power failure. Other functions are in normal use.
