As appropriate, wear dust mask, ear protectors, gloves and workshop apron capable of stopping small abrasive or work piece fragments. The eye protection must be capable of stopping flying debris generated by various operations. The dust mask or respirator must be capable of filtrating particles generated by your operation. Prolonged exposure to high intensity noise may cause hearing loss.
- Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces only when performing an operation, where the rotating accessory may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Use the auxiliary handle provided.
- Keep children and other bystanders a safe distance away from work area. Anyone entering the work area must wear personal protective equipment. Fragments of work piece or of a broken accessory may fly away and cause injury beyond immediate area of operation.
- Do not run the tool while carrying it at your side. Accidental contact with the rotating or spinning cutting or grinding accessory could snag your clothing, pulling the accessory into your body. Never place your hand near the rotating accessory.
- Do not operate the power tool near flammable materials. Sparks could ignite these materials.
- Use only wheel or disc (rotating accessory) types that are recommended for your tool and the specific guard designed for the selected wheel. Wheels for which the tool was not designed cannot be adequately guarded and are unsafe.
- The rated speed of the accessory must be at least equal to the maximum speed marked on the power tool. Accessories running faster than their rated speed can break and fly apart.
- Do not use the angle grinder as a fixed tool. Do not use cutting wheels for grinding or grinding wheels for cutting.
- The work piece should be properly supported. Support panels or any oversized work to minimize the risk of wheel compressing and kickback. Do not hold unsecured work in your hand.
- Before using the tool on an actual work piece, let it run for a while. Watch for any vibration that could indicate poor installation or a poorly balanced wheel. Make sure the wheel is not contacting the work piece before the switch is turned on. Use the specified surface of the wheel to perform the grinding.
- Do not apply excessive pressure to the wheel. Do not attempt to make an excessive depth of cut. Overstressing the wheel increases the possibility of kickback or wheel breakage.
- Always use the dust guard provided with the tool. Never use the tool without the safety guard installed. The guard helps to protect the operator from broken wheel fragments, accidental contact with wheel and sparks that could ignite clothing.
- Positioning the cord should be clear off the wheel. If you lose control, the cord may be cut or snagged and your hand or arm may be pulled into the rotating accessory.
- Never lay the power tool down until the accessory has come to a complete stop. The wheel may grab the surface and pull the power tool out of your control.
- Do not touch the work piece immediately after operation; it may be extremely hot and could burn your skin. So, using gloves is recommended while operating and handling.
- When an extension cord is required you must ensure it has the correct ampere rating for your power tool and that it is in a safe electrical condition. Fully unwind the extension cords inorder to avoid potential overheating and other hazards.
- Do not use the tool if it has been damaged, left outdoors in the rain, wet or damp environments, or immersed in liquid.
- Your tool should only be repaired by a qualified technician. This tool is in accordance with the relevant safety requirements. Repairs should only be carried out by qualified persons using original spare parts, otherwise this may result in considerable danger to the user.

INTENDED USE
An angle grinder is a handheld power tool used for grinding, cutting and polishing. There are different kinds of discs that are used for various materials and tasks, such as cut-off discs (diamond blade), abrasive grinding discs, sanding discs, wire brush wheels and polishing pads.
-
The ability to handle different wheels and accessories is what makes angle grinders so versatile. It includes a spindle washer
(flange) and spindle nut that can install in different configurations to accommodate thicker or thinner wheels (max diameter of 100 mm) or remove altogether. -
For metal cutting or grinding, the discs are usually made from a reinforced abrasive material. For stone and masonry cutting, the discs may be either abrasive cutting discs, or a diamond cutting disc.
PRODUCT FUNCTIONS AND ASSEMBLY
ON/OFF SWITCH
For AG10-70 and AG10-72, to start the tool, simply slide the switch (2) to ON
position provided on the backside of the tool. For AG10-92, to start the
tool, simply slide the switch (2) to ON position provided on the side of the
tool. ****
AUXILIARY HANDLE
An auxiliary handle (3) is supplied with the product and can be fixed to the
left or right hand side of the gearcase. This handle should be used all the
time to maintain complete control of the tool.
WHEEL GUARD
Wheel guard (2) provided with this product is a locking screw type. Mount the
wheel guard with the projection on the wheel guard band aligned with the notch
on the bearing box. Then rotate the wheel guard around 180º counter clockwise.
Be sure to tighten the screw securely. The guard can be rotated to such any
angle that can protect the operator according to the work. To remove wheel
guard, follow the installation procedure in reverse.
CENTER WHEEL/ DISC
NOTE: The direction in which the cutting wheel rotates has to be the same
as the direction of the arrow marked on the gear cover.
Wheels or discs like cut-off discs, abrasive grinding discs etc., of maximum 100 mm diameter is used. Only use sharp and undamaged wheels. Cracked or distorted wheels must be replaced immediately.
For mounting the wheel:
- Press and hold the spindle lock button (5).
- Loosen the locking flange or outer flange (II) using the spanner wrench (I) supplied. The spindle may rotate slightly before the spindle lock fully engages. Remove the locking flange only.
- Clean the flanges and spindle prior to fitting any accessory. If the rear flange or inner flange (IV) is removed for cleaning, ensure it locates correctly on the spindle flats when refitting and does not spin freely.
- The appropriate wheel or disc (III) is placed. Securely tighten the locking flange spanner while holding down the spindle lock and check for any distortion whatsoever.
- Never press the spindle lock button while the spindle is in motion.
NOTE:
- Each time after mounting, the wheel shall be test run for a reasonable time.

- Never bang or hit the disc or wheel onto the work.
- Do not use a deformed or cracked disc. Replace it with a new one.
- Never switch on the tool when it is in contact with the work piece, it may cause an injury to the operator. Refer page no. 6 and 7 for the specific instructions before operating the tool.
GRINDING
-
Hold the angle grinder with one hand on the main handle (housing) and the other hand firmly gripping the auxiliary handle.
Only use abrasives specifically designed for this task. -
Always position the guard so that as much of the exposed disc as possible is pointing away from you. Be prepared for a stream of sparks when the disc touches the metal.
-
For best tool control, material removal and minimum overloading, maintain an angle between the disc and work surface of approximately 15-30º.
-
Exert light pressure on abrasive discs for efficient operation. Pushing too hard will cause a drop in speed and may result in motor overload and damage.
-
During the break-in period with a new wheel, do not work the grinder in forward direction or it may cut into the work piece.
-
Be cautious when working into corners as contact with the intersecting surface may cause the grinder to jump or twist.
-
When grinding is complete allow the work piece to cool. Do not touch the hot surface with bare hands.
CUTTING
Cutting operations should only be attempted with the provided guard fitted to
this grinder. Only use abrasives specifically designed for this task.
- Hold the angle grinder with one hand on the main handle (housing or body) and the other hand firmly gripping the auxiliary handle.
- Let the wheel reach full speed and carefully enter into the cut moving the tool forward over the work piece surface.
- Always position the guard so that as much of the exposed disc as possible is pointing away from you.
- For best tool control, material removal and minimum overloading, please keep the disc vertical to the work piece
- Never change the cutting angle, this will stall the unit and damage the cutting disc.
- Exert light pressure on abrasive disc for efficient operation. Pushing too hard will cause a drop in speed and may result in motor overload and damage.
- When cutting is complete, do not touch the hot cutting surface before the work piece cools down
OPERATIONS USING WIRE CUP/WHEEL BRUSH
Operations like cleaning, deburring, edge blending, polishing, and surface
finishing can be done by using optional accessories like Wire cup brush and
Wire wheel brush with this product. These accessories can be screwed directly
onto the spindle as flanges are not necessary.

Only perform repairs and maintenance work according to these instructions! All further works must be performed by a qualified specialist!
CLEANING AND STORAGE
- Tool should be kept clean, especially its air vents. Keep the tool and ventilation slots (air vents) clean and free from obstructions. If available, blow compressed air into the vents to clear any internal dust (safety goggles must be worn when undertaking this process). Accumulation of dust in the motor or on the base may cause a malfunction of the tool.
- Do not use water or chemical cleaners to clean your tool. Wipe it clean with a dry cloth.
- Cleaning the guard; When accumulation of dust or chips on the guard looks excessive, loosen the screw and remove the cover. Wash off accumulation of dust inside and reinstall it.
- For storage, we recommend using the original package for covering the product or a suitable means to protect it against dust
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
This product does not contain any parts that can be repaired by the consumer. Contact an authorised service centre or a similarly qualified person to have it checked and repaired. The angle grinder requires no additional lubrication. Before and after each use, check the product and accessories (or attachments) for wear and damage.
- Inspecting the rotating accessory; Check the wheel or disc carefully for cracks or damage before and after each use. Continuing to use a dull disc may cause a dangerous kickback and/or motor overload. Dressing could be suitable or replace with a new disc as soon as it no longer works effectively.
- Inspecting the supply cord; Do not pull or carry the tool by the electric cord or allow its contact with edges, sharp elements, rough surfaces, oil or chemicals that may damage its flexible and insulating properties. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard
- Inspecting carbon brushes; Keep the brushes clean so that they move freely on the support. Remove and check the carbon brushes quite often. To inspect or replace the carbon brushes, use a screwdriver to remove the housing cover on the backside. Replace when they wear down to an extended limit since an excessively worn carbon brush results in motor trouble. Both carbon brushes should be replaced at the same time.
