  • Unplug the appliance even during short-term absence.
  • Do not use the dry steam iron if the appliance itself cable or the plug are damaged.

  • In case the steam iron is given away to a third person instruction manual must be handed over-too.
  • Note: Before first use test with an old tissue whether the steam plate and water tank are clean. Some parts have been slightly greased, thus smoke can raise during first use. This should stop after some moments.

Before Use

Button steam/steam dry

The steam/ steam dry button (6) must always be in “0” position in all situations before filling water into the water tank and/or the steam iron is disconnected from main power supply. Otherwise, water will go to bottom of the soleplate through the water tank opening and water will leak from the soleplate.

Remark: For steam level selection, please refer to Dry/ Steam Function below.

Use

Remove the protection film from the steam plate before first use. You can use your steam iron with usual tap-water. Should the water be harder than 17′ dH, distilled or dematerialized water has to be used to increase the steam iron’s life span.

Fill in the water tank (for steam ironing)

  • Unplug the appliance and turn the steam control knob (3) to the “O” position.
  • Fill water into the lank, but never exceed the maximum marking when the steam iron is placed horizontally.
  • Close the lid again.
  • Now connect the steam iron with a correctly installed power point.

  • By doing so pay attention to the care symbols on the textiles:
    • chemical fibres/synthetic
    • nature fibres/silk/wool
    • nature fibres/cotton/linen
  • Assort your steam laundry according to texture and corresponding steam temperature, iron the sensitive materials with the low steam temperature first as the steam iron gets essentially faster hot than gets cold.
  • The pilot light (12) indicates that the steam iron gets hot After the pilot light is off, the selected temperature has been reached and you can start ironing.

Water Leakage Prevention

The temperature control dial (4) must be turned near it maximum level in order to facilitate steam ironing. In case water drops come out from the bottom of the sole plate, that’s mean water cannot be totally transformed into array of steam completely owing to low temperature inside the soleplate, increase the temperature of the soleplate by dialing the temperature control dial (4) nearer the maximum level until it stops water leaking.

Functions

  • Water spray
  • Anti-trip

  • Attention: Only, use the steam push button when the steam iron has reached the steam or maximum temperature.
  • Do not press this button more than 3 times at once.
  • Follow the water leakage prevention procedure in case water drops to come out from the bottom of the soleplate.

Keeping/Cleaning/Care

Switch the steam Iron off (Put control (4)-position to minimum temperature see mark on water tank), and unplug. Put the steam iron upright and let it completely cool down, empty the water lank. Remove residues from steam sole with a vinegar-water solution. Rub the cabinet with a moisted cloth and finally rub it dry.

Automatic electricity interruption for security

In case the Installed thermostat gets out order the power supply will stop automatically to avoid the steam iron to overheat. In this case the steam iron has to be repaired by the service point.

  • Now hot water and steam are coming out of the apparatus. Residues like e.g. chalk depositions (if available), should be washed away with the water coming out.
  • Simulate the ironing move until the water tank is almost empty.
  • Put steam function to no steam position and connect the steam iron with the mains. Put upright.
