INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the Singing Sounds Microphone. Sing along to the 15 built-in songs with or without the vocal track! You can also sing along to your favourite songs by connecting your own personal battery powered external music player via Bluetooth®! Enjoy playing around with the 5 funny voice effects and more! Let’s start your music show!

WARNING:
All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks,
removable tags, cable ties, cords and packaging screws are not part of this
toy and should be discarded for your child’s safety.
NOTE:
Please keep this Instruction Manual as it contains important information.
Removing the Packaging Locks
- Rotate the packaging locks 90 degrees anticlockwise.
- Pull out the packaging locks.
GETTING STARTED
The Singing Sounds Microphone is in try-me mode in the packaging. To exit try- me mode, just slide the On/Off Switch from ON to OFF to ON again.
BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
- Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
- Locate the battery cover on the back of the unit. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw. Then, remove the cover.
- If a depleted battery is present, remove it by pulling up on one end of the battery.
- Install 3 new AAA (LR03/AM-4) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (The use of new alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum performance). 5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.
IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION
- Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
- Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
- Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
- Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
- Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
- Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES:
- Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging.
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
- Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
WARNING:
Adult assembly required for battery installation.
Keep batteries out of reach of children.
Disposal of batteries and product
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on products and batteries, or on their respective packaging, indicates they must not be disposed of in domestic waste as they contain substances that can be damaging to the environment and human health.
The chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb, where marked, indicate that the battery
contains more than the specified value of mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead
(Pb) set out in the Batteries and Accumulators Regulation.
The solid bar indicates that the product was placed on the market after 13th
August, 2005.
Help protect the environment by disposing of your product or batteries
responsibly.

Care for the environment and give your toy a second life by disposing of it at
a small electricals collection point so all its materials can be recycled.

ON/OFF SWITCH
To turn the unit ON, slide the switch to the ON position. To turn the unit OFF, slide the switch to the OFF position. -
MICROPHONE
Speak or sing into the microphone and the built-in speaker will amplify your voice. -
PLAY & PAUSE BUTTON
Press the PLAY & PAUSE BUTTON to play or pause the music. -
NEXT SONG BUTTON
Press the NEXT SONG BUTTON to play the next song. -
PREVIOUS SONG BUTTON
Press the PREVIOUS SONG BUTTON to play the previous song. -
DUET BUTTON (MUSIC MODE) / FUNNY SOUND EFFECTS BUTTON (Bluetooth® MODE)
Press the DUET BUTTON in music mode to remove or add back in the vocal track of the 15 built-in songs.
In Bluetooth® mode, this button will be the FUNNY SOUND EFFECTS BUTTON. Press it to play funny sound effects. -
VOLUME UP BUTTON
Press the VOLUME UP BUTTON to increase the volume of the microphone. -
VOLUME DOWN BUTTON
Press the VOLUME DOWN BUTTON to decrease the volume of the microphone. -
VOICE CHANGER BUTTON
Press the VOICE CHANGER BUTTON to change your voice to different funny styles. -
APPLAUSE BUTTON
Press this button to trigger applause sound effects. -
Bluetooth® BUTTON
Hold the Bluetooth® BUTTON to connect to your own battery powered external music player. When the microphone is pairing, the Bluetooth® light will flash. When the microphone is successfully connected with a device, the Bluetooth® light will remain on.
Bluetooth® CONNECTION
- Hold the Bluetooth® button down for several seconds until the Bluetooth® button lights up and flashes.
- Enter the Bluetooth® interface of your device and begin searching for Bluetooth® devices.
- Select “VTech 5510 Microphone” when you see it displayed on your device.
- Enter the voiced-out PIN number from the microphone on the device.
- When the Bluetooth® connection is successful, you will hear a sound effect and “Bluetooth® connected”. The Bluetooth® button light will remain on.
- To exit Bluetooth® mode, hold the Bluetooth® button until you hear “Bluetooth® disconnected”.
- The microphone will automatically search and connect to the last Bluetooth® device that it was connected to before. You do not need to enter the PIN number again.
- The effective distance between the Bluetooth® device and Singing Sounds Microphone is approximately 3 metres/10 feet; The Singing Sounds Microphone may disconnect when the Bluetooth® device exceeds 3 metres/10 feet.
AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
To preserve battery life, the Singing Sounds Microphone will automatically power down after several minutes without any button or voice input. When the microphone receives voice input, the light will change colour. The Singing Sounds Microphone can be turned on again by pressing any button.
LOW BATTERIES
The microphone will flash a red light a few times and power off when the batteries are weak.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
- Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
- Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat source.
- Remove the batteries when the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
- Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the program/activity stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:
- Please turn the unit OFF.
- Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
- Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
- Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play with again.
- If the unit still does not work, install a brand new set of batteries.
If there is a Bluetooth® connection problem, please follow these steps:
- Delete “VTech 5510 Microphone” from your device’s list of paired Bluetooth® devices.
- If applicable, select to forget the pair code of the Microphone.
- Reconnect the microphone to your device by selecting “VTech 5510 Microphone” from the list of available Bluetooth® devices on your device.
If the problem persists, please contact our Consumer Services Department and a service representative will be happy to help you.
