Sunis Outdoor WireFree™ RTS Sun Sensor
The Sunis Outdoor WireFree™ RTS Sun Sensor provides control of your RTS motorized awnings, pergolas, exterior screens and rolling shutters based on current sun light levels. The precise sun level can easily be selected with 8 possible levels of light sensitivity.
Introduction
Battery Installation
- Rotate the top cover clockwise to align the arrows on the base and sensor cover. Then open the sensor by lifting the sensor top from the mounting base. (Fig. 1)
- Install the batteries paying attention to the polarity shown on the base. (Fig. 2)
Mounting
Mounting the Sunis Outdoor Wirefree™ RTS Sun Sensor to an outside wall
- First, Drill two holes 17mm apart (Fig. 4). Remember to use the correct bit type for the wall material.
- Mount the Sunis Outdoor WireFree™ RTS Sun Sensor base with the up arrow facing up and the drain hole facing directly down (Fig. 5) If appropriate consider using wall anchors.
Programming
- Pairing a Sunis Outdoor WireFree™ RTS Sun Sensor to the Shading Solution
- Press the programming button on the RTS transmitter for 3+ sec until the window covering moves
- Press the Programming button on the Sunis. (Fig. 6) The green Prog LED will light and the window covering will move.
- The Sunis has been paired with the motor. To delete/remove the sensor –
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 above. To delete all sensors when adding a new sensor, follow steps 1 and 2 above except on step 2 hold the prog button until the covering moves twice.
- This clears all sensors. Then, repeat steps 1 and 2 normally to add the new sensor.
Setting Sun Threshold Level
Operation: Demo Mode
- Demo Mode allows the Sunis Outdoor WireFree™ RTS Sun Sensor to be more easily tested byreducing the delay times.
- Pressing the + & – together will cause the Sunis to cycle in or out of Demo Mode.
- The Red and Green LEDs will alternate when entering Demo Mode and blink together when exiting.
- The Sunis will automatically time out of Demo Mode in 3 min
