Does the shaving head provide a close shave?****
Yes, IF you follow the directions! I can’t believe how many of these negative reviews are because people used it wrong. First, use the razor head with the comb-like blades (triangle shaped) and do NOT use any of the purple plastic comb covers, just use it as is. Then, go over the area a second time with the other razor head, the one with the curved foil blades. Leaves me completely smooth every time!
Can you take this in the shower?****
The directions say dry conditions only!!! Do not use while bathing or in the shower. First item in the Important Safety Instructions.
What kind of batteries does this use?****
AA batteries are used.
Ladies. have any of you tried the full Brazilian with this? how well was the result?****
Stopped working after one use.
What is the width of the “mini shave head”?****
An inch. Both heads are the same width.
Is this safe to take on airplanes as far as batteries/lithium goes?****
It does not use lithium batteries.
Dose it gives a smooth close shave?****

Can you shave without its combs?****

Can I trim head hair of an infant?****
You’d be a fool to try it. So, I’m hoping you didn’t. Using products strictly for their intended purpose is essential.
Can you trim the area around vulva/labia (lower lips) or is it only for the bikini line?****
All Philips products consisting of a shaving foil are skin friendly. Philips is not a dermatological authority and cannot give skin, hair, or nail advice on individual cases. Before using a Philips product with a shaving foil, it is good practice to visually check the device to ensure the shaving foil is still intact. To minimize the wear of the foil, safely store your product and protect the foil from outside pressure or impacts by attaching a cap or comb. You can use the shaving foil to trim and shave your body hair below the neckline, for example armpits, arms, legs and pubic area (with a trimming comb).
Can I remove the blades and sharpen them?****
We do not recommend sharpening the blades for the Philips BikiniGenie (BRT383/50).
Why doesn’t light go on? I plug it in, but light does not go on! I returned, purchased another, and am experiencing same thing. Why is this happening?****
When charging, the light on the adapter will show and not in the trimmer unit.
Philips doesn’t sell the replacement heads for this trimmer and I can’t find them anywhere, can anyone help?****
Philips does not manufacture a replacement head for this Philips BikiniGenie.
Does it take rechargeable batteries?****
not use batteries AA.
Does this come apart to clean? Is it easy to clean?****
Mine didn’t work and never returned it but yes, I believe it came apart. Mine just didn’t shave. I wouldn’t waste my time purchasing it
