INSTRUCTION

These operating instructions are to be considered a component of the device. Please read the safety instructions and the operating instructions carefully before use. Keep these instructions for renewed use at a later date. When the device is sold or given to someone else, the instruction manual must be provided to the new owner/ user of the product. The device is intended only for indoor use.

GENERAL WARNINGS

  • Risk of electric shock: This device contains electronic components. Only use the device as described in the manual; otherwise, you run the risk of an electric shock.
  • Choking hazard: Children should only use the device under adult supervision. Keep packaging material, like plastic bags and rubber bands, out of the reach of children, as these materials pose a choking hazard.
  • Risk of chemical burn: Keep batteries out of the reach of children! Make sure you insert the bateries correctly. Leaking battery acid can lead to chemical burns. Avoid contact of battery acid with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. In the event of contact, rinse the affected region immediately with a plenty of water and seek medical attention.
  • Risk of fire/explosion : Do not expose the device to high temperatures. Use only the recommended batteries. Do not short-circuit the device or batteries, or throw them into a fire. Excessive heat or improper handling could trigger a short-circuit, a fire, or an explosion.
  • Do not disassemble the device. In the event of a defect, please contact your dealer. The dealer will contact the Service Centre and can send the device in to be repaired, if necessary.
  • Use only the recommended batteries. Always replace weak or empty batteries with a new, complete set of batteries at full capacity. Do not use batteries from different brands or with different capacities. The batteries should be removed from the unit if it has not been used for a long time.

SCOPE OF DELIVERY

Weather station, Outdoor sensor, Operating instructions, 5V/1A USB adapter, 5x AAA batteries.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

  • We recommend using alkaline batteries. If temperatures regularly fall below 0°C (32°F), we recommend using lithium batteries.
  • Avoid using rechargeable batteries. (Rechargeable batteries cannot maintain correct power requirements.)
  • Insert batteries before first use, matching the polarity in the battery compartment. 3x AAA Batteries are required for the Weather station and 2x AAA Batteries are required for the Outdoor sensor.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

  1. Press [ MODE ] to view time and alarm, press and hold to enter time and date setting.
  2. Press [ ALARM ] to turn on/off alarm time, press and hold to enter alarm setting.
  3. In setting mode, press to increase one unit, press and hold to increase rapidly. EU Version: In non-setting mode, press and hold to turn on/off RCC. US Version: In non-setting mode, press and hold to turn on/off atomic clock.
  4. In setting mode, press to decrease one unit, press and hold to decrease rapidly. In other modes, press to turn on/off the Upper and lower temperature and humidity alarm. Hold to enter the Upper and lower temperature and humidity alarm setting.
  5. Press to activate the backlight for 10 seconds or to activate the snooze function to delay the alarm by 5 minutes. When connected to the adapter, the backlight can be set to 4 levels of brightness.
  6. Press [ MAX/MIN ] to view temperature MAX/MIN, press and hold to clear max/min memory.
  7. Press [ CHANNEL ] to view 3 channel outdoor sensor temperature and humidity, press and hold to initialize outdoor sensor channel.

GETTING STARTED

INSERT BATTERIES

  1. Remove the battery door from the back.

  2. Insert 3x AAA (LR03)/1.5V batteries. Please ensure the polarities (+/-) of the batteries match upon installation.

  3. Reattach the battery door.
    NOTE: Replace batteries when displays, or when the display is dim.

  4. The weather station is only suitable for mounting at heights ≤ 2 m.

OUTDOOR SENSOR

The main unit can receive data from up to 3 outdoor sensors. 1 Sensor is included with delivery.

  1. Remove the battery door from the back.
  2. Insert 2x AAA (LR03)/1.5V batteries. Please ensure the polarities (+/-) of the batteries match upon installation.
  3. Select a channel, then press TX.
  4. Reattach the battery door.
  5. Place the sensor within 30 m (98 ft) of the main unit

TO SEARCH FOR A SENSOR:

The main unit will automatically search for a new sensor after the batteries are installed. To manually initiate a outdoor sensor search, press and hold [ CHANNEL ].
NOTE: The transmission range may vary depending on many factors. You may need to experiment with various locations to get the best results.

CLOCK RECEPTION

  1. When you insert or replace the batteries, RCC (atomic) reception is initiated. To manually start RCC (atomic) reception press and hold the button.
  2. The receiving process duration is 7 minutes.
  3. During receiving process, the RCC (atomic) signal symbol shows: .
  4. If the RCC (atomic) receiving process is successful, a completed RCC (atomic) symbol will be shown in the display and the date and time will be set automatically. If it fails within 7 minutes, RCC (atomic) setting will quit automatically. If that happens, press and hold the button to reinitiate RCC (atomic) receiving.

NOTE : The interference from the power adapter will affect RCC (atomic) reception. It is recommended to place the power adapter at least 1m away from the console to get the best RCC (atomic) reception.

SET THE CLOCK MANUALLY

  1. Press and hold [ MODE ] button to enter into time and date setting.
  2. The setting parameter will flash.
  3. Press  button once, the figure will increase 1 unit. Press and hold the  button, the figures will increase rapidly.
  4. Press  button once, the figure will decrease 1 unit. Press and hold the  button, the figures will decrease rapidly.
  5. Press [ MODE ] button to confirm setting and enter to next parameter.

  9. If there is no action in 20 seconds, the setting will be saved and you will exit the setting mode.

ALARM

SETTING/ADJUSTING ALARM TIME

  1. Press and hold [ ALARM ] to enter alarm setting mode.
  2. The setting parameter will flash.
  3. Press or button to set the desired data.
  4. Press [ ALARM ] button to confirm setting and exit.
  5. The alarm will sound when the alarm setting is finished and turned on.

TURN ON/OFF ALARM

Press the [ ALARM ] button to turn on/off the alarm.

OPERATION

  1. At the set alarm time, alarm signal rings.
  2. During the alarm, press the button to delay the alarm by 5 minutes.
  3. If you do not press any button to stop the alarm, it will automatically turn off after 2 minutes.
  4. To stop the alarm, press [ ALARM ] or any other button, except for SNOOZE.
  5. The alarm will start again at the next alarm time, unless you switch off the alarm function by pressing the [ ALARM ] button until the alarm is set to off.

WEATHER FORECAST

This device forecasts the next 12-24 hours of weather within a 30-50 km (19-31 mile) radius with a 75% accuracy.

PRESSURE

The trend of the air pressure within the last 24 hours is displayed in the form of a bar diagram. The scale goes from 1 (1 hour ago) to 24 (24 hours ago).

Press and hold [ MODE ], then press [ MODE ] to enter pressure unit setting, to select mmHg/inHg/ hPa.

MOON PHASE

The phase of the moon depends on the current date. It is automatically calculated and the following symbols are displayed:

TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY

The indoor temperature is always displayed in the left bottom corner of the screen. To receive outdoor temperature, you can connect up to 3 outdoor sensors to the main unit. Press the [ CHANNEL ] button to toggle between Channel 1-3.
MAX/MIN MEMORY

To toggle between current, minimum and maximum records for the selected sensor, press [ MAX/MIN ] repeatedly. To clear records, press and hold [ MAX/MIN ] in max/min interface.

NOTE : When the indoor temperature is lower than -5 °C (23.0 °F), the screen displays LL.L. When the temperature is higher than 50 °C (122.0 °F), the screen displays HH.H.

TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY ALARM SETTING

  1. Press and Hold enter to set temperature and Humidity alarm.
  2. The setting parameter will flash.
  3. Press  or button to set the desired data.
  4. Press [ MODE ] button to confirm setting and enter to next parameter.

TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY ALARM OPERATION

  1. Press to on/off temperature and Humidity alarm.
  2. When the measured temperature or humidity is greater than the set upper limit or lower than the set lower limit, the station will give an alarm.

ICE ALERT

If the channel 1 sensor falls between -2°C to 3°C (28°F to 37°F), the ice alert indicator will display, and will disappear once the temperature is out of this range.

BACKLIGHT

  1. Press [ ] to activate backlight for 10 seconds.
  2. When connected to the adapter, the backlight can be set to 4 levels of brightness.
    NOTE : The backlight would be weakened during the RCC (wave) signal reception.

NOTES ON CLEANING

  • Only use a dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. To avoid damaging the electronics, do not use any cleaning fluid.
  • Protect the device from dust and moisture.
