Thank you for choosing BOSS Iron, of which you are now the proud owner. BOSS Lightweight Iron is designed to help you iron your clothes quickly and efficiently. In addition, the Non-Stick Coated Soleplate helps you iron clothes without letting the iron stick to them. With adjustable power levels to help you iron delicate fabrics, as well as a pilot light to indicate when the iron is ready to be used, the BOSS Iron is crafted to give you professional-quality ironing results. Please read the following instructions carefully before using the Iron.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.
Do not operate any damaged appliance. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility or call our customer service number for information on examination, repair, or adjustment.
The Cord should not touch the Soleplate at all when it is hot.
Always place the iron with its back on a firm surface when interrupting ironing and after use.
Never keep your iron unattended when it is connected to power supply
Keep the Soleplate smooth, avoid hard contact with metal objects. Do not iron on buttons, hard surfaces, etc.
First use will burn off the manufacturer’s protective coating. This may cause slight smoke from the unit. It is not harmful and will stop after first use. Be sure the room is properly ventilated.

**IRONING TEMPERATURE GUIDE

**

Check for labels with ironing instructions. Follow the below instructions in all cases

If ironing instructions are missing but you know the kind of fabric, select
- Low Temperature : for synthetic materials – Nylon / Rayon
- Moderate Temperature : for semi-synthetic materials – Silk / Wool
- Hot Temperature : for Linen / Cotton
These instructions are valid for the fiber materials only; If some kind of finish has been applied (gloss, wrinkle, relief etc.) the textile can best be ironed at a lower temperature.
The iron heats up quicker than it cools down. Start ironing the articles requiring the lowest temperature and then progress to the higher temperature.
Not sure about the fabric, find a spot, which will be invisible when wearing or using the article to try out the ironing temperature. Always start with low temperature and increase to one which gives the required results)
Velvet and other textures, which rapidly acquire shiny spots, should be ironed in one direction only. Always apply light pressure and keep moving.
Iron the reverse side of synthetic materials and silk to prevent shining spots. To prevent staining do not use the spray on silk or other delicate fabrics.

HOW TO USE

Set the appropriate ironing temperature by means of the Variable Temperature Controller.
Insert the main plug into the wall socket. The Power Indicator will now turn on.
When the Power Indicator is gone and turned on again, you can start ironing.
The Power Indicator will turn on from time to time during ironing. This has no effect on ironing.
If you set the temperature control to a lower setting after ironing at a high temp, do no recommence ironing until the Power Indicator turns on again.
Place the iron on its rear side once done.
Set the Variable Temperature Controller to position “MIN”
Remove the main plug from the wall socket.
Let the iron cool down for at least 30 mins.
Store the iron standing on its rear side to prevent damage to the Soleplate.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning, remove the main plug from the wall socket and allow the iron to cool down sufficiently.
The appliance can be cleaned with a damp cloth
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquids.
