safety instructions

• Please read these instructions before operating the appliance and retain for future use.
• The appliance is intended solely for domestic use within the home. The appliance is suitable for keeping food. You can also freeze fresh food in the freezer compartment.
• Before plugging into a socket, check that the voltage in your home corresponds with the voltage printed on the bottom of the appliance.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
  • staff kitchen areas, in shops, offices and other working environments;
  • farm houses and by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
  • bed and breakfast type environments;
  • catering and similar non-retail applications.
• Do not use single/multiple adapters or extension cables.
• Always carry out regular checks of the appliance and the power cord to ensure no damage is evident. Should there be any signs that the appliance or the power cord is damaged in the slightest degree, contact the Customer Service Department. For your own safety, only use the accessories and spare parts from the manufacturer which are suitable for the appliance.
• The appliance must be handled and installed by two or more persons.
• Be careful not to damage the floor when you move the appliance.
• When positioning the appliance, ensure the supply cord is not trapped or damaged.
• Do not locate multiple portable socket-outlets or portable power supplies at the rear of the appliance.
• Check the appliance is not positioned near a heat source.
• Make sure that there is sufficient ventilation, leave a space of 10 cm around the appliance.
• Keep the vent outlets of the appliance free.
• Do not damage the refrigerant circuit pipes of the appliance.
• This appliance uses R600a as a refrigerant – you can check this information from the label on the appliance – you should be careful during shipment and installation to prevent your appliance’s cooler elements from being damaged Although R600a is an environmentally and natural gas. As it is explosive, in the event of a leak due to damage to the cooler elements, move your fridge from open flame or heat sources and ventilate the room where the appliance is located for a few minutes.
• Do not place explosive or flammable material in your aplliance for your safety. Place drinks with a higher alcohol amount vertically and by closing their caps tightly in the cooling compartment.
• Do not re-freeze frozen goods after they have melted. This may cause health issues like food poisoning.
• Install the appliance on a firm and stable surface.
• Install the appliance in a dry and well ventilated area. The appliance is intended for operation in environments where ambient temperatures fall within the following ranges, depending on the climatic class indicated on the rating label at the back of the appliance. The appliance may not work properly if it is left for a long time at a temperature outside the specified range.

• Do not keep any bottles containing fluids which will freeze in the freezer. The freezing may cause the bottles to break.

• Do not use mechanical, electric or chemical means to speed up the defrost process.

• Insert the plug into a socket with an efficient ground connection. If the socket has no ground contact or the plug does not match, we suggest you to call an authorized electrician for assistance.

• This appliance is not intended for installation by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

• If this appliance replaces an old fridge with a lock, break or remove the lock befor discarding it, because children may get trapped inside it and may cause an accident.

• Do not allow children to play or hide inside the appliance – there is a risk of becoming trapped and suffocating.

• This appliance may be used by children over the age of 8 and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental skills or a lack of experience or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the appliance safely, and are fully aware of the consequent risks of use.
  Note: Children aged from 3 to 8 years are allowed to load and unload refrigerating appliances.

• Children must not play with the appliance.

• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless supervised.

• It is hazardous for anyone other than a competent person to carry out any service or repairs that involve the removal of the housing.

• Only use and place the appliance indoors.

• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter and keep it away from the heated surface.

• Before moving or cleaning the appliance, make sure it is switched of and unplugged.

• For your own safety, only use the accessories and spare parts from the manufacturer which are suitable for the appliance.

• Never unplug it from the socket by pulling on the cable. Always ensure that your hands are dry before handling the plug or power cord.

• Should you decide not to use the appliance anymore, make it inoperative by cutting the power cord after removing the plug from the socket. We also recommend making all potentially dangerous parts of the appliance harmless, particularly for children who might be tempted to play with it.

• Do not eat ice cubes or ice lollies immediately after taking them out of the freezer since they may cause cold burns.

• Never immerse any part of the main body, lid, power cord and plug in water or any other liquid to protect against electrical hazards.

• If the appliance is used for other purposes than intended, or is it not handled in accordance with the instruction manual, the full responsibility for any consequences will rest with the user. Any damages to the product or other things are not covered by the warranty.

Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.

Refrigerant
The refrigerant isobutene (R600a) is contained within the refrigerant circuit of the appliance, a natural gas with a high level of environmental compatibility, which is nevertheless flammable. During transportation and installation of the appliance, ensure that none of the components of the refrigerant circuit becomes damaged. The refrigerant (R600a) is flammable.

WARNING: Refrigerators contain refrigerant and gases in the insulation. Refrigerant and gases must be disposed of professionally as they may cause eye injuries or ignition. Ensure that tubing of the refrigerant circuit is not damage prior to proper disposal.

WARNING: Risk of fire/ flammable materials
If the refrigerant circuit should be damaged:

• Avoid open flames and sources of ignition.
• Thoroughly ventilate the room in which the appliance is situated. It is dangerous to alter the specifications or modify this product in any way. Any damage to the cord may cause a shortcircuit, fire, and/or electric shock.

before the first use

Before you use the appliance for the first time, please do as follows: Carefully unpack the appliance and remove all the packaging material. Keep the material (plastic, polystyrene and cardboard) out of reach of children. Check the appliance after unpacking for any damage, possible from transportation. Place the appliance on a flat and stable surface. Make sure there is enough open space around the appliance for the intake and/or outlet vents. A minimum clearance of 10 cm is required between the appliance and any adjacent walls. The appliance needs good ventilation for easy dissipation of heat, high efficiency of refrigeration and low power consumption. Note: check the climat class of the appliance. When installing the appliance in a environment that is not suitable, the appliance can not function properly. Leave the appliance to stand for at least 3 hours before you insert the plug into the socket. First clean the interior of the appliance. Use warm water and a neutral detergent. After cleaning, rinse the interior with clean water and rub dry. Leave the appliance to dry for 1 to 2 hours.

usage

The appliance features internal controls. Check whether the thermostat (2) is set on OFF. Check that the voltage in your home corresponds with the voltage printed on the back of the appliance and plug it in a socket. Set the temperature with the thermostat (2) and choose a setting between 1 and 4. We advise to set the appliance on setting 2. The appliance now cools continuously until the set temperature has been reached. Do not place anything in the appliance until the set temperature is reached. This usually takes 2 or 3 hours. Then setthe thermostat at the desired setting and place food into the larder. Set the appliance on a higher setting when the ambient air temperature rises to maintain the temperature inside the appliance.To turn the appliance off, set the thermostat (2) to OFF.

Note:
The ambient air temperature, how often the door is opened and the position of the appliance can affect the internal temperature. These factors must be taken into account when setting the thermostat.

• Do not put hot food into the larder.

• Never introduce volatile, inflammable or explosive fluids such as alcohol, acetone or petrol because of the risk of explosion.

• It is advisable to wrap meat and fish to avoid odours.

• Leave sufficient space between the food to enable air to circulate correctly between them. Similarly, when storing them, avoid puttin food items in contact with each other.

• Do not place food items in contact with the cold wall at the back of the appliance. The shelves have a stop to
  avoid this.

• The door should not be left open any longer than necessary.

• Do not freeze too large an amount of food at one time; the faster the food is frozen, the longer is preserves its qualities.

tips

• High ambient temperatures have a negative effect on energy use. Keep the appliance in a position away from direct sunlight or other sources of heat.
• Keep ventilation openings free. Clogged openings lead to higher use of energy.
• Try not to open the door too often, especially when the weather is wet and hot. Once you open the door, mind to close it as soon as possible.
• The space between the shelves and the rear wall of the refrigerator compartment must be unobstructed to allow the cool air to circulate. Therefore don’t place any food items against the back.
• Turn the thermostat to a lower setting when the circumstances allow it.
• Before storing fresh cooked food, make sure the food has cooled at least to room temperature.
•  If the gasket is damaged or if it turns out that the sealing is poor, the energy consumption is substantially higher. To restore efficiency, replace the gasket.
• Always consider the instructions, otherwise, the energy consumption is substantially higher.

To avoid contamination of food, please respect the following instructions

• Opening the door for long periods can cause a significant increase of the temperature in the compartments of the appliance.
• Clean regularly surfaces that can come in contact with food and accessible drainage systems.
• Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers in the refrigerator, so that it is not in contact with or drip onto other food.
• Two-star frozen-food compartments are suitable for storing pre-frozen food, storing or making ice cream and making ice cubes.
• One-, two- and three-start compartments are not suitable for the freezing of fresh food.

dairy products, cakes, drinks and other foods are not suitable for freezing.

Note: please store different foods according to the compartments or target storage temperature of your purchased products.

• – If the refrigerating appliance is left empty for long periods, switch off, defrost, clean, dry, and leave the door open to prevent mould developing within the appliance.

Water dispenser cleaning (special for water dispenser products): – Clean water tanks if they have not been used for 48 h; flush the water system connected to a water supply if water has  not been drawn for 5 days.

cleaning & maintenance

Frost can settle on the rear wall of the cooling compartment. It is removed automatically. Before cleaning the appliance set the thermostat to OFF and always unplug the appliance. Remove the food. Clean the interior of the appliance. Simply remove the shelves, drawers and door compartments to clean them by hand. Do not clean the interior accessories in the dishwasher. Use warm water and a neutral detergent, such as baking soda, to prevent any bad smells occurring. Use two tablespoons and a quart liter of warm water. After cleaning, rinse the interior with clean water and leave the door open to let it air dry for 1 to 2 hours before the power is turned on. Be careful not to affect the electrical insulation properties when rinsing with water. For areas that are difficult to clean in the larder, such as narrow gaps or corners, it is recommended to wipe them regularly with a soft rag, soft brush, etc. When necessary use some auxiliary tools, suchas thin sticks (tooth picks), to ensure no contamination can accumulate in these areas. Clean the outside of the larder and the door gasket with mild soap and water. Use a soft moist cloth. We recommend that you dust the back of the appliance and on the floor with a cloth or vacuum cleaner once a year in order to maintain a good output and low energy consumption. Do not use hard brushes, cleaning steel wire balls, wire brushes, abrasives, such as toothpastes, organic solvents (such as alcohol, acetone, oils, etc.), boiling water, acid or alkaline items to clean the larder considering that this may damage the fridge surface and interior. Boiling water and benzene may deform or damage plastic parts.

REPLACING THE LED LIGHTING
This appliance is equipped with a LED light bulb. It can be used for a long time. In case, the LED bulb is blown, it must be replaced by a qualified person to avoid any hazard. Contact the Inventum service department.

Note: gurgling and hissing noises due to expansion in the refrigerant circuit are normal.

reversing the door opening

It is possible to change the door opening from either the left or the right side. To change the opening direction, please follow these instructions.

Note: Before reversing the door swing, set the thermostat on OFF and unplug the appliance from the mains. Empty the appliance, including the shelves before reversing the door opening.

• Remove the two screws at the back, holding the top panel to the appliance.
• Lift the top panel and remove it.
• Remove two bolts from the left top side and remove from the right top side the hinge with the three bolts (mind the plastic parts between the hinge and the door).
• Remove the door by carefully lifting it from the bottom hinge. Put the door in a safe place.
• Remove and fit the plastic nog from the right side to the left side.
• Tilt the appliance 45°.
• Unscrew the two bolts and remove the bottom hinge. Install the bottom hinge on the opposite side und replace the bolts in the provided holes.
• Replace the front leg on the right side with the bolts.
• Place the door against the appliance and make sure it is well fitted on the bottom hinge.
• Refit the hinge on the left top side (mind the plastic parts) with the bolts. Make sure the door is alligned with the outside of the appliance.
• Set the appliance carefully upright.
• Screw the bolts back on the right top side.
• Remove the plastic part from the inside of the top panel and place it on the opposite side.
• Refit the top panel using the screws.
• Leave the appliance to stand for at least 3 hours before you insert the plug into the socket.
