Screen Overview

The main nemu consists of ‘Play Golf’ and ‘Menu’.


[Main Menu]

  • Touch the ‘Play Golf’ icon to start the round.
  • You can check and change five(5) items by touching the ‘Menu’ icon.

Below are the descriptions for items under ‘Menu’.

[Menu]

  • Score Card: Check/edit score record.
  • Golf Setting: Check and change settings such as distance unit, slope, dimming mode, screen always on, brightness, tournament.
  • Step: Track daily steps; resets automatically at midnight.
  • Tutorial: Learn how to use main features of ‘Play Golf’.
  • Setting: Check and change settings of seven(7) items.

Below are the descriptions for items under ‘Setting’.
[Setting]

  • Bluetooth: Update course data and use casting feature through connection with GOLFBUDDY Smart App.
  • Display: Adjust brightness level(1~5) and screen time out (10~60sec).
  • Time and Date: Change settings such as time/date format, auto time setting, and summer time.
  • Motion: Set the motion feature to turn the display on/off.
  • Language: Can select between 7 languages.
  • Reset: Reset the device to factory setting.
  • Information: Provides the product’s main information.

Play Golf Screen Overview

[Hole Information]
Distance between the current location and the front, center, and back of the green.

[Hole Layout]
Distance to the green and its surrounding with zoom in/out feature.

[Green Undulation / Green View]
Green map with undulation information.
Can check the shape of the green and pin location adjustment mode activates.

[Hazards]
Tree, water and hazard information.

[Golf Setting] Check and change golf settings.

[Green Side] Putting green display info screen appears when the distance between the pin and the current location is within 10~20m(10~21y).

Play Golf Overview

  • Depending on the surrounding environment such as skyscraper around the golf course, power line tower, weather condition, and inside usage, above screens may be displayed.
  • When using it for the first time, it is recommended to use outside for 5~10 minutes to ensure that the GPS sensor is active.

Play Golf Main Features Overview

  • With simple touch and L/R or U/D swipe, you can access to main features quick and easy.

Play Golf Features

Hole Information
Provide distance to the front, center and back of the green from current location.

  1. Hole / Par Info
  2. Distance to the back of the green
  3. Meter(M) / Yard(V)
  4. Distance to the front of the green
  5. Score Card
  6. Left(L) / Right(R) Green
  7. Slope + /-
  8. Distance to the center of the green
  • Can change the hole manually by touching the top of the screen; hole/par info area .

  • Distance unit (M/Y) can be changed on Golf Setting.

  • Check and edit the recorded score by touching the bottom ofthe screen .

  • In golf courses that consist left and right green, touch the on the left side of the screen to change the side of the green.
    The default setting is left (L) green. If the green is changed during the round, the side of the green will be adjusted from the hole where the change was made.

  • Slope information is only available in Korea, Japan, and some golf courses in US.
    Slope ON: shows slope adjusted distance with an icon.
     when the slope is lower than the current location.
      when the slope is higher than the current location.
    Slope OFF: shows straight distance without an icon.
    Any golf course without available slope information does not display icons.
    Slope information automatically turns off when tournament mode is on.

Hole Layout
Provide distance to the green and its surroundings with zoom in / out feature.

  • Blue Arc: remaining distance to the pin.
  • Red Arc: displays the distance from current location to distance by 50 m/y.
  • :Zoomin/out
  • At atee box, the hole’s entire information is available the course is automatically zoomed in at the second shot point.
    If the course does not provide hole layout,
    ‘No hole image’ text appears.

Green undulation(View)
Presents the shape of the green and green map with undulation info, and accurate distance through pin location adjustment.

  • Green undulation is available for some golf courses in Korea and US.
  • Any golf course where green undulation information is not available only displays green view and does not display the toggle icon.
  • Switch between Green undulation < Green View with a touch of toggle icon ( ).
  • In green undulation, red indicates higher point and blue indicates lower point.
  • Pin location can be adjusted only on the green view.
  • Touch the pin for 2 seconds once the dotted crossline appears, drag the pin to the desired location.
  • In tournament mode, only green view is available and the toggle icon is not displayed.

Hazards
Provides hazard information such as bunker, tree, and water.

  • The arrow indicates the distance from the current location to the front / back of hazard.
  • lower arrow: front of the hazard.
  • upper arrow : back of the hazard.
  • : displays the location of hazard (L/R) from the center of the hole.
    Some Par 3 holes do not provide hazard information; in this case, ‘No Hazards’ text appears.

Golf Setting
Check and change golf settings.

  • Distance: Can switch between meter and yard.

  • Slope: Displays (On)slope-adjusted distance, (Off)straight distance.
    Please note that slope function activates after receiving GPS signal outside.

  • Dimming Mode: (On) display stays at a low brightness level. (Off) display stays at a low brightness level for 5 seconds and completely turns off.

  • Screen Always On: Screen’s brightness level stays the same.
    Dimming mode does not apply when the screen is set to be always on.
    When Screen Always On mode is off and Dimming Mode is on, the screen maintains the low brightness level after the time set on Screen Time Out.

  • Brightness: Can adjust between level 1~5.

  • Tournament: (On) displays straight distance without slope.
    (Off) displays slope adjusted distance.

  • GPS Reset: Depending on the condition, GPS error may occur and the signal may disconnect.
    Press GPS reset button to restart; rounding record will be saved.

  • Depending on settings on dimming mode, screen always on, and display brightness, battery may drain faster.

Shot Distance Measurement

Shot distance measurement during the round.

  • Touch to start measuring shot distance.
  • At the point of the ball, touch to measure the distance between the starting point and the ending point.

Score Card
Can add and edit scores.

  • STROKES, PUTTS can be edited with a touch of + – icons; touch OK to save the change.
    Saved score can be viewed and edited on ‘Menu > Score Card’.
    Recorded score can be managed from GB Manager from PC.
    GB Manager can also be downloaded on our website: www.golfbuddy.com

Tournament Mode
In tournament mode, only straight distance without slope adjustment is available.

Toggle icon is hidden.

Lock Screen
‘Lock Screen’ feature prevents from clicking or touching the wrong button during the round.

  • Press Power/Back button three times consecutively to lock / unlock the screen.
  • When the screen is locked, only hole information screen is shown.
  • This feature is only available in ‘Play Golf’ mode.

Green Side
The green side screen shows when the distance to the pin is between 10~20m (10~21y).

  • The hole information is not displayed.
  • From green side screen, swipe left to see the screen in the below order: Hole Layout, Green Undulation(view), Hazards, Golf Setting.

Date / Time / Battery
Check the current time, date and battery level during the round.

  • From the hole information screen, swipe down to check the current time, date and battery level.
  • The screen automatically returns to the previous screen after 7 seconds; to return, swipe up.

General Setting

Motion
Choose to turn on / off the screen with a motion of the wrist.

  • Motion (On) : activates / deactivates the display with a gesture of wrist.
  • Motion (Off) : activates / deactivates the display with a click of Power / Back button.
    The default setting is Motion(On).

Bluetooth Connection and Casting
Connecting to Bluetooth and GOLFBUDDY Smart App to update golf course and use casting feature.

Install ‘GOLFBUDDY Smart’ App from Google Play Store /iOS App Store.
For any additional information about GOLFBUDDY Smart app download and Pare Bluetooth pairing, visit our website . (www.golfbuddy.com).

[GOLFBUDDY Smart app casting]

  1. Run GOLFBUDDY Smart App.
  2. Select “Find my GOLF BUDDY”
  3. Select aim W11
  4. Select “Casting” from the menu.
  5. Casting screen appears on bet the screen.

How to use GOLFBUDDY GB Manager

Download the latest firmware and update more than 40,000 FREE golf course data in 170 countries from GOLFBUDDY GB Manager.
• Download GB Manager: https://en.golfbuddy.com/support/downloads.asp
• GB manager can be used after signing in.
Any information about GB Manager download, golf course and firmware update can be found on our website (www.golfbuddy.com).

  1. Connect aim W11 to the PC.

  2. Run GB manager.

  3. Select aim W11

  4. [Firmware Update] Automatically checks and processes firmware update through GB Manager.

  5. [Golf Course Update] Download the latest version golf course data through GB Manager.

  6. Reboot aim W11 before using.

Disclaimer

  • Remove all the stickers before using.
  • Keep the device away from water or high humidity.
  • Functions will be limited in indoor due to lack of satellite reception.
  • Use of 5V/300mA adapter is recommended as fast charging adapters may damage the unit.
  • Reset the unit, when you experience abnormal behavior or distance readings.
  • Charging and storing the unit at extreme temperatures (32° to 113° F, 0° C to 45° C) will harm the unit and void the warranty.
  • Do NOT leave the device in direct sunlight for a long period of time, as may cause damage on the unit.
  • Do NOT disassemble the device arbitrarily as this will void the warranty.
  • Any defect caused by the customer is not eligible for free repair service.
  • If any type of liquid of substance gets on the device, use the cloth in the package to remove it immediately

LIMITED WARRANTY

Warranty Period
GOLFBUDDY products come with a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal consumer use for a period of two (2) years (“Limited Warranty”). The Limited Warranty begins to run from the date of original retail purchase. GOLFBUDDY, at its sole and absolute discretion, shall either (i) replace or repair the defective part(s) or the unit with a new or reconditioned part(s), or (ii) issue a credit for the parts or products that are covered under the Limited Warranty.

Eligibility
This Limited Warranty is applicable only to the original authorized purchasers who purchase the products for resale and/or end users of the products. All authorized distributors shall provide its customers a copy of this Limited Warranty and communicate any and all waivers and limitations contained in this Limited Warranty. No unauthorized modifications to or unauthorized representations made by distributors will be valid or honored. The purchaser must present the original purchase receipt showing the date of purchase, place of purchase, and amount paid for the product in question, at the time a warranty claim is filed. The product must be in its original packaging along with all associated accessories and instruction manuals.

Warranty Claim Procedures
To obtain warrnaty repair service, you must contact GOLF BUDDY technical support at [email protected] or visit help.golfbuddyglobal.com and obtain a Return Authorization Number. All returned products must be accompanied by an original purchase receipt and the Return Authorization Number. Any products that are returned without the requisite information shall be returned at the purchaser’s cost and expense.

Warranty Exclusions
Except against defects in material and workmanship and as expressly warranted by GOLF BUDDY, GOLF BUDDY Disclaims all warranties, express and implied, applicable to products, including, without limitation, any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose and any warranty that any products is delivered free of claims of third parties by way of infringement or the like. GOLF BUDDY disclaims all express and implied warranties applicable.

To products accessories and products which are not manufactured by GOLF BUDDY. GOLF BUDDY further disclaims all warranties applicable to products which are accepted by purchaser but are subsequently damaged as a result of the following events:

  • Product purchased through the internet, other e-commerce channels, or any distributor or retailer that obtained the product from a supplier or distributor not authorized by GOLF BUDDY.
  • Any and all loss or damage to the product during transit.
  • Improper or non-recommended use, storage or handling of the product, use of product with non GOLF BUDDY components such as USB cables or charges, misuse, operation at settings other than those recommended or specified, non-compliance with instructions or guidelines set forth in the User’s Operation Manual.
  • Modification or alteration of the Product in any manner, including but not limited to, removal or addition of any component or part by purchaser or unauthorized service provider, or any accidental or intentional damage to the product.
  • Any loss of software, firmware, data information, memory data contained on any products returned to GOLF BUDDY for repair, or those modifications necessary due to a change in the GPS made by the U.S. government or any other governmental agencies.
  • Use of product in contravention with the laws of any country.

Limitation of Warranty
GOLF BUDDY shall not, in any event, be liable for indirect, special, consequential or liquidated damages or penalties, including claims for lost revenue, profits or business opportunities, even if GOLF BUDDY had or should have had any knowledge, actual or constructive, of the possibility of such damages. GOLFBUDDY’s total liability for any claim arising hereunder shall not exceed the purchase price which purchaser paid for the product.
