Warning
- To avoid serious damage to the device, never allow it to operate outside the water!
- The device should only be connected to an earthed 230 V protective contact socket.
- Nobody may stay in the pool when the device is in the water.
- This equipment is not intended for use by anyone (including children) with restricted physical, sensory or mental ability, or with limited experience and / or limited knowledge, unless they are supervised by someone responsible for their safety, or they receive instruction from them regarding the use of the equipment.
- Children may not use the cleaner.
- This cleaner is not a toy.
- Pleas ensure that the cable hook is firmly attached to the ring, before putting the cleaner into the water. When removing it from the water, do not pick the device up by the cable, but by the handle.
- For optimal performance, allow all the air to escape from the device before turning it on (air bubbles stop coming out of the cleaner, and it stays on the pool floor properly).
- Do not try to move the floats along the cable Always leave them in the original position.
- Before turning on the cleaner, please ensure the float cable can move freely to avoid any entanglement. In the worst case, entanglement may lead to damage of the cleaner, and affect the cleaning efficiency.
- After every use, the filter holder incl. filter bag must be cleaned immediately. This stops soiled filter bags affecting normal operation of the cleaner.
- if the cleaner is not being used, it should be kept in a well ventilated, dark room. Avoid direct sunlight.
- During operation, the control box should be kept in the shade. The control box must not be covered, in order to avoid possible damage and / or overheating.

Equipment description
Our Speed cleaner RX 5 is an innovative, powerful, automatic pool robot for cleaning swimming pools. Due to its advanced computer controlled programming, it can clean both the floor and the walls of your swimming pool, without having to empty the pool beforehand. At the same time, it filters the water and removes particles and deposits.
As the cleaner operates with 24 V direct current. it is very safe during operation. Please read these instructions through thoroughly in order to use it correctly.
Safety
Placement of the power pack
The cleaner’s power pack should be place in an appropriate position, so that
it can reach all the corners and both ends of the pool. For safety reasons,
the power pack should be placed at least 3.5m from the swimming pool edge. See
Fig. 1
Caution: The power pack should be kept in a shaded are during operation.

Preparation
Attach cable hanger
Hook the cable hooks (Fig. 4) onto the hanging ring on the cover of the
cleaner. Place the cleaner into the water, while holding onto the hanging ring
(Fig, 5). Once all the air has escaped from the cleaner (Fig, 6), (the cleaner
must be completely free of air, otherwise normal operation will be affected),
it will sink to the bottom on its own (Fig. 7).
Caution: For optimal performance, make sure that there is no more air in
the cleaner (air bubbles stop coming out of the cleaner, and it stays on the
pool floor properly).
Connecting the power source
When the cleaner is completely on the pool floor (Fig. 8-10), take the power cable, roll it out fully and push the plug into the socket on the electricity control box. Then connect the cable to the socket (Please note when connecting cables that the plugs are in the right direction and position in relation to each other), and tighten the nuts on both sides. Connect the mains cable to the power source. The swimming pool cleaner is now ready for use.
Description of operating unit, Fig. 11
Example 3 hours automatic operation
You will find a description of how to program the cleaner for 3 hours
automatic operation below: Press the button “Power On” and the LED lights up
on the operation panel. The cleaner is now in standby mode. When you press the
3h operation button, LED 6 and 2 (as pre illustration)light up, and the floor
cleaner will run automatically for 3 hours.
The function LED’s now alternate regularly between 30, 60, 90, and 120 seconds. The cleaner goes forward for 30 seconds, backwards for 60 seconds, forward for 90 seconds, and backwards for another 120 seconds. The unit switches off automatically after 3 hours.
Warning
In the event of a fault, the display LED flashes.
Caution: Before removing the cleaner from the pool, make sure that the electricity is fully switched off.
Care and maintenance
The cleaner turns itself off automatically after a cleaning cycle. Unplug the
mains cable, gently pull the cable, and lift the cleaner out of the water
using the ring on the clamp nut.
Caution:
When lifting the cleaner out of the water, you must ensure that the cleaner
does not hit the side of the pool wall, otherwise you may damage both the
cleaner and the liner. Before the cleaner clears the surface of the water, it
must be held there for 10 to 15 seconds, so that most of the water can flow
out of the water outlet into the pool. Only then should you put the cleaner on
the edge of the swimming pool.
Finally lift the cleaner out of the pool by the handle, leaving the cable hook
submerged on the cable hanger. Fig. 12, 13.
It is important to place the cleaner near the edge of the pool, then open the
cover screws and remove the housing cover. Now take out the filter unit and
remove the filter bag.
When cleaning the filter bag, you must remove the dirt from the outside of the
bag with clean water. Fig. 14. Then put the bag back in. As a water outlet
with filter is built into the cleaner, some dirt may remain in the cleaner,
which should also be rinsed out. Then you should put the filter unit back in
completely along the motor.
Caution: There is a positioning pin on the top of the filter housing,
please do not mount this incorrectly! Fig. 15.
After mounting the housing cover, the cover screws must be refitted.
Caution: To avoid any negative effect on the performance of the cleaner,
make sure that the cover is properly attached to the base housing. To avoid
any damage, please make sure that the cable is in the correct position. Fig.
16.
Hints and tips
Every time the cleaner is taken out of the water, the filter cleaner must be cleaned. Make sure the pH value of the water is between 7.0 and 7.2. Make sure the water temperature is between 12°C and 32°C. After every clean, the drive train must be thoroughly cleaned to ensure the same level of grip on the next clean. After pressing the “Power Off” button, the “Power On” button cannot be pressed for 30 seconds. We recommend keeping the cleaner between 5°C and 40°C in a shaded, well ventilated place. The mains cable should be coiled around the cable holder for storage. (The floats must not be pushed along the cable to ensure the cable floats properly in the water.) Avoid direct sunlight at all times. We recommend attaching the operating unit with a safety rope, to avoid any risk of the power pack being pulled into the pool. Before use, please read the instructions relating to trouble-shooting thoroughly.
Instructions for mounting the 4 locking plates on the cover
For pools with steps we recommend fitting locking plates to the cover. These
locking plates stop the cleaner from tipping.
Attach the stabiliser as shown in the photo. Fig. 22
Screw the screw in through the hole in the cover and tighten. Fig. 23.
Tighten the stabiliser with a Philips screwdriver.
