Insert 3 x 1.5V AAA batteries into the battery compartment located on the underside of the scale.

To turn on the scale, press the TARE ON/OFF button.

The weight display will show “0.0” when the scale is ready for use.

To weigh an object, place it on the scale and wait for the weight display to stabilize.

If you need to reset the weight to zero, press the TARE ON/OFF button.

To switch between units of measurement (grams, pounds & ounces, milliliters, and fluid ounces), press the UNIT button.

The scale will automatically shut off after approximately 2 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.

If the battery symbol appears on the display, it’s time to replace the batteries.

If the scale fails to work despite changing the batteries, make sure it’s placed on a flat surface and try turning it off and on again with the TARE ON/OFF button. If the problem persists, contact the retailer where you purchased the product from for advice.

Caution!Risk of injury!
- Keep this device and the batteries out of reach of children.
- Small parts can be swallowed by children (under three years old).
- Batteries contain harmful acids and may be hazardous if swallowed. If a battery is swallowed, this can lead to serious inter-nal burns and death within two hours. If you suspect a battery could have been swallowed or otherwise caught in the body, seek medical help immediately.
- Batteries must not be thrown into a fire, short-circuited, taken apart or recharged. Risk of explosion!
- Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible to prevent damage caused by leaking. Make sure the polarities are correct. Never use a combination of old and new batteries together, nor batteries of different types. Remove the batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period of time. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes when handling leaking batteries. In case of contact, immediately rinse the affected areas with water and consult a doctor.
Important information on product safety!
- Unauthorised repairs, alterations or changes to the product are prohibited.
- Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, vibrations or shocks.
- Do not overload the scale (max. 5000 g). Do not use the scale as storage space.
- Clean the device with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents. Not suitable for dishwasher.
- The device is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it from moisture!
- Strong electromagnetic fields (e.g. cell phones) may impair the accuracy of the scale.
- The scale is not intended to be used for commercial purposes.

Getting started
- Remove the protective film.
- Open the battery compartment on the back and insert 3 new batteries 1.5 V AAA, polarity as illustrated. Close the battery compartment.
Use of the scale
- Place the scale on a flat solid surface.
- In order to switch on the scale, press the TARE ON/OFF button. The backlight turns on and “0.0 g” (default) appears on the display.
- By pressing the UNIT button, the measuring unit can be changed.
- The sequence is shown as follows: g ➝ lb: oz ➝ ml ➝ fl.oz.
- As soon as “0.0” (for measuring unit “g”) appears on the display you can start weighing.
- Place the item to be weighed in the centre of the weighing platform.
- Your measured weight will be displayed in g (default) or in the weighting unit you have set.
- To switch off the instrument, press and hold TARE ON/OFF button.
- If no button is pressed within 2 minutes, the scale switches off automatically.
Tare function
- If you are using a bowl for measuring, put the bowl on the platform first and then turn on the scale. If the scale is already in use, press the TARE ON/OFF button to reset the display to “0.0”.
- If you want to measure more than one ingredient in the same bowl, press the TARE ON/OFF button before you put the new ingredient into the bowl. The display always goes back to “0.0” and you can continue the measuring process without pro-blems.
Battery replacement
- Change the batteries when the battery symbol appears on the display (see “Getting started”).

Waste disposal
This product and its packaging have been manufactured using high-grade

Disposal of the electrical device
Remove non-permanently installed batteries and rechargeable batteries from the
device and dispose of them sepa-rately.
This product is labelled in accordance with the EU Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE). This product must not be disposed of in
ordinary household waste. As a consumer, you are required to take end-of-life
devices to a designated collection point for the disposal of electrical and
electronic equipment, in order to ensure environmentally-compatible disposal.
The return service is free of charge. Observe the current regulations in
place!
Disposal of the batteries
Never dispose of empty batteries and rechargeable batteries with ordinary
household waste. They contain pollu-tants which, if improperly disposed of,
can harm the environment and human health. As a consumer, you are required by
law to take them to your retail store or to an appropriate collection site
depending on national or local regulations in order to protect the
environment. The return service is free of charge.
The symbols for the contained heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury,
Pb=lead.
