CALIBER HPG 640BT Bluetooth Speaker - Overview

  1. Passive radiators
    Amplify Bass in all directions

    Play /pause playback.

  7. TWS
    Press and hold to pair a second HPG640BT
    speaker. Long press to unpair the connected Bluetooth phone (or another device).

  8. OFF/ON switch
    Long press to turn ON
    Press short to turn OFF

  9. Battery indicator lights
    Shows the battery level (indication only)

  10. Powerbank and charging
    USB-A for powerbank function
    USB-C for charging function

  11. AUX-in
    Optional wired connection with jack-to-jack cable (cable incl.)

  12. Mic input
    1/4” (6,3mm) Jack plug input for external microphone (not included)

Precautions

Points to observe for safe usage
Read this manual carefully before using this device and its components.
They contain instructions on how to use this product in a safe and effective manner. Caliber Europe BV cannot be responsible for problems resulting from failure to observe the instructions in this manual.
Turn off the device immediately in case of a problem.
Failure to do so may cause personal injury or damage to the product.
Return it to your authorized Caliber Europe BV dealer for repair.

Product cleaning.
Use a soft dry cloth for periodic cleaning of the product. For more severe stains, please dampen the cloth with water only. Anything else has the chance of dissolving the paint  or damaging the plastic.

Temperature.
Ensure that the ambient temperature is between 0°C and +45°C before turning on the device.

Maintenance.
If you have problems, do not attempt to repair the device yourself. Return it to your Caliber Europe BV dealer for servicing.
Placement.
Place the product on a flat surface. Provide enough space around the product for sufficient ventilation.
Heat.
Do not locate the appliance in the vicinity of a heated surface or in direct sunlight.
Voltage.
Check the main voltage indicated on the adapter/product rating label in accordance to the local electricity supply, if it doesn’t, return the product to the store where you bought it.
Plug.
Remove the plug from the outlet, when the product is unused for a long period of time and during thunderstorms.
Replace battery.
The built-in rechargeable battery is not replaceable. Do not remove or replace the battery, do not throw in the trash or in the fire. Use only supplied charging adapter.

Below are the descriptions of the features/options of the HPG 640BT, hereafter called “device”.. The numbers between the “(…)” refer to the key or connections on the device.  The illustrations can be found in the front of this manual.

Power ON/OFF
Long press the power button (8) to turn ON
Short press to turn OFF

Battery charging

The device has a built-in rechargeable battery. The device is provided with a USB power cable.
Use a USB adapter (included) and connect the adapter to the DC-in of the device (10). While charging, the indicators will light up. The charging time is 5 hours with the included adapter.
When the device is being charged, the charging indicators (9) light up. When the charging indicators are off, the device is fully charged. The average charging time of the device is between 5 and 9 hours.
The device will operate without the charging cable using the internal battery.
The battery discharge depends on its use of it. E.G: Heavy, loud, bass music will use more energy to produce than the spoken word.

Bluetooth connection

  • Turn ON the speaker.
  • Set your Bluetooth device to ‘Search’ using the device’s Bluetooth menu.
  • Choose “STATEMENT” from the list.
  • Select “STATEMENT” from the list. If necessary, confirm the pairing with the access key: “0000”.
  • When the devices are paired successfully, a sound will be heard and you can start playing music on your device. If your device supports AVRCP you can use the buttons on this device to control the playback.

Powerbank function

  • To use the power bank function, the speaker must be switched on.
  • Connect the phone with a cable to the USB-A socket (10) on the device. The phone will start charging.

Note: Using the power bank function will affect the device’s playback time.

AUX-IN

You can connect an external device e.g. MP3 player to the AUX-in (11) of this device using a jack-to-jack (cable included).

  • When an external device is connected, The device will switch to Aux-in mode automatically.
  • Start playing music on your external device.
    Note: The playback control buttons on this device will not work in this mode.

TWS

  1. Turn on two identical speakers you want to pair, please note they must have the same BT pairing name. Only need to set up one of the two devices.

  2. Press TWS “ button (7), and the speaker will make a tone to start pairing, and make a tone again once successfully paired.

  3. Make a Bluetooth connection with your mobile phone to play music by the two paired Speakers to create a more powerful surround sound effect.

  4. When you want to exit the TWS mode, press TWS “ button again to exit the TWS function.
    Note: 1. Users need to make a TWS connection first, then make a Bluetooth connection with the mobile phone.

  5. Under TWS mode and Bluetooth connected, when the user long-press the TWS button, both the TWS connection and Bluetooth connection will be disconnected.

Remark: Under the TWS mode, if you connected your mobile phone to the device (you set at the beginning) via the provided audio cable, it will start to play AUX via TWS  function, under this status, you can not switch to Bluetooth mode by pressing the Mode button.

Activate Voice Assistant:

  • Connect your phone to the speaker
  • Long press the play/pause button to activate the voice assistant

Make hands-free calls:

  • If your phone is paired with the speaker and you receive a call, a short press on the play/pause button will accept the incoming call. The long-press play/pause button will reject the incoming call.
  • During the phone call, long-press the play/pause button to continue the call on your phone.
  • Short press the play/pause button to end the call.
    If the speaker no longer responds to anything or does not turn on or off, you can use a thin pin to press the reset button (11) to get the speaker to work again.

| Old appliances and/or batteries must not be disposed of with garbage!
If the device/battery can not be used anymore, every user is legally obliged to dispose of old appliances and/or batteries separated from the garbage, e.g. at a collection point of his municipality/district.
