We have never tried using a Remote extender in our unit. We would say no.

Does this unit support ARC HDMI?

This unit is not supported by the ARC feature.

Can it be used with standard high definition t.v.?

Yes it can be used with standard high definition tv as what is said in the description of the unit

Can I use Sennheiser headphones with this unit?

The unit does not have a headphone jack

Which input on the receiver is best to use for a phonograph with RCA jacks?

If the turntable has its own built-in preamp you can use any of the input RCA

Can I play this unit outside?

The unit is only for indoor home theater systems only

Would these Sony speakers overheat the amplifier even though we do not play it loud?

It may work but it will definitely heat up the receiver faster.

The Display is very light and cannot be seen unless the room gets dark. Is there a way to adjust the display?

There is no Brightness adjustment for the screen

How or where can I buy a replacement remote control for PT696BT?

Remote control for the unit is currently not available

Unit has hum in the center channel as well as the left and right rear channels. there is crackling noise from the left and right front channels.

the amp goes into protect mode when I use our karaoke mics even at the lowest settings Kindly check the speaker wire. I wired the receiver exactly how I worked with my previous receiver (Sony). I have no volume control although I do get sound. I cannot set the bass or treble. I have a BOSE system with a subwoofer. Why does it turn on for a minute and then turn off? it does not work

Optical and HDMI inputs are not working. Also, BT Audio plays for a short time and then the sound stops and the Receiver says Protect on the LCD Screen. How do I fix this issue?
Check all speaker connections if there are no wires crossing over or making a short. Check the speaker impedance if they are all 4 or 8 ohms
