Keep these operation instructions in a safe place.

About the product

To facilitate the thorough cleaning of hard-to-reach places, the vacuum cleaner is equipped with a large container and a flexible hose. It also comes with a replaceable air filter. The product is not intended for commercial use. The correct, reliable, and safe operation of the device depends on its proper use.
  • Before working with the device, read the entire manual and follow all instructions and directions contained therein.
  • No responsibility is assumed for damage or injury caused by failure to observe the safety regulations and instructions in this manual.
  • The unit is supplied fully assembled and requires no assembly. The delivery also includes an elastic hose as well as an aluminium suction nozzle.

Safety instructions

  • This device may only be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental abilities or a lack of experience or knowledge in case a person familiar with the device and responsible for their safety has instructed and supervises them.
  • Children must not use the device and should be supervised when they are near it to ensure that they do not play with it. Cleaning and maintenance work by children should not be carried out without supervision.
  • The vacuum cleaner is intended for dry operation. Sucking up water, wet ash or other wet waste materials is prohibited. This creates a risk of electric shock, which may result in a health hazard to the user or uninvolved persons.
  • Never vacuum hot, glowing or burning objects. This may cause a fire or explosion and result in serious injury or death to the user. The maximum temperature of the impurities to be vacuumed must not exceed 40 ℃.
  • The device is intended for indoor use and must not be exposed to the effects of water, including rain.
  • Before connecting the power plug to the mains, make sure that the parameters of the power supply match those on the name plate.

Operating the unit

Preparation

  • First check the container of the vacuum cleaner and clean it of waste material if necessary. Then check the condition of the filters. The ash vacuum cleaner has two types of filters: a rigid one equipped with a rubber seal and a fabric filter. When dirty, the filters must be cleaned using compressed air at no more than 3 bar pressure. If the dirt cannot be removed from the filters, they must be replaced with new ones. Check the condition of the seal integrated at the upper edge of the rigid filter. If it is damaged, the filter must be replaced with a new one.

Note! It is forbidden to operate the vacuum cleaner without a properly fitted air filter. Otherwise, it might damage the vacuum cleaner and increase the risk of electric shock.

Small wheels can be attached to the baseplate of the vacuum cleaner. For this purpose, the pin of the wheels must be pressed into the opening of the baseplate.

There is a small metal chain on the underside of the container. Check that it is in contact with the base during operation, as this can dissipate electrical charge that has built up during operation.

The fabric filter is pulled over the rigid filter so that the fabric filter surrounds the rigid filter at the top.

When attaching the filters to the underside of the lid, make sure that the seal of the stiff filter sits evenly. The gasket integrated at the top of the filter has a flange that allows the filter to be securely fastened.

Attach the lid to the container so that it fits perfectly on the rim. Secure the lid to the container using the latches. There are two marked spots on the lid that help to ensure that this connection is tight.

Connect the elastic hose to the inlet. The hose connector must be inserted into the hole so that its notches align with the bulges of the inlet, and then turned in the direction of the arrow marked “LOCK.” Make sure that the hose does not slip out of the hole during operation.

To remove the hose later, turn the connector in the direction of the arrow marked “LOOSE” and pull it out of the inlet.

Commissioning

Attention! Vacuuming hot ash is prohibited. The temperature of the suction material must not exceed 40 ℃

  • Make sure that all preparatory measures have been completed.
  • Also make sure that the switch of the vacuum cleaner is set to “O” (Off) before connecting the appliance to the mains.
  • Next, insert the plug of the power cord into the socket and set the switch to “I” (On).
  • After finishing work and before carrying out maintenance work, switch the vacuum cleaner off and disconnect the plug.

Note! When using the vacuum cleaner as a blower, make sure that the container has been emptied and the filter either cleaned or replaced with a new one. Otherwise, any dirt remaining in the container may be blown out through the outlet opening.

Maintenance

Note! Pull out the plug before carrying out maintenance work!

  • After each use of the vacuum cleaner, the container, lid seal, and air filter must be checked as described in these instructions.
  • The ash vacuum cleaner is cleaned from the outside with compressed air at a maximum pressure of 3 bar. During this process, particular attention must be paid to the ventilation openings for the supply and exhaust air. If necessary, clean them with compressed air at a maximum of 3 bar. Do not use sharp metal objects to clean the ventilation openings.
  • When cleaning the ash vacuum cleaner, do not immerse it in water.
  • Before each use, the vacuum cleaner hose must be checked for damage. Never use a damaged hose. Any major soiling of the housing should be removed with a soft cloth.
