Introduction

This product is a wireless display receiver. It supports AirPlay mirroring for Apple iOS and Mac systems, as well as Miracast standard protocol for Android and Windows systems, for synchronizing screens on the display of mobile phones, tablets, and notebooks to TV, projectors car screens, and other big screens, enjoy the big screen fun. in addition it is also suitable for home multimedia applications and DLNA mode of network players. This product’s “screen sharing” concept is suitable for home entertainment, business meetings, party sharing, and other scenarios, and enjoying the beauty of big- screen sharing. This manual will guide you to unlock the powerful functions of this product.

Hardware installation

1. Connect the wireless display adapter to the HDMI port of the TV with an HDMI cable, and connect the USB port of the TV with a USB power cable. If the power supply of the TV USB interface is insufficient please use a minimum 5V/1A charger to supply power for the wireless display adapter. The headphone jack of the device can support 3.5mm to AV output for connecting to active speakers or TVs with AV input.

2. Adjust the TV signal source to the corresponding HDMI channel and you will see the boot screen of the display dongle.

IOS system mirroring function

The mirroring screen is the core function of this product, which is suitable for mobile phones and tablets of IOS8.0 and above.

1. Keep the boot interface is in the IOS/MAC system dedicated mode interface.
2. As the picture shows, click the “screen mirroring’ button, select and click the name of the Renkchip device, and you can successfully share the screen.

For MAC system mirroring

1. When using this product on Macbook, please keep it in the dedicated mode interface of the IOS/MAC system.

2. Open the AirPlay button in the upper right corner of the Macbook, select the RENKCHIP-XXXX device, and the mirroring is successful.

For the Android system mirroring

The Mirroring mode is the core function of this product, which is suitable for mobile phones and tablets with Android 4.4 and above that support the Miracast protocol. 1. Please confirm that the product is in the dedicated interface of the Android/Windows system. ( press the switch button on the front of the device to switch to the dedicated  interface for the Android/Windows system)

2. Turn on the Miracast function on your Android device. There are common shortcut key operations, such as Samsung Smartview Huawei multi-screen interaction. For models without shortcut keys generally go to Settings > More Connection Settings> Screen Mirroring or Settings>Display>Screen Casting, or Settings>WLAN> More Settings > Screen Mirroring.

3. Select the ‘”RENKCHIP-XXXX’ device in the Miracast function, wait for a few seconds, and the phone screen will be automatically displayed on the TV after the connection is successful.

Notice:
Different Android devices have different Miracast names. Common names include screen sharing, wireless display, screen mirroring, etc; there are also differences in how to open it, Common in the system settings menu Wi-Fi settings, wireless display, etc., or in the list of shortcut keys at the top of the screen. For details, please refer to the instruction manual of the mobile phone manufacturer.

Windows system mirroring mode

The mirroring mode is the core function of this product, which is applicable for Windows 8.1 and above, need the CPU, graphics, and wireless network are all Intel. Before use,  please make sure this laptop is in Miracast mode.

1. Use the shortcut key Windows +P.

2. Select the “Connect to Wireless Display” option.

3. Select the device “RENKCHIP-XXXX”, wait for a few seconds, and the screen can be successfully displayed.

DLNA Function

To realize the DLNA function, firstly, you need to set up the network connection between the device and the router. This product is suitable for 2.4G&5G dual WiFi channels.

1. Keep the boot interface in the Android/Windows system dedicated mode.

2. Open the phone settings > > > Open WIFI > >> find the Renkchip-XXxX hotspot >> enter the password: 12345678.

3. After the phone is successfully connected to the hotspot, return to the main interface of the mobile phone, open the mobile phone browser, enter the URL 192.168.49.1,  click “Enter” and click “SCAN’, and wait for the mobile phone to search for the hotspots of the surrounding routers.

4. After searching for the surrounding routing signals, find your router name, click and enter the routing password. Wait for a while, the network connection is completed between the device and the router.

Notice:

1. In the DLNA mode, you only need to set up the network for the first time, after that, it will automatically connect to the WiFi that was connected for the first time after it is turned on.
2. Please set the device connected to the 5G wifi, because the 5G wifi experience is better.

How to use the DLNA function on Android phones and IOS phones

Open the mobile phone’s audio and video APP selects the program source to want to play, click the DLNA/Airplay screen projection button in the upper right corner of the video after playing, and search for the “Renchip-XXXX* and click to use the DLNA/Airplay playback.

Common fault analysis

Q. There is no boot screen, the screen shows no signal.
A. Please check whether the HDMI port connected to the device is consistent with the HDMI port selected by the TV signal source, or replace another HDMI port for data  transmission. When the USB power supply port of the TV cannot reach 5V/1A, please choose another power supply method.
Q. After using mirroring mode, the screen freezes and delays.
A. Check whether the power supply is 5V/1A, and check whether the WiFi channel connected to the mobile phone is the same as the device. If there is a certain interference in WiFi transmission, please stay away from microwave ovens, induction cookers, and other household appliances that have interference. If the current WiFi environment is very noisy and the wireless signal interference is serious, please try to change the Wi-Fi channel of the router.
Q. After the mirroring is completed, enter some video apps, there is sound but no video signal, and the screen tips the Airplay status.
A. Please completely close the APP in the background of the mobile phone, and then select the mirroring mode. After the mirroring is completed, open the video APP again.
Q.The mobile phone system has been upgraded and this product cannot be used.
A. This product will also release a new version of the firmware for the mobile phone version upgrade. Just set the product connected to an available network, and the product will automatically download the new firmware and install it.
Q. Unable to enter the IP address 192.168.49.1 of this product.
A. Please check whether the product is in Android/Windows mode and whether the signal connection between the mobile phone WiFi and the product has been interrupted.  Please ensure that the mobile phone is connected to the Hotpoint named RENKCHIP-XXXX, and then enter the browser and enter the IP address.
Q. The signal of this product cannot be found in the mobile WiFi list.
A. Please check whether this product is in Android/Windows mode.
In IOS/MAC mode, the product will not transmit Wifi signals. Also, please confirm whether the power supply meets the specifications.
Q. The function of the 3.5mm AV port on this product.
A. This product has an original HDMI+AV dual output mode. Some monitors do not have an HDMI port. You can choose to use an AV port to transmit video. In addition, the  AV port of this product can be connected to an external active speaker, which can bring better sound effects.
Q. When using the laptop, it prompts “unable to connect” or “device does not respond”.When using the laptop, it prompts “unable to connect” or “device does not respond’.
A. Please check whether the power supply 5V/1A is in compliance with the specifications. The laptop needs to meet four conditions: Intel processor, Intel graphics, Intel wireless networker, Win8.1, and above systems.
