These operating instructions

Safety instructions

Never connect the timer to an extension cable or adapter. Instead only connect it directly to the power socket since otherwise overheating can occur.
The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
Use the product only for the intended purpose.
Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the specifications.
The maximum connected load is 1800 Watt (resistive load). In the event of an overload, there is a risk of destroying the timer.
Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating and use it in dry environments only.
Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
As with all electrical products, this device should be kept out of the reach of children.
Dispose of packaging material in accordance with the locally applicable regulations.
Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.
Never connect multiple units of this product in series.
Do not use any heat-generating devices (such as electric blankets, coffee machines, etc.) with this product. There is a risk of fire and injury.
Do not use this product with any devices that are motorised or any devices that have a rotating component or tool. There is a risk of injury.
The product is intended only for use inside buildings.
Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters, other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
Only use the article under moderate climatic conditions.
Do not use the product in areas in which electronic products are not permitted.
Do not use the product in a damp environment and avoid splashing water.
Avoid storing, charging and using in extreme temperatures and at extremely low atmospheric pressures (such as at high altitudes).
Do not incinerate the battery or the product.
Do not tamper with or damage/heat/disassemble the batteries/rechargeable batteries.
The product must only be operated on a supply network as described on the type plate.
Use the timer only in permanently installed wall sockets.

Risk of electric shock

Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it becomes damaged.
Do not use the product if the AC adapter, the adapter cable or the mains cable are damaged.
Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave any and all service work to qualified experts.

Getting started

Warning

Only operate the product from an approved socket that is connected to the public power supply. The socket must be installed close to the product and must be easily accessible.
Disconnect the product from the power supply using the On/Off switch – if this is not available, unplug the power cord from the socket.
If using a multi-socket power strip, make sure that the total power consumption of all connected devices does not exceed the socket strip’s maximum throughput rating.
If you will not be using the product for a prolonged period, disconnect it from mains power.

Plug the timer into an approved and easily accessible wall socket to charge the integrated battery. If you want to make the settings immediately, leave the timer in the socket. If the display does not show anything, press the reset button (9).

Note

There is a rechargeable battery in the unit. This ensures that the time continues to run even if the timer is not connected to a socket. The times already programmed also remain stored.
When not used for a prolonged period, the internal battery will discharge. Plug the timer into an electric socket for approx. 24 hours every 3 months to charge the internal battery.

Basic settings

Note that these basic settings are only possible while the current time is displayed. If the timer is in programming mode, press the CLOCK button (2) to switch to the display of the current time.

12/24-hour format

Press and hold the CLOCK button (2) until the time indication on the display changes to the desired time format.

Weekday & time

Press and hold the SET button (6) until the day of the week indicator in the upper part of the display starts flashing.
Set the following information in sequence:
Current day of the week (Mon, Tu, We, Th, Fr, Sa, Su)
Hours (Current time)
Minutes (Current time)
To select the individual values, press the Λ+button (7) or the V–button (8) and confirm the selection by pressing the SET button (6).

Summer / winter time

Press the CLOCK button (2) and the V- button (8) simultaneously to activate summer time.
The time is advanced by one hour and S appears on the display.
Press the CLOCK button (2) and the V- button (8) again simultaneously to deactivate summer time or activate winter time.
The time is set back one hour and S on the display goes out.

Programming

You can program up to 20 programs (1 – 20) with separate ON and OFF times at which the connected terminal is switched on or off.

Press the Λ+button (7) to switch from the current time display to the programming mode. 1ON is shown on the lower left side of the display.
Press the Λ+button (7) repeatedly to switch between the programs and their on and off times.
Sequence: 1ON → 1OFF → 2ON →…→ 20ON → 20OFF → d ON / d OFF → Display current time → 1OON → 1OFF …
Alternatively, press the V- button (8) to switch between the programs in reverse order.
When the desired program – e.g. 3ON – is displayed, press the SET key (6) until the day of the week display starts flashing.
Set the following information in sequence:

Weekdays on which the connected device is to be switched on/off (see table)

Hours: Time at which the connected device is to be switched on/off
Minutes: Time at which the connected device is to be switched on/off To select the individual values, press the Λ+button (7) or the V–button (8) and confirm the selection by pressing the SET button (6).
Press the Λ+ button (7) or the V- button (8) again to select further programs if necessary and make the settings accordingly.
Press the CLOCK button (2) to exit the settings.
If no buttons are pressed for 15 seconds, the display jumps back to the current time. The settings made so far are saved.

Note – Programming

Make sure to program the switch-on and switch off time for each program. For example, if you make the settings for 3ON, you also program the switch-off time under 3OFF.
To change a program that has already been created, make the settings again as described above, thereby overwriting the original programming.

Countdown

You can set a countdown after which the connected device is switched on or off.

Settings

Press the V- button (8) until d ON or d OFF is shown on the lower left side of the display.
Press the SET button (6) until the ON / OFF indicator starts flashing.
Set the following information in sequence:
Countdown mode that switches the connected device on or off for the set countdown duration (d ON / d OFF)
Countdown duration (between 00:00:01 and 99:59:59)
To select the individual values, press the Λ+button (7) or the V–button (8) and confirm the selection by pressing the SET button (6).
Press the CLOCK button (2) to exit the settings.

Activation

First proceed as described in point 5. Operation and activate the AUTO operating mode.
Press the C.D. button (3) to start the countdown. CD flashes in the lower left corner of the display.
After the set countdown time has elapsed, the connected device is switched on or off.
Press the C.D. button (3) again to stop the countdown. The CD indicator goes out.

Note – Countdown

To change the countdown, make the settings again as described above, thereby overwriting the original programming.
If the countdown has already started, press the V- button (8) while the current time is displayed to display the remaining countdown time.

Random mode

When random mode is activated, the connected device is switched on or off at irregular intervals (see table).

Activation

First proceed as described in 5. Operation and activate the AUTO operating mode.
Press the RND button (4) to start random mode. R is shown in the upper right corner of the display.
The connected device is now switched on or off at irregular intervals, but within the intervals indicated in the table.
Press the RND button (4) again to end random mode. The R indicator goes out.

Operation

Make all settings according to your wishes – as described in 4. Commissioning.
Switch off the device that is to be plugged into the timer.
Plug the device into the socket of the timer using a mains plug.
Connect the timer to an approved and easily accessible wall socket.
Switch the connected device on. This is then switched on and off according to your settings via the timer.
Press the ON/OFF button (5) repeatedly to switch between the operating modes (ON/AUTO/OFF). The current mode is shown on the display

Note

Note that the programmed on and off times, the countdown and random mode can only be activated when the timer is in AUTO operating mode.
Also note that when the countdown or random mode is activated, the programmed switch-on and switch-off times are not executed.

Reset

Press the RESET button (9) to reset the timer to the factory setting. All settings that have already been made will be lost.

Care and maintenance

Note
Disconnect the device from the mains before cleaning and during prolonged periods of non-use.

Only clean this product using a lint-free, slightly damp cloth and do not use any harsh cleaners.
