Product Usage Instructions:

Using the Apple Find My App

To utilize the Apple Find My network with the eTAG, ensure you have the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, or macOS installed on your Apple device. You can also use the Find Items app on your Apple Watch, which requires the latest version of watchOS.

Replacing the Battery

  1. Disassemble the eTAG into two parts through the slot between the top and bottom covers.
  2. Remove the old CR2032 battery.
  3. Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive side facing upwards.

Safety and Warnings

The eTAG is designed to prevent unwanted tracking. If you do not have an iOS device, the eTAG will emit a repeated sound over time
for easy location.

MAIN REQUIREMENTS

Before setting eTAG up, please check that you have the following requirements:

  • Apple device (iPhone® 6S and up, iPad®, iPod Touch® or Mac®) with iOS 14.5, iPadOS 14.5 or subsequent versions and two-factor authentication turned on.
  • Find My function turned on
  • Bluetooth® turned on
  • Good mobile or Wi-Fi connection
  • Tracking services on
  • Turn on tracking for the Find My app. To do this, just go to Settings > Privacy > Tracking > scroll down and press “Find My”. Select “While using the app”. Then turn on “Exact position”.

DESCRIPTION OF BUTTONS AND SOUNDS (1)

  • Power On > Press the button (long beep)
  • Press and hold the button for 3 seconds (2 beeps)

  • Reset > Press the button 5 times, then hold it until you hear a long beep (remove eTAG from the “Find My” app before resetting it). Remove object > Press “Remove Object” on the “Find My” app (long beep)
  • Press “Ring” > Press “Ring” on the “Find My” app (beeps 13 times)

SETTING UP eTAG

Remove the plastic tab if it is a new device

  1. Turn on the device: turn on eTAG by pressing the central button
  2. Pair el AG with the device:
  3. Open the “Find My” app
  4.  Keep eTAG near the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Press” +” and then “Add another object”. Wait until eTAG is displayed on the device. Then press “Connect”. If you have several object-finders, make sure that just one finder is near the device.
  5. Choose the name for the object and choose an emoji.
  6. Press” agree” to allow a connection between the device and your Apple ID
  7. Press “End” You can now link eTAG to the object you want to track and you can display the object on the Find My app.
  8. Enable “Lost” mode
  9. Open the “Find My” app and press the object icon. Then press “Enable “below” Lost Mode”
  10. Press “Continue” and add your telephone number or e-mail address so you can be contacted if someone else finds the lost object
  11. Confirm the information, customise the lost message and press “ON” to finish setting it up.
  12. Removing eTAG
  13. Open the “Find My” app and press the object icon.
  14. Scroll down and press “Remove Object”

Note: after you have removed eTAG from the app, the device will remain on stand-by for at least 6 months, so you can reconnect directly at any time.

MAIN FUNCTIONS
Finding objects far away: when you are out of Bluetooth® range, use the Find My app to display the object on the map and to get directions to it.

To display eTAG on the map

  • Open the Find My app and select the Objects panel

  • Choose the object you want to find on the Objects list

  • If eTAG is in range of the device or if the Find My network has recently found it, it will be displayed on the map. The updated position, date and time will be displayed below its name

  • If eTAG is out of range of the device or any other device on the Find My network, its last position, date and time will be displayed.
    To receive a notification when eTag is in range of the device or is found by the Find My network, turn on “Notify me when found” in the Notifications section. Finding objects nearby: make elag ring when you are near the object to find it. To make eTAG ring:

  • Open the Find My app, then press the Objects panel

  • On the Objects list, choose the object you want to make a sound

  • Press “Ring”. If eTAG is in Bluetooth® range, it will make a sound.

  • To stop the sound before it finishes automatically, press “Stop”.

BATTERY (2)

eTAG contains a button battery. You might need to replace the battery during the product’s life-cycle. Only replace it with the same type of battery (CR2032) and with the same power, following the correct polarity. You can monitor the battery level on the Find My app. When the battery is running low, the Find My app will send a notification. Replacing the battery

  1. Disassemble the product into two parts through the slot between the top and bottom covers.

  3. Insert a CR2032 battery into the device with the positive side (+) facing upwards.
  4. Connect the top and bottom covers and press firmly.

SAFETY AND WARNINGS

eTAG is designed to avoid any unwanted tracking. If someone else’s eTag is seen moving with you over time, you will receive a notification in one of the two following ways:

  1.  It you have an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, the Find My app will send a notification to your Apple device. This function is available on ios or ipad iOs 14.5 or subsequent versions.
  2. If you do not have an iOS device, eTAG will make a repeated sound over time.
  3. These functions have been specifically created to deter people from trying to track you without your knowledge.
