**Remo  ving Rear Trim

**

Step 1: Remove the rubber insert from the back of the center console.

Step 2: Working on the same rear trim piece, remove the four T15 bolts from the inside of that tray.

Step 3: Afterwards, using a trim tool separate the rear trim panel by prying it upwards gently. Work along the seam to protect the plastic cup holders. The top portion of the panel clips release upwards, therefore, you need to pry upwards.

Installing Harness

Step 1: Locate this brown plug and gray connector for the cigarette lighter outlet. This is found on therear of the console under the trim panel that was just removed. Remove the gray connector by pressing the release tab inwards.

Step 2: Take the gray connector that was just removed and plug it into the black cylindrical plug on the provided wire harness.

Step 3: Utilizing the new gray connector on the provided wire harness, connect it to the factory brown plug. Note the new gray connector is now in place of the old gray connector.

Step 4: Open and lift the center console lid.

Step 5: The small 2 pin connector from the wire harness needs to be moved from the back of the console to the front of the console. Take the single connector end of the wire  harness and feed it under the center console’s lid hinge.

Mounting Charger

Step 1: Using a flat ended tool pry the plastic cover from the underside of the console lid.

Step 2: Moving back the to underside of the console lid, locate the factory charging unit. To remove, disconnect the wiring attach and unscrew the four T15 bolts. The original wireless charger can be discarded.

Step 3: To remove the old phone charging mounting brackets, these seven T15 bolts need to be  removed from the underside of the console lid.

Step 4: Pry the outer trim piece from the console with a trim tool. Wedge the tool between the outermost sides of the plastic trim piece to remove. Once removed pick up and  discard the old rubber mat that rested below.

Step 5: Take the new Boost Auto Parts wireless charger and set the wire loom down into the console opening. This would leave the orientation of the chargers button and lights to be towards the rear of the vehicle. Fully set the charger down on the console.

Step 6: Reinsert the outer trim piece back on the console. Center both the wireless charger and the trim piece to ensure proper alignment.

Step 7: Holding the wireless charger to the lid, lift the console lid up to expose the underside. Reinstall the seven bolts to secure the charger to the console.

Notice: Over-tightening the screws can damage the charging unit. It’s recommended to only use hand tools to prevent over-torquing the screws.
Step 8: Utilizing both wire harness provided connect the small two-pin black connectors together.

Reassembling the Console

Step 1: Before reinstalling the trim panel, make sure to hold the excess wire up and over to the right. The wiring harness needs to come out through the small gap by the right lid hinge.

Step 2: Reinstall the under-lid trim panel, and verify that the wire harness is aligned with the gap at the bottom right.

Step 3: Back to the rear of the console, take the excess wiring harness and neatly bundle it together. Make sure to apply tension to either ends of the harness as it can be damaged.

Step 4: While holding the wiring up and away from the sides, grab the rear trim piece. Carefully reinstall the trim panel, keeping the wire harness tucked into the panel at the  same time. Note the entire harness should be inside the console leaving no hanging out.

Step 5: Reinstall these four T15 bolts.

Step 6: Place the rubber tray back into the rear of the console.

Turning Charger Off & On

When looking at the charger, the small circle in the middle is a press-in- style button. It sits slightly lower than the charger mat to prevent unintentional activations. This button is the only way to turn the charger off/on and is used to change modes.
Hold the button down for three seconds to turn the charger on or off. The red light will flash slowly before remaining off indicating the charger is off.![BOOST AUTO PARTS 2014 2019 GM Wireless Phone Charging Kit for GM Trucks
