BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT YOU SHOULD READ THIS USER MANUAL PROPERLY

Introduction

Thank you for purchasing this Maxima product. In order to obtain the maximum benefit and use of this product, please read these instructions completely before attempting to install or use this product.
Your new Maxima product is manufactured with advanced production techniques. Every product is inspected before shipment and tested to ensure operator safety and product quality. All parameters have reached or exceeded the national standard.
The Maxima potato peelers can be used to peel different food products. The machines are safe, stable, and easy-to-use. This appliance can be used for example to peel potatoes, but can also be used to peel carrots. All parts in contact with food are made of stainless steel or food-grade materials.

Safety regulations

  • Incorrect operation and improper use of the appliance can seriously damage the appliance and injure users.
  • The appliance may only be used for the purpose for which it was intended and designed. The manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused by incorrect operation and improper use.
  • This appliance may only be used for the peeling of food.
  • Keep the appliance and electrical plug away from water and any other liquids. In the unlikely event that the appliance should fall into water, immediately pull the plug out of the socket and have the appliance checked by a certified technician. Not following these instructions could give rise to life-threatening situations.
  • Never try to open the casing of the appliance yourself.
  • Do not insert any objects in the casing of the appliance.
  • Do not place the appliance on its side or upside down, also not while the appliance is being transported. Do not turn the appliance in an angle of more than 45°.
  • Do not touch the plug with wet or damp hands.
  • Regularly check the plug and cord for any damage. When the plug or cord is damaged, you should have it repaired by a certified repair company.
  • Do not use the appliance after it has fallen or is damaged in any other way. Have it checked and repaired by a certified repair company.
  • Do not try to repair the appliance yourself. This could result in life-threatening situations.
  • Make sure the cord does not come in contact with sharp or hot objects and keep it away from open fire. To pull the plug out of the socket, always pull on the plug and not on the cord.
  • Make sure that no one can accidentally pull the cord loose or trip over the cord.
  • Always keep an eye on the appliance when in use.
  • Never let children use appliances without supervision.
  • Always pull the plug out of the socket when the appliance is not being used and always before cleaning.
  • Warning! As long as the plug is in the socket the appliance is connected to the power source.
  • Turn off the appliance before pulling the plug out of the socket.
  • Never carry the appliance by the cord.
  • Avoid overloading the appliance.
  • Do not use any extra devices that are not supplied along with the appliance.
  • The electrical installation must satisfy the applicable national and local regulations.

Preparations before using for the first time

  • Check to make sure the appliance is undamaged. In case of any damage, contact your supplier immediately, and do NOT use the appliance.
  • Remove all the packing material.
  • Place the appliance in the middle of a steady place and level the appliance.
  • Make sure the appliance is not placed next to any sources that radiate heat (for example a heater, stove or oven).
  • Make sure the appliance is placed 10 cm from every other object or walls.
  • Position the appliance in such a way that the plug is accessible at all times.
  • Clean the accessories and the appliance with luke-warm water and a soft cloth.
  • Place the appliance close to a water tap.
  • Place the appliance close to a drain.
  • Place your water inlet tube (you have to supply this yourself) with one end to the water tap and the other end on top of the appliance.
  • Connect the blue outlet tube with the filter tank and place the filter tank completely underneath the appliance. Place the other end in the drain where water can flow away easily.
  • Follow the steps in chapter `Operation’.

Operation

  • Plug the appliance into the main socket. Make certain the socket is earthed.

  • By lifting up the iron handle, the plastic lid will be lifted from the appliance, you can now look within the appliance.

  • Place the product you want to peel in the appliance.

  • Warning! Do not place more products within the appliance than the abrasive band within the appliance.

  • Check again whether the inlet and outlet tube are placed correctly. Check whether the door at the front of the appliance is closed correctly, when this is not the case, the appliance will not work.

  • Warning! Turn on the water tap before starting the appliance.

  • Use the green button to start the appliance. The appliance needs 2 ­ 3 minutes for one peeling cycle. Do not let the machine work longer than 5 minutes.

  • Press the red button to end the cycle or in case of an EMERGENCY.

  • Warning! Do not go with your hands in the appliance when the appliance is turned on.

  • Warning! When the appliance is overloaded or stuck, the appliance will stop automatically. Turn off the appliance and control whether something has got stuck and check the amount that is placed in the appliance.

  • It is possible to let the appliance eject the contents. When you open the door at the front and hold it up by the handle, you can use your other hand to press the white and green button at the same time. The machine will eject the products at a lower speed. We advise you to put a bucket or similar underneath to catch the contents.

  • Warning! When not all the products left the appliance, do not put your hands into the appliance. Turn off the appliance first and then it is possible to put your hand in the appliance and take out the products which are still left.

  • The water will fall into the filter tank, the filter will make certain coarse peel will not fall into the drain.

  • When the appliance will not be used for a longer period, please remove the plug from the main socket.

  • When you are finished with the appliance, make sure it is cleaned according to the steps in chapter `Cleaning and maintenance’.

  • Warning! We advise you to clean daily, because parts of the products that stay behind may cause damage to your appliance.

Cleaning and maintenance

  • Always remove the plug from the socket before any cleaning or maintenance is being done to the appliance.
  • Warning! Do not use any aggressive detergents or scourers, which may cause scratches. Do not use gasoline containing or solvents while cleaning. Make sure no water enters the appliance.
  • Warning! Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid!
  • By lifting up the iron handle, the plastic lid will be lifted from the appliance, you can now look within the appliance.
  • Next it is possible to remove the clamps on the side of the iron lid and remove the lid from the appliance.
  • By removing the clamps on the bottom of the appliance, it is possible to remove the cask carefully and clean it.
  • Warning! Do not remove any parts violently, this will be excluded from warranty.
  • Clean the accessories and the appliance with a damp cloth and brush (water with mild detergent). Dry the appliance and parts totally by making use of a dry towel.
  • Warning! Do not put parts in the dishwasher; the detergents might be too aggressive.

Storage

The following does not belong to free services:

  1. Damages result from transportation, installation, improper connections.
  2. Component damages caused by failing to provide power and voltage as required in technical data.
  3. Damages caused by disassembling products, adjust or change the mechanical and electrical structures without permission.
  4. Damages caused by improper operation, cleaning, and maintenance.
  5. Non-man-made damage, such as damages from abnormal voltage, fire, building collapse, lightning, floods, and other natural disasters, and damages from rats and other pests.
  6. Failure in following the manual when operating.
  7. Wearable and expendable parts. 8. Altered invoice or without invoice.

Discarding

  • When discarding the appliance at the end of its useful life, please observe the regulations and guidelines in force at that time.
