Setting up and connecting

  • Remove all packaging from the appliance.
  • Clean the appliance (see chapter „Cleaning and care“).
  • Set up the appliance on a stable and level surface near to a plug socket.

Initial operation

Before using the appliance for the first time, clean the crepe plate (1), crepe spatula (3) and dough spreader (4) in hot water using washing-up liquid and dry carefully. Then add a few drops of oil to some kitchen towel and rub onto the plate. Position the crepe plate (1) correctly on the basic device (5). Insert the mains plug into the socket, the LED ring on the temperature dial (2) is lit up white. To pre-heat the crepe plate (1), set the temperature controller (2) at the highest setting for around 10 minutes. During the heating-up phase, the LED ring lights up red. As soon as the heating-up phase is complete, the LED ring is lit up white. During preparation, use the temperature controller (2) to reduce the temperature if necessary.

Note: Only add the batter to the crepe plate (1) once it has heated up.

Note : When the crepe plate (1) is heating up, the LED ring is lit up red. As soon as the required tem-perature is reached, the LED ring is lit up white.

Non-stick coating
Always use the crepe spatula (3) and batter spreader (4) provided. Never touch the scratch-sensitive coating with sharp or pointed objects. When using your new appliance for the first time there may be a little smoke or odour. This is for technical reasons and is perfectly normal.

Warning : You cannot switch the appliance off using the temperature controller (2)! Therefore pull out the mains plug after use.

Preparing crepes

Place the crepe plate (1) on the basic device (5). Heat the appliance up. Use a ladle to pour a little bat-ter onto the crepe plate (1) and use the batter spreader (4) to spread the batter, making even, circular movements. The overflow rim on the crepe plate (1) prevents the batter from flowing off the plate. Please note that batter can flow over the rim if you use too much. Turn the crepes using the crepe spatula (3). After preparing your crepe, transfer it to a plate and add your chosen toppings.

Basic recipe

Ingredients (approx. 10 servings) 250 g flour, 3 eggs, 500 ml milk, 1 pinch salt Mix all the ingredients in a bowl to make the batter. Allow the batter to rest for around 1 hour.

Note : The runnier the batter, the thinner the crepes will be.

  • Pull out the mains plug and allow the appliance to cool down.
  • Once the crepe plate (1) is warm to the touch, use a piece of kitchen towel to remove as much fat and other residue from it as possible.
  • Clean the crepe plate (1) in lukewarm water using washing-up liquid and a washing-up brush. Note: Do not use abrasives, metal scourers or oven cleaner.
  • The crepe spatula (3) and batter spreader (4) can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
  • Never immerse the basic device (5) in water or use water to clean it. Simply put a little washing-up liquid on a damp cloth, wipe the appliance and then dry it.
