Important safety information

Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the appliance safely and they understand the hazards involved.
This appliance should not be used by children. The appliance and the power cord should be stored and operated out of reach of children.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
In the following situations, always switch off the appliance and unplug it from the mains before proceeding:
- In the event of a malfunction
- If the blades jam
- During assembly and disassembly
- When replacing parts or accessories
- Before cleaning
- When not being monitored
- When approaching parts that move in use
If the appliance’s power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service, or a similarly qualiﬁed person, in order to avoid hazards.
Be careful of the sharp cutting blades during handling (danger of injury!) as well as when ﬁlling/emptying the container or when cleaning.
Always pull the mains plug out of the socket before removing blocked ingredients.
After using the appliance, clean all surfaces/parts which have come into contact with food. Please follow the instructions in the “Cleaning and care” section.
CAUTION: To avoid hazards caused by inadvertently resetting the temperature regulator, this appliance must not be powered through an external switching device such as a timer or be connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by a management system
**** Exercise caution when ﬁlling with hot liquids (max. 60°C!), which may be expelled from the appliance in the form of sudden ﬂash steam. Only ever add hot liquids when the appliance is switched off!
Always use the appliance in accordance with these instructions. Improper use may result in electric shocks or other hazards.
Never place the mixing container on the motor unit or remove it while the appliance is switched on.
This appliance is designed for use in households and similar environments, such as:
- Staff kitchen areas in shops, ofﬁces and other
- Farmhouses;
- By guests at hotels, motels, and other residential facilities;
- At bed-and-breakfast establishments.
The appliance is not intended for purely commercial use.

Before use

The blender may only be used for its intended purpose according to these operating instructions. You are therefore advised to read the manual carefully before use. It contains instructions for using, cleaning, and looking after the appliance. We accept no liability for any damage caused by a failure to follow the instructions. Keep this instruction manual in a safe place and pass it on to any subsequent user together with the appliance. Please also note the warranty information at the end. The appliance is not intended for commercial use, only for the preparation of household quantities of food. Always follow the safety instructions when using the appliance.

Safety precautions

The device should be connected only to earthed wall sockets that have been installed in accordance with the regulations. Keep the power cable and plug dry at all times.
Do not pull or clamp the connection cable over sharp edges. Do not leave it dangling. Protect it from heat and oil.
Do not place the appliance on hot surfaces, such as on hotplates or similar areas, and do not operate near naked ﬂames.
Never pull the mains plug out of the socket by the cable or with wet hands.
Do not switch on the appliance when the mixing container is empty.
Ensure that the blade unit is attached ﬁrmly and the lid is fastened correctly to the mixing container before using the appliance. Always operate the appliance with the lid closed. Always wait for the blades to come to a standstill before removing the lid and/or the mixing container.
Always check that the lid is also connected at the angled pouring corner.
The appliance must not be operated unsupervised.
Never place objects into the mixing container whilst the appliance is running.
Do not reach into the jug before unplugging the appliance from the mains.
Always turn the selector to the “off” position (0) before removing the mixing container.
Do not ﬁll the mixing container to beyond the MAX mark (hot foods should not be added beyond halfway to the MAX mark).
Do not exceed the processing times listed in the relevant table.
Never run the appliance for more than 4 minutes without interruption. Allow the appliance to cool down to room temperature before continuing.
Caution! There is a risk of scalding when processing hot food. In extreme cases, the mixing container could become damaged. Only food with a maximum temperature of 60°C may be processed. When processing hot food or ingredients that could foam, do not ﬁll the mixing container more than halfway to the top and hold the lid down ﬁrmly on the jug with your hand during operation.
Care should be taken when handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying the jug, and cleaning.
The appliance must be switched off and disconnected from the mains before accessories or additional parts that move during operation are replaced.
Stop using the device and/or pull the mains plug out of the socket immediately if:
- The device or power cord is damaged.
- You suspect that the appliance may be defective after being dropped or a similar incident. In such cases, return the appliance to be repaired.
The blender may not be connected to an external switch, e.g. a timer or a circuit that regularly switches on and off.
Pull out the mains plug:
- If malfunctions occur during the use
- Before cleaning and care
- After use
Do not immerse the drive unit in water.
No liability shall be accepted for any damage resulting from misuse, incorrect operation, or improper repairs. Warranty claims will be deemed invalid in such cases.
The appliance is not intended for commercial use.

Using the appliance
The device is suitable for mixing and chopping foods such as fruit, vegetables and nuts as well as for preparing juices, smoothies, and shakes. The blender has 5-speed settings and a pulse function. Unplug from the mains after use.
Using the appliance for the ﬁrst time
Clean the glass jug with the blade unit, lid, and closing cap before using the appliance for the ﬁrst time as described in the chapter “Cleaning and Care”. Take care not to injure yourself on the sharp blade. Turn the selector switch to the OFF position and place the glass jug on the drive unit as shown in the diagram. The handle must be facing to the right. Add your ingredients.
Note the maximum ﬁlling level on the mixing container. Filling past this amount may lead to overﬂowing, depending on the consistency of the ingredients. Note: Only food with a maximum temperature of 60°C may be processed. Close the mixing container using the lid and closing cap.
Caution: The blender will only switch on if the mixing container and lid have been ﬁtted correctly. A safety shutdown prevents operation without the jug and lid.
To this end, place the spout of the lid sideways against the pouring spout on the mixing container and gently press the lid onto the mixing container (1). Then press the locking mechanism on the lid downwards until it clicks into place in the handle (2).
Additional ingredients may be added by removing the closing cap, even while the motor is running. The closing cap (3) can be removed by turning it counter-clockwise and can then be used as a measure (50 ml).
Turn the speed controller in a clockwise direction until the marker reaches the ON position. Turn the knob further to the right to set the desired speed. Five different speeds can be set. To switch off, turn the knob in a counter- clockwise direction until the marker reaches OFF. Turning the speed controller further to the left from the OFF position selects the pulse function. In this position, the motor does not run constantly but switches off the moment you let go of the knob. Once you have ﬁnished mixing, turn the speed controller to the OFF position. Warning: risk of injury!! Always wait for the blades to come to a complete standstill before removing the lid. Do not reach into the appliance before the mains plug has been unplugged. Completely empty the glass jug after use. Do not leave any liquid in the jug.

Switch the device off as soon as the amount is processed. Never operate the appliance empty. Allow the device to cool down following the maximum operating time so that the motor is not overloaded.
Always turn the selector switch to the OFF position before removing the glass jug.
Crushing ice cubes
Fill with a maximum of 10 ice cubes and close the glass jug with the lid and closing cap. Turn the selector switch for a few seconds to the pulse stage P and then back to the OFF position. As soon as the ice cubes fall back to the bottom of the glass jug, you can switch to the pulse stage P again for a few seconds. Repeat the process until the crushed ice has the desired consistency.

Cleaning and care

Caution: Before cleaning the drive unit, you must pull out the mains plug! The drive unit should never be placed in water, only wiped down with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive cleaning agents.
Risk of injury: Be sure to avoid injury on the sharp blades when cleaning the glass jug. Fill the jug with warm water immediately after use and allow the motor to run for a few seconds. Then remove the glass jug and clean it carefully with a washing-up brush.
The mixing container can be dismantled and the blade unit removed, especially for thorough cleaning. To do so, place the jug on a table with the opening facing downwards and rotate the locking base in a clockwise direction. For easy detaching of the blade unit, you can use the lid of the glass jug. Place it on the lower side of the blade unit and turn it clockwise until the blade unit is loose. (You can use the same method to attach the blade unit again after cleaning.) You can now remove the blade unit and sealing ring.

To assemble, the sealing ring is ﬁrst attached to the blade unit. When doing so, make sure the sealing ring is properly seated on the blade unit. Place the locking base on the mixing container and turn it counter-clockwise as far as it will go.
Note: In order to ensure the tightness of the glass jug, the threaded ring must be screwed on tightly. Observe the corresponding marking.
For quick and easy cleaning, all the loose parts of the mixing container can be washed in the dishwasher.

This product is supplied with a 13 A plug conforming to BS 1363 ﬁtted to the mains lead. If the plug is unsuitable for your socket outlets or needs to be replaced, please note the following. If the plug is a non-rewireable one, cut it from the mains lead and immediately dispose of it. Never insert it into a socket outlet as there is a very great risk of an electric shock.
The replacement of the plug at the mains lead has to be done according to the following instructions:

As the colors of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colored markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:

  * the wire which is colored blue must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or colored black,
  * the wire which is colored brown must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or colored red.

Do not connect any wire to the terminal which is marked with the letter E or by the earth symbol , or colored green or green and yellow.

If a 13 A (BS 1363) plug is used it must be ﬁtted with a 13 A fuse conforming to BS 1362 and be ASTA-approved. If any other type of plug is used, the appliance must be protected by a 10 A fuse either in the plug or adapter or at the distribution board.
If in doubt – consult a qualiﬁed electrician.
Never use the plug without closing the fuse cover.

The appliance complies with European directives 2014/35/EU, 2014/30/EU, and 2009/125/EU.
At the end of its life, this product may not be disposed of in normal household waste, but must instead be taken to a collection point for recycling electrical and electronic appliances.
The materials are recyclable in accordance with their labeling. Reuse, recycling, and other ways of reutilizing old appliances make an important contribution to protecting our environment.
Please ask your local authorities for information about the appropriate disposal point.
End users are personally responsible for deleting any personal data that may be stored on appliances they are disposing of.
