vtech 211094 Busy Musical Bee
INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the VTech® Busy Musical Bee. This cute and cuddly bee features soft wings with pockets, so you can flap the bee’s wings! The bee also features a light-up heart button which triggers responses. Press the light-up heart button to hear soothing music, loving phrases, and fun sounds. Bee is made from soft fabrics, made from 6 recycled plastic bottles! You can even remove the electronic module inside the bee, so you can hand wash the bee to keep it fresh and clean.

WARNING
All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable
tags, cable ties, cords, and packaging screws are not part of this toy and
should be discarded for your child’s safety.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Please remove the electronic module before washing.
REMOVABLE ELECTRONIC MODULE
- To remove the electronic module, open the Velcro-like closure on the back of the bee. Then, remove the electronic module.
- To insert the electronic module, line up the light-up heart button with the bee’s heart. Then, secure the Velcro-like closure.
GETTING STARTED
Battery Removal and Installation
- Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
- Locate the battery cover on the back of the unit. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw.
- If used batteries are present, remove these batteries from the unit by pulling up on one end of each battery.
- Install 2 new AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended).
- Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.
WARNING:
Adult assembly is required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of
reach of children.
IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION
- Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
- Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
- Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
- Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
- Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
- Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES:
- Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging.
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
- Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
Disposal of batteries and product
- The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on products and batteries, or on their respective packaging, indicates they must not be disposed of in domestic waste as they contain substances that can be damaging to the environment and human health. The chemical symbols Hg, Cd, or Pb, where marked, indicate that the battery contains more than the specified value of mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), or lead (Pb) set out in the Batteries and Accumulators Regulation.
- The solid bar indicates that the product was placed on the market after 13th August 2005. Help protect the environment by disposing of your product or batteries responsibly.

PRODUCT FEATURES

Off/Low/High Volume Switch
To turn the unit On, slide the Off/Low/High Volume Switch located on the electronic module inside the back of the bee to the Low Volume or High Volume position. You will hear a sound, a phrase and a song about the bee. To turn the unit Off, slide the Off/Low/High Volume Switch to the Off position. -
Automatic Shut-Off
To preserve battery life, the Busy Musical Bee will automatically power down after approximately 25 seconds without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing the Light Up Heart Button.
ACTIVITIES
Light Up Heart Button
Press the Light Up Heart Button to hear a variety of fun melodies and bee
sounds. Press and hold the Light Up Heart Button to hear approximately 3
minutes of music play with bee sounds. The light will flash with the voice and
fade in and out with the music and sounds.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
- Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
- Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
- Remove the battery if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
- Do not drop the unit on a hard surface and do not expose the unit to excess moisture.
- The bee is surface washable. Please remove the electronic module and follow the care instructions on the plush tag before cleaning.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:
- Turn the unit Off.
- Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
- Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
- Turn the unit back On. The unit should now be ready to use again.
- If the unit still does not work, install a brand new set of batteries.
