Track-drive heavy transporter designed for works in difficult conditions in poorly accessibly terrain. Including a fully automatic tipping body up to 300 kg.

A warranty period of 12 months applies to commercial use and 24 months apply to private use and commences on the day of purchase of the device.
Warranty applies exclusively to failures due to defective material or workmanship. An original sale slip with indication of date of sale must be presented in case of claiming for the warranty rights.
Warranty does not cover unprofessional use such as device overload, violent use, damage caused by third party or foreign materials, failure to comply with operations and assembly manual, and normal wear and tear.

General safety instructions

The Operating Instructions must be carefully read before using the appliance for the first time. If there are any doubts regarding the appliance connection and operation, please contact the manufacturer (service department).

PLEASE FOLLOW CAREFULLY THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO PROVIDE A HIGH SAFETY LEVEL:

  • Read carefully the Operating Instructions. Familiarise with the setting and appropriate use of the appliance. In particular, learn to switch the engine off quickly and in a safe manner!

  • Staying in the dangerous area (pic. 5) of the appliance is prohibited.

  • Never let children or other persons not familiarised with the Operating Instructions use the appliance.

  • Local regulations may specify minimum age of the user.

  • Do not let other persons get to the appliance.
    Keep visitors and bystanders, especially children and ill or weak persons, in a safe distance from the place of your work.

  • Look out for any damaged parts. Inspect the appliance before using it. Are any parts damaged? In case of slight damage, seriously consider whether the appliance will work safely and perfectly.

  • Approved parts to be used only. Identical spare parts to be used only for servicing and repairs. For that purpose, contact an authorised service centre.

  • Caution! Using any other accessory equipment and extensions not explicitly recommended in these Operating Instructions may put persons and items at risk.

**Important safety instructions before putting the appliance into

operation for the first time**

  • When inspecting the vehicle with a tilted body, the body must always be secured by a support to prevent accidental body returning to the original position.

  • Before working with the vehicle, make sure safety of other persons near the vehicle and in the place of work is provided.

  • The maximum load capacity of the crawler transporter is 300 kg. Overloading may lead to accidents or damage to the appliance.

  • Secure the load properly against slipping at all times. The load must also be balanced to prevent the vehicle from tipping over.

  • Solid shoes and long trousers should always be worn when using the appliance. Do not work barefooted or in light sandals.

  • Work in broad daylight or under adequate artificial lighting.

  • Make always sure your posture is stable, in particular, in steep land.

  • Guide the appliance step by step.

  • Be especially careful when changing the running direction on slopes.

  • Do not change the controlled engine setting and do not race the engine. Start the engine carefully, following the manufacturer’s instructions.

  • Provide a sufficient distance of your legs from the appliance.

  • Never put your hands or legs above or under the rotating parts.

  • If the appliance does not work properly, it must be immediately stopped and switched off. Have the failure removed at once.

  • If there is a risk of slipping on slopes, the appliance must be held by an accompanying person using a rod or a cable. The accompanying person above the vehicle must be in a sufficient distance from the working tools! Work across slopes at all times if possible!

  • Switch the engine off:

    • when leaving the appliance,
    • before refuelling.
  • Caution: Petrol is highly flammable: Store the petrol in appropriate containers only. Refuel outdoors only and do not smoke when refuelling. Refuel before starting the engine.

  • Do not open the fuel filler cap or refuel when the engine is running or if heated up to the operating temperature.

  • Do not try to start the engine if petrol overflows. Wipe the area polluted by petrol instead. Any attempt at starting combined with open fire or possible production of sparks is prohibited until patrol vapours have disappeared. For safety reasons, the petrol tank and other tank caps must be replaced if damaged.

  • Attention
    Work cautiously and use common sense. Do not use the appliance when you are tired. The appliance must not be used when you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs or pharmaceuticals that may evoke tiredness.

  • Check whether the parts are not defective or leaking
    If protective equipment or other parts of the appliance have been damaged, it is necessary to check and make sure the operation will be safe before using the appliance the next time. All damaged parts must be repaired or replaced in a service shop or replaced according to instructions mentioned in the Operating Instructions.

  • Appropriate using of the appliance
    When operating the appliance, please follow all the instructions of this manual. Do not let children or persons not familiarised with the appliance function use the appliance.

  • Do not use the appliance if defective
    If the appliance makes abnormal sound or vibrates intensively or seems to be defective in any other manner when being operated, it must be immediately stopped; have the cause identified in the nearest customer service.

  • Original spare parts to be used only
    Your claims arising from the warranty will not apply if spare parts of other manufacturers are used. Using other spare parts may lead to appliance malfunction. Original spare parts may be obtained from our contractual dealers.

  • Not to be used in closed rooms. Do not use the crawler transporter in closed rooms as it may produce dangerous waste products.

  • Risk of burn! The exhaust temperature may reach up to 80°C.

  • Transport of persons! Do not use the appliance to transport any persons.

  • Do not make any change to the appliance
    Do not make any change to the appliance. Contact the customer service for any repairs. Any unauthorised change may have a negative impact on the appliance performance; however, it may also cause severe injuries if made by a person not possessing adequate technical knowledge.

  • The safety and protective equipment subject to servicing or repair must immediately be refitted in a proper manner.

  • Knowing the safety regulations applicable in the place where the appliance is used and any other generally recognised safety regulations is absolutely necessary.

  • Before using the appliance, it is necessary to check the safety equipment. Make sure the parts that are evidently damaged just to some extent work properly.

  • Unless otherwise provided in these Operating Instructions, the damaged parts and safety equipment must be repaired or replaced in an authorised service centre.

  • Have any damaged switches replaced in an authorised service centre.

  • This appliance corresponds to all applicable safety regulations. Any repairs may only be executed by qualified electricians in authorised service centres using original spare parts. Failing to do so may lead to injuries.

Emergency procedures

Administer first aid according to injury and call for qualified medical assistance. Protect injured person against other injuries and keep him/her in rest. For reasons of potential injury, a first aid box according to DIN 13164 must be available on workplace. Replenish immediately material used from the first aid box. If you require medical assistance, give the following information:

  1. Place of accident
  2. Type of accident
  3. Number of injured persons
  4. Type of injury

Use as designated

Transport of heavy loose and piece materials of any sort in landscaping, around the house and in the garden and in crafts and industry. Including 6.5 PS Briggs & Stratton engine.

Disposal

Disposal instructions are illustrated in the form of pictograms on the device or packaging. Description of the pictograms is given in “Identification” chapter.

Disposal of transport packaging
Packaging protects the device against damage during transport. Packaging materials are usually selected according to their effect on environment and disposal methods and can therefore be recycled. Returning of the packaging back to circulation saves resources and costs for packaging disposal. Parts of the packaging (e.g. foil, styropor) may be dangerous for children. Risk of suffocation! Keep these parts of the packaging out of reach of children and dispose as soon as possible.

Operator requirements

The operators must thoroughly read operation manual before use.

Qualification

Except for thorough training by an expert for use of the device, no special qualification is required.

Minimum age

The device may be operated by persons over 16 years of age. An exception is use by younger person if the use takes place under supervision of an adult trainer in the course of education.

Training

Use of the device requires corresponding guidance by an expert or operation manual only. No special training is required.

Transport and storing

  • The appliance must be cleaned thoroughly and kept out of reach of unauthorised persons before being stored for a long time.
  • Before storing the appliance, check whether all nuts, bolts and pins are tightened.
  • Let the engine cool down every time the appliance is to be stored for a long time.
  • Never store the crawler transporter with fuel inside as this could cause fire.
  • The appliance must always be stored on a level and stable surface.

Operation

After reading and understanding the general safety instructions and safety instructions before putting the appliance into operation for the first time, the crawler transporter may be put into operation. In doing so, please proceed as follows:

Starting:

  • Check the petrol and engine oil before starting the appliance.
  • Turn the key to the right to the ON position (pic. 1).
  • Use the choke and open the fuel tap.
  • Use the reversing starter to start the engine. Slowly close the choke (see the attached B&S manual).

Forward speed:

  • Press the direction lever to the F position (pic. 3).
  • Turn the gas lever in a counter clockwise direction, the crawler transporter is now moving forward and will stop after the handle is released.

Reverse speed:

  • Press the direction lever to the R position (pic. 3).
  • Turn the gas lever in a counter clockwise direction, the crawler transporter is now reversing and will stop after the handle is released.

Caution! Watch out for obstructions on the ground.

Control system:
The appliance is controlled by one of the two direction levers. When operating the left lever, the left caterpillar stops and the appliance turns left. The contrary is the case for the right lever.

  • To stop the appliance on slopes, use both direction levers and press down the safety pin (pic 2/2) on each side. The safety lever (pic. 2/3) will snap in.
  • To release the parking brake, use the direction lever and press the safety lever at the same time. The safety pin will get released.

Body tipping:

Caution! Put the direction lever to the “N” position, otherwise the appliance will not start moving!

  • Put the left lever to the Tip symbol and give full throttle using the gas lever on the right handle.
  • Put the left lever to the Transport symbol and give full throttle.

Switching the appliance off:

  • After finishing your work, park the crawler transporter on a level and stable surface and apply the handbrake.
  • Turn the key to the OFF position (pic. 1).
  • Pull the key out.
  • Close the fuel tap.

Inspections and servicing

Lubricate all moving parts, bolts and nuts with grease at regular intervals.

Caterpillar (pic. 4):

  • Check and set regularly the caterpillar tension. The rubber caterpillar may only give way to 1 cm after being pressed.
  • If the caterpillar is too loose, it may bend the front axis and permanently damage the appliance.
  • To tighten the caterpillar, use the tension bolt (pic. 4/A).

Transmission plate (pic. 6) removing:

  • The body must be tipped.

  • Proceed as shown in pic. 6 and remove all bolts, first from the body and then the plate.

  • Chain lubrication (pic. 7):
    At regular intervals, lubricate the transmission chain with chain oil or liquid fat for high temperatures.

  • Transmission oil change (pic. 8+10):
    Remove the upper bolt and the bottom bolt. Do not forget to use a catch container.

  • Spindle (pic. 9):
    Remove carefully the rubber protection clip, pull it up and lubricate the shaft with liquid fat for high temperatures.

  • Drive/spindle carrier (pic. 11):
    To be lubricated at regular intervals with liquid fat for high temperatures using a fat press.
    Engine: See the attached B&S manual.
    Direction lever: There is a small brake fluid tank (pic. 2/1) on each direction lever. The level must be at least 3/4th of the peep hole.

  • DOT3 or DOT4 brake fluid to be used only.

Servicing plan

Before putting the appliance into operation:

  • Check the engine oil level.
  • Clean or replace the air filter.
  • Check the brake fluid level.

Every 20 hours of operation:

  • Lubricate the chains, spindles and carriers
  • Check the caterpillar tension and tighten it if necessary. Check the parking brake function.

Every 300 hours of operation or once a year:

  • Change the transmission oil
  • Check the brake fluid
  • Clean completely the chains and lubricate them.
