INSTRUCTIONS
Source Furniture collections are easy to care for and by following these care and maintenance tips you will ensure longevity of our products:
Seaside Usage
Source Furniture recommends regular cleaning to avoid build-up of oxidation
and waxing the frames quarterly to help with their longevity. Some car waxes
can be used for this purpose. Failure to clean and maintain your furniture may
result in blistering and may void any warranty. A log of your cleaning, done
at regular intervals, must be kept in order to maintain your warranty
coverage.
Aluminum Frame Finishes
You should clean your powder coated aluminum furniture at least once every
season. To maintain the frame finish, Source Furniture recommends using a mild
soap and warm water solution. Use¼ cup of soap to one gallon of water using a
soft rag or sponge to clean frames. After applying the soap and water simply
rinse off with clean water. For tougher cleaning, add a natural acid like
lemon juice or white vinegar to the warm water and soap solution. Apply the
mixture with a clean sponge and scrub aluminum furniture thoroughly. This
should eliminate any discoloration and get rid of dirt and debris build-up
from being outside. Do not use bleach on any frames, as this will void all
warranties. Never use ammonia, ammonia-based products, TSP or baking soda to
clean powder coated aluminum furniture. To protect your Aluminum Furniture, it
is recommended to move it indoors or using furniture covers.
Stainless Steel Frame Furniture
Stainless steel it will stain over time. To resist corrosion, it is vital that
the surface to be kept clean. Environmental elements can take a toll on
stainless steel, speeding up corrosion process. Regular cleaning can help slow
down the corrosion process. Commercial stainless steel cleaners can be used
following the product’s instructions to prevent any discoloration. Avoid any
cleaners with strong acid solutions.
Galvanized Steel Frame Furniture
Galvanized steel is easy to keep clean as it is virtually maintenance free. A
mild soap and water solution is recommended to keep the surface clean. Rinse
and dry thoroughly.
Duraweave / Wicker
Woven furnishings are made of durable and weather-resistant extruded
polyethylene wicker. Light stains and soils may be removed with a solution of
mild detergent and water, rinsed with clear water and dried thoroughly. Mildew
and heavy stains can be removed with a quality commercial outdoor furniture
cleaner and protectant. Woven furnishings may not be suitable for intensely
hot climates. If placed outdoors, the furniture will last longer by storing in
a cool place with furniture covers.
Table Tops
Source Furniture table tops are designed for normal indoor and outdoor use in
commercial settings. If tabletop is stained with products such as wine, soda,
coffee, or other colorants of organic origin, clean spills immediately with a
mild detergent then rinse with water. In extreme cold climates, it is
recommended that table tops be stored in a dry indoor area or be covered with
suitable furniture covers. Be sure to allow space between the tabletop and the
cover so that moisture does not collect on the table; this will promote
airflow and allow moisture to escape.
Durawood
Durawood is virtually maintenance free as with most treated lumber or wood
fiber composite products. It has extraordinary resistance to fading, moisture,
insects, splintering, and other elements resulting from environmental stress.
To maintain Durawood material, wipe the surface with a damp cloth or spray
with a garden hose. For stubborn dirt, the surface may be washed with a mild
solution of detergent or dishwashing soap in water, then rinsed thoroughly and
allowed to dry completely. To repair minor scratches on the surface of the
material, use a 600-grit sandpaper and sand in the direction of the grain.
Duraboard
This superior material made HOPE High Density Polyethylene and can be used
indoors or outdoors as it will not fade in the sunlight. To care and maintain
for Duraboard products use a soft dampened rag with cold water or use a mild
detergent solution, rinse with water, and dry. Do not use any abrasive
cleaning materials containing acids, methyl alcohol, hydrocarbons or solvents.
Duraboard is lead and heavy metal free, which allows optimized performance
while being environmentally friendly. No glue will stick to this material and
no paint will adhere to the surface making it graffiti proof.
Duratop
Duratop table tops are easy to maintain as they are constructed as one
seamless piece. To clean, wipe the surface with a damp cloth. To clean spills
use a mild detergent solution, rinse with water, and dry. Regular household
cleaners are safe to use on Duratop table tops.
Molded Resin(Polycarbonate and Polypropylene)
To care and maintain our Molded Resin products use a soft dampened rag with
cold water. Do not use any abrasive cleaning materials containing acids,
methyl alcohol, hydrocarbons or solvents.
Quartz
Quartz Table Tops should be use only indoors as color may fade when exposed to
direct sunlight. In general, they are pretty low maintenance. Generally, warm,
soapy water takes care of cleaning the surface. Avoid abrasive cleansers and
harsh chemicals. Spills should be cleaned as soon as possible to avoid
staining. If gum or paint need to be removed, use a plastic scraper to gently
scrape away it away.
Porcelain
To maintain and clean Porcelain table tops, wipe the surface with a damp
cloth. To clean spills use a mild detergent solution, rinse with water, and
dry as soon as possible.
Other Maintenance
Source Furniture recommends a thorough check of all moving parts such as
hinges, nuts and bolts periodically. With failing to maintain these parts,
disassembly or breakage may occur and void the warranty.
Cushions
To prevent damage, water on cushions can be drained by standing the cushion
upright to let dry.
Sling fabrics
To clean cushions made with Serge Ferrari® or Phifertex® sling fabric use a
mild soap mixed with two tablespoons of bleach and a gallon of water. Use a
soft brush to apply the cleaning solution and rinse off thoroughly with clean
water. You can also use a brush or vacuum.
Upholstery and Awning / Marine (Shade) Fabric
Cushions made with Sunbrella® fabrics can be washed by briskly sponging with a
solution of mild soap. For stains, a fabric spot remover can be used. Please
follow all directions for the spot remover products. One of the best ways to
keep Sunbrella® brand fabrics looking good and to delay deep or vigorous
cleanings is to properly maintain the fabrics. This can be accomplished by
simply brushing off dirt before it becomes embedded in the fabrics, wiping up
spills as soon as they occur or spot cleaning soon after stains occur.
