VEIKK VK1560Pro Pen Display

PRECAUTIONS

1. Please read this manual carefully before using it, and keep it well for future reference.
2. Before cleaning the display please unplug the USB cable and wipe with a soft damp cloth, don’t use any kind of detergents.
3. Please don’t place the display near water sources such as bathtubs, washbasin, sinks, washing machines, damp basements, swimming pools, etc.
4. Do not place this display on an unstable surface.
5. Do not step or place heavy objects on this display as this could damage it.
6. Do not place the display at a height for children to reach easily in order to avoid danger. Make sure that a child does not put the pen or pen tip in his/her mouth.
7. Do not place the display and digital pen close to the magnetic field.
8. To protect your display, please switch off the power when it is not in use. During blackouts or not using for a long time, please unplug the display from the socket.
9. Don’t overload the socket or lengthen the power wire, which may lead to electric shocks.
10. If the display has a breakdown, do not open the main case and try to repair it by yourself. Please ask for service for proper repair and maintenance.
11. When the following situations occur, please unplug the power adapter and you may need a service for full repair and maintenance: A. The power wire or plug is damaged or worn out; B. There is liquid splashed inside of the display; C. The display has fallen or the LCD is broken; D. When obvious abnormalities occur to the display.
12. While getting the components replaced, you are supposed to guarantee that the repairman is using the substitute components specified by the manufacturer. Unauthorized component replacement might cause fire, electric shocks, or other dangers.

Overview
Welcome to the VEIKK! This user manual will help you set up the VK1560Pro and install the driver. Whether you are a beginner or a professional, this one can satisfy your requirement. For the driver, please download from http://www.veikk.com/download

System Requirement

• Windows 7/8/10(32/64 bits)
• Mac OS 10.10 or later.

Hardware Specification

Display Connection

1. Connect the male end of the USB cable to the computer.
2. Connect the female port of the USB cable to the USB cable.
3. Connect the red end of the USB cable to the AC Adapter.
4. Connect the micro-USB end of the USB cable to VK1560Pro.
5. Connect mini-HDMI end of HDMI cable to VK1560Pro.
6. Connect HDMI of HDMI cable to the computer.
7. Plug the AC adapter into a power outlet.
8. If connected properly, after pressing the power button the VK1560Pro logo will appear and you will soon see your computer monitor display.

• Note 1: We recommend you insert the VK1560Pro USB cable to the host USB port of your computer. You may use a USB hub with an attached external power supply to adequately power your VK1560 Pro if needed.
• Note 2: Make sure your computer supports multiple monitors. Check if your computer has extra HDMI ports. If your computer has an independent video card, please use the HDMI ports there.
• Note 3: If there is not any input signal, it means the tablet doesn’t receive HDMI video input. Please reconnect the HDMI cable, change another HDMI cable or change another computer to have a try.

AC Adapter Connection

1. Find AC Adapter Accessories.
2. Plug in red power USB end into the adapter.
3. Plug black male USB end into the computer.
4. Plug the male USB end of the VEIKK display cable into the female end of the Y cable.

Note: Please remove the power adapter first when removing your VK1560 Pro from your computer. Note: Use only power adapters and cables approved by VEIKK for use

Driver Installation

1. Before installing the driver, please uninstall all tablet drivers from your computer, and keep all antivirus and drawing programs disabled.
2. Connect the tablet to your computer before the installation
3. Please download the updated driver from www.veikk.com
4. Click “VK Tablet Driver.exe” and follow the prompts to install. For the Mac system, please open it with the default installer.
5. Once the driver is completely installed, you will see an icon appearing on the system tray (lower right corner) and the desktop(Windows), and System Preference (Mac).

Monitor Mapping
How to Change to Extended Display Extended Display means you work with a larger Windows desktop area spanning your computer monitor and your VK1560 Pro LCD Display. Applications can be moved from one display to the other and will allow you to work in different screen resolutions.

1. Right-click your desktop and select Screen Resolution.
2. In the Multiple Displays dropdown, change to [Extend these Displays]
3. If your computer is equipped with more than one monitor, your VK1560Pro pen display will map to the monitors based on how they are configured in the DISPLAY PROPERTIES control panel.
4. After you have correctly configured your computer for multiple monitors, you can then adjust your VK1560Pro pen display mapping by opening the driver icon and changing the appropriate options. This enables you to toggle the current VK1560Pro mapping and screen cursor between the system desktop or primary display and your other monitors.

Note: Under the Duplicate display mode of the Multiple Display function, the display resolution of your monitor must be set to the same resolution as yourVK1560Pro. Otherwise, your pen cursor will be misplaced on the screen. For VK1560Pro, please make sure the other monitor resolution is set to 1920×1080.

Pen

• Pen Function Settings
  You may customize the functions of your tablet pen’s barrel buttons here. Use the “Function Key” option to program custom keystrokes.

• Current Pen Pressure
  Current Pen Pressure shows the current pressure level being exerted on your tablet and can be used to test pen pressure

• Click Sensitivity
  You can adjust pen pressure to “Output” or “Press” sensitivity on here.

1. Mapping
   Define the tablet area that will be mapped to the screen area.

2. Monitor Setting
   Here you can adjust the monitor color temperature and parameter.

3. Rotate
   It can freely rotate the pen display and satisfy left-hand users.

4. Screen Mapping
   If working in Extended Display, choose which monitor you want your VK1560Pro pen display to track with. Most likely, you will want it to track with the VK1560Pro display. To learn which monitor is Monitor 1 and which is Monitor 2, Please go to Start > Settings > Display and click Identify.

5. Calibration
   Click Start Calibration to activate the calibration screen. Press crosses appearing on the screen one by one with the P03 pen to calibrate the screen.

6. Enable Windows Ink Function
   Microsoft Windows provides extensive support for pen input. Pen features are supported in such as Microsoft Office、Adobe Photoshop CC、AI and so on.

**Functions

Customize the shortcut keys and Dial from Function Tab.

1. Hotkeys
   Redefine Hotkey: Click on the title of the hotkey. A drop-down menu will appear with a list of tool options. Choose the one you want to use. Custom Define: At the bottom of the dropdown menu, choose Custom. This will allow you to input a custom keyboard shortcut.

Note:

1. The VK1560Pro shortcut keys are designed to work with US English.
2. Keys may not function correctly with the other keyboard languages. By default, the VK1560Pro shortcut keys are mapped to standard Photoshop keyboard shortcuts. The function of the keys can be customized according to the software you use.
3. Most creative software will not accept keystroke inputs when the P03 pen is still in use. To avoid invalid keystroke actions, hold the pen away from the screen before pressing your shortcut keys.

Dial

• You can define the functions of the Dial. Tap on the Dial button to select the function you would like to use.
• To switch between functions, press the middle button of the Dial. You will see the function name briefly at the bottom of the screen when switched.

About Us

Check for updates: If you want to install the newest driver, click ”Check for updating ”, if there is no response, that means the driver you installed is the newest; if you find the newest driver in the list, you just need to update.
