Athena-GTX, Inc. addendum
FCC ID: 2AVRK-CC3200WFD is configured in a specific singular modular use configuration, this addendum is created to support changes for incorporation and use in the WVSM Pro Series devices. Information in this addendum is designed to replace FCC publication 996369 related information on CC3200MOD SimpleLink™ Microcontroller and Wi-Fi® Network Processor Module – LaunchPad Hardware User’s Guide Rev August 2018, except where specifically state.

FCC publication 996369 related information
In publication 996369 section D03, the FCC requires information concerning a module to be presented by OEM manufacturers. This section assists in answering or fulfilling these requirements.

General
FCC ID: 2AVRK-CC3200WFD is for incorporation into WVSM Pro Series host devices.
List of applicable FCC rules
This module conforms to FCC Part 15.247.
Summarize the specific operational use conditions
For the CC2300 Wi-Fi RF Module, see FCC approved antenna (2.4 GHz) identified in section 2.7 of this  addendum.
Once integrated with the Host Device, the Wi-Fi module will communicate (TX/RX) using 2.4 GHz at a nominal power setting (16 dBM), duty cycle (<6.13%). Modules will be in portable use, <20 cm proximity to user’s body.

Users are not permitted to modify antenna or alter pre-defined Host or Module configuration settings, outside of connecting and disconnecting other devices.

Limited module procedures
Not applicable.
Trace antenna designs
Not applicable.
RF exposure considerations
See conditions in Section 2.3 above that allow for use <20cm proximity to the user’s body.
Antennas
For CC3200, a whip, right angle, RP-SMA connector, 2.35GHz ~ 2.5GHz, 0.2dBi gain RF antenna is used with this module (Example: Linx Technologies Inc part number ANT-2.4-CW-RCS).
Label and compliance information
A physical label stating: “Contains   FCC ID: 2AVRK- CC3200WFD”, shall be used on the outside of the enclosure of the host product.

Note, the label ‘phrase’ will be a single line on the host product.

Information on test modes and additional testing requirements
Devices shall be reviewed under configured max operational settings (standard use) for SAR, Spurious Radiated Emissions. Unintentional Radiators is also required for review.
When testing for all, except for Unintentional Radiators, both Wi-Fi modules must be tested after a connection with a partnering WLAN device is established and information is transmitting.
Antenna power, duty cycle, and transmission rate cannot be altered from approved settings, see RF Exposure report for technical information.
Additional testing, Part 15 Subpart B disclaimer
Not applicable, see this section in original user manuals referenced at the beginning of this addendum.Company Logo
