Product Usage Instructions

Before You Begin
Ensure the engine is cooled down before starting any work on the exhaust manifold clamp repair.

1. Step 1: Verify and Prepare
   Check that the broken manifold bolt is not protruding past the exhaust manifold surface. Grind it flush if needed.

2. Step 2: Apply Thread Locking Compound
   Apply high temperature thread locking compound to the threads onthe two mounting bolts provided in the kit.

3. Step 3: Attach Clamp
   Attach the clamp to the cylinder head using the unused factory holes as indicated in the instructions.

4. Step 4: Tighten Clamp
   Tighten the clamp mounting bolts through the unthreaded holes onthe clamp to a torque of 30-35 lbs-ft (40-47 N-m).

5. Step 5: Install Clamping Bolt
   Apply high temperature thread locking compound to the clamping bolt, install it through the threaded hole in the clamp. Tighten until the exhaust seals up.

6. Step 6: Check for Leaks
   After installation, check for any exhaust leaks. If leaks are present, continue tightening until they disappear without exceeding 40 lbs-ft (54 N-m).
