If you have any questions about the product or experience any problems, please contact us by email: contact@cology.be The COLLIE digital kitchen scale is perfect for everyone who loves cooking.You can weigh all ingredients very easily and precisely. The kitchen scale can indicate g, kg, lb:oz, oz and ml. Furthermore, the kitchen scale is equipped with an LCD screen that is easy to read and a tare function. The scale turns off automatically after 2 minutes without use to conserve battery power.

Warnings and safety instructions

• Please ensure that the packaging is kept out of reach of children! Risk of suffocation!
• Make sure to keep this user manual. Read the manual carefully before using your digital kitchen scale.

General

• Be aware of the risks and consequences resulting from misuse of the digital kitchen scale. Misuse of the digital kitchen scale can result in personal injury, or destruction of the instrument/appliance /device and of the installations.
• Use the digital kitchen scale only for purposes described in this user manual.
• If the digital kitchen scale malfunctions, is dropped or (appears to be) damaged in any manner, do NOT use the digital kitchen scale and contact Customer Service. The
• digital kitchen scale is designed and intended for private, non-commercial use only.
• The components of the scale are made of plastic and vulnerable to prolonged pressure. Do NOT put any weight on the scale when not in use.
• Do NOT drop the device from height and make sure the device cannot fall of your worktop.
• Never use the digital kitchen scale outdoors.
• Place the device on a flat and stable surface.
• Do not use hard objects to scrape off dirt residues.

Persons and use

• Keep the digital kitchen scale away from children and persons with physical sensory or mental disabilities when using and storing, unless they are supervised or have been given instruction concerning the use by a person responsible for their safety.
• The batteries pose a choking hazard. Keep them away from children and pets.

Electronics

• Do NOT reconstruct, repair or disassemble the digital kitchen scale. This can damage the device. For safety reasons, these parts may only be replaced by authorized service personnel. In order to prevent hazards, always send the digital kitchen scale to the service center for repairs.

• Do NOT use the digital kitchen scale in or near a bath, shower, swimming pool, or over basin filled with water.

• Make sure to prevent any contact with water. Do NOT submerge the digital kitchen scale in water. If water does get inside the casing, turn the digital kitchen scale off immediately and contact our customer service.

• Do NOT operate the device with damp or wet hands.
  Keep the digital kitchen scale away from moisture, heat and in or close to areas where the surrounding temperature is relatively hot (e.g. stoves or other sources of heat).
  Remove the batteries if you are not going to use the scale for a long time.

• Do NOT use the digital kitchen scale near devices that can cause electromagnetic interference (e.g. mobile phones under communication, micirowaves). This can cause the scale to weigh inaccurately.

• NEVER move the device whilst it is turned on. Always turn off the device before moving or cleaning it.

Receiving your shipment

When receiving your shipment, make sure that the contents are consistent with the packaging list. Notify your distributor of any missing items. If the equipment appears to be damaged, file a claim immediately with the carrier and notify your distributor at once, giving a detailed description of any damage. Save the damaged packaging container to substantiate your claim.

Operating instructions

The components of the scale are made of plastic and are vulnerable to prolonged pressure. Do NOT put any weight on the scale when not in use. Do NOT use the digital kitchen scale near devices that can cause electromagnetic interference (e.g. mobile phones under communication, microwaves). This can cause the scale to weigh inaccurately. The batteries pose a choking hazard. Keep them away from children and pets.

Note

• When the LCD displays “LO” and the device powers off, you will have to install new batteries.
• When the weight is more than 15kgn the LCD will display “Err”. Remove the weight from the scale to avoid damage.

Weighing

1. Open the battery cover and put the two AAA batteries in properly.
2. Put the scale on a flat and stable surface.
3. Press the “ON / OFF / TARE” button to turn on the device. Three seconds after putting weight on the scale the digits on the LCD screen will keep stable and show the correct weight. If you need a container to hold the items you want to weigh, first place the empty container on the scale. The scale will now show the weight of the container. Press the “ON / OFF / TARE” button once, the scale will now start the “TARE” function and the digits on the LCD screen will go back to 0 g. Now you can place the items you want to weigh in the container.
4. To reset the scale back to 0 g after taking off the container, press the “ON / OFF /TARE” button once.
5. If the LCD screen displays 0 g, you can press the “ON / OFF / TARE” button to turn off the device.

Changing the measurement unit

1. Turn on the device.
2. Press the “UNIT” button to change between “g / kg / lb:oz / oz / ml”.
3. After choosing the preferred measurement unit you can start weighing. The device will memorize the measurement unit you selected the last time.

Switch off
The scale switches off automatically after 2 minutes. You can also switch off the device manually by holding the “ON / OFF / TARE” button for a few seconds.

Maintenance and cleaning

Clean the digital kitchen scale with a clean and humid cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning products or solvents. Make sure the digital kitchen scale does not get wet.
Storage
Store the digital kitchen scale in a clean and dry place. Do not store the device in extremely high or extremely low temperatures.
Disposal – recycle
Contribute to a cleaner living environment! Do not dispose of the digital kitchen scale with household waste. For proper recycling, please contact your local authority or your household waste disposal service for further details at your nearest designated collection point.

Service and warranty

• We provide a 2-year warranty on our products. To obtain service during the warranty period, the product needs to be returned with proof of purchase.
• Product defects must be reported within 2 years from the date of purchase.
• This warranty does not cover damages caused by misuse or incorrect repair; parts subject to wear; defects that the customer was aware of at the time of purchase; damages or defects caused by customer neglect; or damages or defects caused by third parties.
