Product Usage Instructions

Pair and Connect a Bluetooth Headset:

  1. Set your Bluetooth headset to pairing mode following the headset’s user manual.
  2. Press PHONE/FLASH or /SPEAKER on the handset.
  3. Press and hold /HANDSET LOCATOR on the telephone base for 4 seconds to enter pairing mode.
  4. To cancel pairing, press /HANDSET LOCATOR on the telephone base.
  5. Press OFF/CANCEL on the handset or place the handset in the telephone base after pairing.

NOTE: Make a call to your telephone system to test if you can answer calls with your Bluetooth headset. Retry pairing if unsuccessful.

Auto Connection:

  • When your Bluetooth headset is within range or turned on within range, the telephone base will automatically try to connect.

NOTES:

  • You can use your Bluetooth headset to answer or end calls.
  • While on a call with your Bluetooth headset, keep it within 15 feet of the telephone base without obstacles in between.

Pair and connect a Bluetooth headset

Your EL51103/EL51203/EL51253/EL51303/EL51353/EL51403/EL51453/EL51503 telephone system is enhanced with Bluetooth feature. You can pair a Bluetooth headset to your telephone system and answer calls with your Bluetooth headset.

NOTES:

  • Before you begin, make sure that you have cellular coverage and your Bluetooth enabled headset is not connected to any other Bluetooth device.
  • Bluetooth wireless technology operates within a short range (a maximum of approximately 15 feet) from the telephone base. Keep connected headset within this range.
  • If you have trouble pairing your Bluetooth headset to the telephone base, try turning off the Bluetooth feature of the nearby devices that your headset has previously paired.

Pair and connect a Bluetooth headset

  1. Set your Bluetooth headset to pairing mode. Refer to your Bluetooth headset user’s manual to learn how.
  2. Press PHONE/FLASH or /SPEAKER on the handset.
  3. Press and hold /HANDSET LOCATOR on the telephone base for 4 seconds.
    • The telephone then enters pairing mode. The pairing process takes up to 90 seconds.
    • To cancel pairing, press /HANDSET LOCATOR on the telephone base.
  4. Press OFF/CANCEL on handset or place the handset in the telephone base or charger after pairing.

NOTE:
Make a call to your telephone system and check if you can answer the call with your Bluetooth headset. If you fail to pair and connect your Bluetooth headset, re-try the pairing steps above.

Auto connection
When your Bluetooth headset moves within Bluetooth range of the telephone base, or is turned on within range, the telephone base automatically tries to connect to the headset.

NOTES:

  • You can use your Bluetooth headset to answer calls or end the calls.
  • While on a call using your Bluetooth headset, keep your headset closer to the telephone base (within 15 feet) and make sure that there are no physical obstacles such as large furniture or thick wall in between.
