IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • The base and remote are designed to be powered by AA batteries properly inserted into the units. Do not attempt to use with any other voltage or power supply. Do not use zinc-carbon batteries.

  • Do not mix new and used batteries. Do not mix brands (or types within brands) of batteries.

  • Do not mix rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries.

  • Install batteries according to polarity (+/-) diagrams. Do not install batteries backwards.
    Batteries can explode or leak.

  • Do not crush, drop, damage, or expose batteries to high temperature. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery, avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.

  • Do not incinerate or dismantle batteries.
    Properly dispose of used batteries immediately.

  • For indoor use only.

    Functional Description

ASSEMBLY

Attaching Legs

Screw the three supplied legs into the corresponding holes on the base of the laser mount.

Attaching Laser to Laser Mount
The alignment base can be used with MILWAUKEE®
M12™, MILWAUKEJ?ID REDLITHIUM™ USB, and alkaline lasers.

  • To attach, align the grooves on the laser pivot bracket with the base laser level holder brackets on the rotating top plate. Slide the laser back until it latches into in place.
  • To remove, carefully slide the pivot bracket on the forward out of the base of the mount.

Changing Batteries

Only use recommended batteries. If the base or remote is not be used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries as a protection against corrosion. Change batteries when the mount and/or remote light is red.

Laser Alignment Base

To change the batteries:

  1. Remove any laser from the laser alignment base.
  2. Unscrew and lift latch to open battery door.
  3. Insert three AA batteries according to the +/polarity marked in the compartment.
  4. Close the battery door and fasten securely.

Remote Control

To change the batteries:

  1. Unscrew and lift latch to open battery door.
  2. Insert two AA batteries according to the +/polarity marked in the compartment.
  3. Close the battery door and fasten securely.

OPERATION

Pairing Remote to Laser Mount

The remote control is not intended to be unpaired from the alignment base.

  • If the remote becomes unpaired, hold the power button on remote control for 3 seconds, then hold power button on base for 3 seconds to re-pair.

Turning the Laser Mount ON and OFF

The laser mount can be used with MILWAUKEE®
M12™, MILWAUKEE® REDLITHIUM™ USB, and alkaline lasers. Ensure the laser mount is powered on, and the LED is solid green.

  • To turn ON, press the power button, the LED will turn green.
  • To turn OFF, press the power button on the laser mount.

Using the Remote Control
The remote control can only be used with one laser mount at a given time. To avoid interference with other laser mounts on the same jobsite, space out the tools from one another. The laser mount and remote control have four modes; macro-sweep, micro-sweep, macro-step and micro-step.

  • To turn ON, press the power button on the remote control.
    To adjust the laser mount, use the arrow buttons on the remote control:

  • To macro step adjust, use the buttons with two triangles on it. This can be used in either left or right directions.

  • To micro step adjust, use the buttons with one triangle on it. This can be used in either left or right directions.

  • To sweep, long hold either the macro and micro buttons on the remote control in the desired direction.

  • To turn OFF, press the power button on the remote control.

Low Battery for Laser Mount and Remote Control

The laser mount and remote control both use alkaline batteries, please see below instructions for each LED status colors.

  • For normal operation, the LED will be green, unless the remote control is unpaired, then the LED will flash red for 2 seconds and then return to green.
  • For low battery status, the LED will be solid red.
  • If the batteries are depleted and the power button is pressed, the LED will pulse red for 1 second, then the laser mount or remote control will turn off.

MAINTENANCE

Cleaning

Clean dust and debris from vents. Keep handles clean, dry and free of oil or grease. Use only mild soap and a damp cloth to clean, since certain cleaning agents and solvents are harmful to plastics and other insulated parts. Some of these include petrol, turpentine, lacquer thinner, paint thinner, chlorinated cleaning solvents, ammonia and household detergents containing ammonia. Never use flammable or combustible solvents around tools.
