How to use the Device

  1. General Use:
    Before using the LED Facial Mask, ensure your skin is clean and dry. Put on the safety goggles provided to protect your eyes. Connect the power adapter and USB cable to the device. Adjust the mask to fit comfortably on your face.

Skin irritation, bruising, contact burns, dizziness, nausea, and headaches are rare but possible side effects.

Contraindications

  • DO NOT use the device if you have any cancer or cancerous lesion.
  • DO NOT use the device if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • DO NOT use the device on people under the age of 18.
  • DO NOT use the device over areas with phlebitis, thrombophlebitis, and varicose veins.
  • DO NOT use the device if you have a known allergic reaction to silicon. The device contains plastics and silicon that come into contact with the skin during use. When in doubt of allergies, first contact your General practitioner before using the device.
  • DO NOT use the device if you suffer from any photosensitive disorder(sensitization to light)
  • DO NOT use the device if you are taking any medication or drugs that can cause Photosensitivity. Suppose you are not sure about your medication, contact your health professional.
  • DO NOT use the device if you suffer from light-induced headaches.
  • DO NOT use the device if you have a medical history of seizures or epilepsy triggered by light.

Note:  For hygiene reasons, we do not recommend sharing your device with anyone else.

Warnings

  • STOP using the device and consult your General Practitioner if you experience an adverse reaction from using the device.
  • STOP using the device if you experience symptoms of hypotension(dizziness or light-headedness) while using the device.
  • STOP using the device if it is overheating. Turn off the device immediately.
  • STOP using the device if it feels hot or your skin feels uncomfortably warm.
  • DO NOT let children play with the device. Children shall not do cleaning or charge the device.
  • STOP using the device to treat rosacea, moles, warts, open sores, cancerous lesions, or any skin condition.
  • STOP using the device on spots without pigmentation or areas on the skin that have vitiligo.
  • DO NOT shine the light from the LEDs directly into your or someone else’s neck. This may cause temporary loss of sight.
  • DO NOT place the device if you have any open wounds.
  • DO NOT use the device outdoors to prevent damage to the product.
  • DO NOT sit, lay down or step on the device. This will break the device.
  • DO NOT drop or insert any object into any openings of the device.

The device’s lightweight design makes it a perfect travel companion. Here are some travel tips for you:

  • Confirm with the steward that the device can be carried and used on the airplane before flight.

Risks

Potential Risks
Immediately after treatment, the skin may appear red. The skin should return to normal within 1-2 hours.
Temporary headaches may appear after the light treatment. Consult your health professional if the headaches stay over a more significant period.

Light Sensitivity Test

We highly recommend users perform a light sensitivity test before their first device use.

  1. Place the device on the inner forearm.
  2. Turn on the device to start a treatment.
  3. Wait till the treatment is done. The treatment will take 5 minutes to complete.
  4. If your skin feels hot or uncomfortable during the treatment, directly stop! You might be sensitive to light.
  5. The device will automatically turn off after the treatment is done. Remove the device and wait for at least 24 hours.
    Check your skin regularly over those 24 hours. If your skin appears red or itchy, the device is unsuitable. Regarding light sensitivity, please get in touch with customer support.

How to use the Device

6.1 General Use

  1. Before starting the treatment, thoroughly cleanse your skin, and remove all make up and any cosmetics that contain chemicals, acidic, or reflective components which may affect light output and provide a decreased or ineffective treatment. Cosmetics that do not include this area recommended to be used during or after treatment for the best possible results.
  2. Use the Aduro facial straps and feed them through the inlet holes at the mask’s sides, ensuring the velcro can be stuck to the back of the straps.
  3. Aduro-MK66RGB-Facial-Mask-fig- \(4\) You are now ready for an Aduro treatment. Put on the facial mask with the light diodes shining onto the skin. Adjust the straps to secure the Aduro facial mask to the facial area and set it to the desired position.
  4. Selectable modes are chosen via the controller. Push the mode button to cycle through the methods for the desired treatment(Aduro 7+1).Aduro-MK66RGB-Facial-Mask-fig- \(5\)
  5. Turn on the mask and start your whole facial rejuvenation experience. Keep the mask on for up to 20 minutes and remove it. The Aduro facial mask is designed for a maximum of 20 minutes daily.

  • What to expect during an Aduro treatment:
    Users may feel a warm sensation on the skin, with increased hydration and plumping from the first treatment.

  • After 1 week of treatments:
    Most users expect to notice an improvement in skin texture, with skin appearing more healthy and smooth.

  • After 2 weeks of treatments:
    Most users expect a better skin condition when compared to before treatments start.

  • After 4 weeks of treatments:
    Many users will notice a more significant skin improvement than before treatments, with reduced fine lines and wrinkles, acne recovery, and better, healthier-looking skin.

Charging

  • When charging the device, please plug the USB-C end of the data cable into the control box and the USB-A – end into the USB power supply.
  • When the device is charged, the LED indicator on the control box will be red, and the indicator will always be green when the device is fully charged.
  • Before charging, make sure that the plug and socket are completely dry. Failure to do so may result in electric shock, short circuits, or fire.
  • Note:  Always unplug the device before use. The device will not work while being charged.

Care and Storage

  • The lifetime of the Lithium battery can be maximized by allowing it to charge and then fully discharged during regular use.
  • Store the device at room temperature in dry conditions.
  • Store the device in the supplied packaging. Ensure the device will not bend, stretch or crush while stored or traveling.
  • Avoid storing the device in dusty, direct sunlight, or damp and humid conditions. This device contains no serviceable parts.
  • Before each use, with the device switched off, clean the device following the cleaning instructions.

Cleaning

  • Clean the device with a water-based wipe or damp clean cloth. Stubborn stains can be removed by wiping gently with 70% alcohol.
  • DO NOT use any other cleansing device, as these may damage the device.
  • DO NOT clean the device while it is turned on.
  • DO NOT clean the device while charging.

Troubleshooting
If the actions suggested fail to fix the problem reoccurs, and your device is within the warranty period, please return it to Aduro.

DO NOT attempt to modify the device in any way. The device has NO parts you can repair yourself.

Aduro guarantees that this product will be free from material and quality defects within one year from the date of purchase. This product is not warranted as follows:

  • This product’s warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse.
  • This product’s warranty does not cover damage caused by accident.
  • This product’s warranty does not cover damage caused by the attachment of any unauthorized or third-party control accessory.
  • This product’s warranty does not cover damage caused by alternation to the product.
  • This product’s warranty does not cover damage caused by any other conditions beyond the control of Aduro.
  • This warranty does not include broken light-emitting diodes unless the number of light-emitting diodes exceeds 4, as product efficiency may not be decreased.
  • Aduro will not be responsible for any incidental, consequential, or special damages, Repairs, or modifications by anyone other than Aduro and will void this warranty.
  • To obtain warranty service for this product, please return the product post-paid to Aduro with a sales receipt as proof of purchase. Once the item has been received, Aduro will repair or replace it, as appropriate, then return your product to you post-paid. Warranty is only valid through Aduro approved service center.
  • This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
