Thank you for buying FAN 0105 BL.
Please read this manual carefully before activating the appliance and keep it for future reference.
It’ll be helpful if you encounter any functioning problem.

The Manufacturer declares under his own responsibility that the appliance subject of  this Instructions manual complies with whatprescribed in the EC Directive about appliances for household use.
To improve the product and/or for construction needs, the manufacturer reserves the right to make technological, aesthetic and dimensional changes without prior notice.

This appliance is in compliance with all the standards related to electromagnetic fields (EMF). If used properly, following what indicated in this instructions manual, the appliance allows a safe use, as confirmed by the scientific results currently available.

Warnings related to safety essential before use

Carefully read the instructions in this booklet, as they provide important information about safe installation, use and maintenance. Keep this booklet with care for future reference.

  • Before using the appliance, make sure that it is in perfect working order from a mechanical standpoint. The motor unit, the grilles, the other components and the accessories should report no scratches or parting.
    The sheath and the plug of the power cord should report no scratches or parting. If so, immediately unplug the appliance from the mains outlet and take it to an authorised Customer Service Centre for necessary checking.

  • All packing elements (plastic bags, styrofoam, nails , etc.) must not be left in the range of children or of people with reduced physical, sensory or mental faculties as they are potential sources of danger.

GENERAL WARNINGS
This appliance can be used by children of 8 years of age or more and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental faculties as well as people without the necessary experience or knowledge of it ONLY if monitored by someone responsible for their safety or if they’ve been educated about the safe use of the appliance and if they are aware of the risks originating from an improper use. Children must not use the appliance as a toy and must not either clean or use the appliance alone unless they’re of 8 years of age or more and they’re assisted by an adult. **** Keep children less than 8 years old away from the appliance and form the power cord.

  • Before starting it make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the one indicated on the rating label. The label is placed on the bottom of the motor body.

  • Before inserting the plug in the power socket, make sure that the power switch is in position “0” (OFF).

  • For your safety, we recommend to power the appliance by means of a differential circuit-breaker (RCD) with an operating current of no more than 30 mA.

  • Should the wall outlets and the unit plug be incompatible with each other, have the wall outlet replaced by an appropriate one by a qualified electrician. He, in particular, shall also make sure cross section of the wires corresponds to the absorbed power of the appliance. Generally, adapters, multiple sockets and / or extension cables should not be used. However, if necessary, only use single or multiple adapters and extension cables, which comply with existing safety standards, making sure however that the current carrying capacity limits, marked on the single adapter and on the extension cables, as well as the maximum power limit marked on the multiple adapter, are not exceeded.

  • Make sure that the electrical system is equipped with a circuit breaker (life- saving kind).

  • The use of any electric appliance involves compliance with certain basic rules.
    In particular:
    – never touch the appliance with wet or damp hands;
    – never use the appliance with bare feet;
    – never pull the power cord or the appliance to remove the plug from the wall socket;
    – never leave the appliance outdoors where it can be exposed to the weather conditions (rain, such, etc.);
    – never let children or disabled persons use the appliance unattended.

  • Turn off the appliance and do not tamper with it in any way if it becomes faulty and/or operates in an incorrect way. Repairs must only be carried out by a customer service centre authorized by the manufacturer. Always insist on genuine spare parts. Failure to comply with this recommendation could impair the safety of the appliance.

  • Should you decide to stop using an appliance of this type, remember to render it unusable by cutting off the power cable after having removed the plug from the power socket.
    Also make sure that all parts of the appliance liable to constitute a danger are made harmless, particularly for children who could decide to use an old appliance as a toy.

  • Do not leave the appliance unattended while it’s functioning.

  • Before inserting the plug in the power supply network, make sure the ON/ OFF key of the appliance is set to OFF. This acts as a protection should the appliance suddenly and unexpectedly start up.

  • Do not use the appliance next to a bath, to a shower or to a swimming pool in order to avoid electric shocks.

  • Do not use the appliance in places it may accidentally be damaged.

  • Do not let people having a shower, having a bath, or who are in another kind of recipient full of water touch the appliance.

  • Do not put your fingers or other foreign matter between the grids of the protection grating. You would run the risk of electric shock and of being consequently injured.

  • Do not obstruct the openings and slots for ventilation and heat discharge.

  • Do not place the fan above or near another heat source.
    WARNING: AVOID COVERING THE FAN TO PREVENT IT FROM OVERHEATING.

  • The fan may cause the risk of fire if, while in operation, is covered by or comes  into contact with inflammable material including curtains, drapery, blankets,  etc. KEEP THE FAN AWAY FROM THESE MATERIALS.

  • Do not place the fan on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked. Always place the fan on a stable, flat, level surface when operating, to avoid the chance of the fan overturning. Locate the power cord so the fan or other objects are not resting on it.

**** The electric shocks danger is still present, even if the appliance is off. Always disconnect it from the socket when not using it.

  • Never submerge the motor body in water or other liquids.
  • Completely unroll the power cord before starting the appliance and avoid crushing it.
  • Never let the power cord flow on sharp edges.
  • Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces (space heaters, radiators, etc.).
  • Do not leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric agents like rain, sun, frost, etc. This appliance must be stored exclusively in closed environments.
  • Do not use the appliance in too dusty environments.

**** Do not install the appliance in areas where the air may contain gas or near heat sources.

  • At the end of use always disconnect the plug from the power socket.

  • Use the appliance ONLY as it’s described in this manual.

  • This product is intended for domestic use only.
    It has not been designed to be used in environments like (which are not covered by warranty):
    – personnel service-areas in shops; offices and in other work environments;
    – farmhouses;
    – for hotels, motels and other residential environments customers;
    – bed and breakfast like environments.

  • Store the appliance indoor in a zone without moisture.

  • Possible repairs must be performed only by specialists which have been supplied with original spare parts by the manufacturer.

To repair the appliance by yourself can be extremely dangerous.
This device must be used only for the purpose it was made, that is to say as a ventilator. Every other use has to be considered improper and for this reason dangerous and it could cause electrical shocks, wounds or fire. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for eventual damages resulting from improper, wrong and unreasonable uses.
In case of problems on the appliance, please contact the authorized assistance centres. Avoid trying to repair the appliance by yourself. Any repair intervention on the appliance carried out by unauthorized personnel automatically invalidates warranty even if its duration has not come to an end.

PREPARING THE APPLIANCE

At the first appliance use, remove it from the packaging and make sure that all of the components indicated in the previous pages of this manual are present. If not, please refer to the dealer.
> > Inserting the batteries in the remote control 
The appliance is equipped with a remote control.
To insert or replace the batteries:

  1. Remove the battery slot cover from the remote control rear part.
  2. Insert the batteries. RESPECT THE POLARITIES!
  3. Reposition the battery slot cover.

If the remote control is not operated for prolonged periods of time, the batteries will discharge and the remote control won’t work; in this case, replace the batteries with the new ones.
The remote control batteries must not be exposed to excessive heat such like sun rays, flames or similar.

Do not submit the remote control to strong vibrations or shocks. Store the remote control away from moisture and water.
If the remote control doesn’t work after replacing the batteries, remove and reinsert the batteries after waiting about 5 minutes.


  • It could result difficult to work with the remote control if the sensor on the appliance is exposed to direct sunlight or to a strong artificial light.
  • Try to make it work away from such bright sources.
  • Avoid dropping the remote control, exposing it to impacts or stepping on it.
  • Do not pour water on the remote control.
  • Do not use the remote control with other appliances simultaneously.
  • If the appliance doesn’t work even when using the remote control from a close distance, it is necessary to replace the batteries.

The remote control batteries must be kept away from the range of children. If they’re handled in the wrong way they could cause fires or chemical burns.
Do not expose the batteries to temperatures higher than 100° C.
**** Do not charge or disassemble the batteries.
Exhausted batteries must be disposed in  the appropriate containers prepared for the collection. Do not throw batteries in household waste and do not disperse them in the environment. Do  not dispose batteries in an incinerator, as theycould explode.

USE

ON/OFF key
Introduce the plug into the current outlet; the POWER SPEED TIMER NATURE SLEEP LED switches on and the appliance is in standby
Press the ON/OFF key to switch the appliance on; the buzzer emits an acoustic signal and the appliance starts to work.
To switch the appliance off, hold the ON/OFF key down for approx. 2 seconds; the buzzer emits two sounds and the appliance switches off.
MODE key
When the appliance is operating, press the MODE key repeatedly to select from the following functions (ventilation speed > timer > natural > sleep): The relative LED lights up.
ROTATING key
When the appliance is operating, press the ROTATING key (oscillation); the buzzer will emit an acoustic signal and the appliance starts the “rotating” function.
To interrupt the function, press the ROTATING key (oscillation) again; the buzzer will emit an acoustic signal and the appliance interrupts the “rotating” function.
SPEED+ / SPEED- key
Press the SPEED+ or SPEED- key to increase or decrease the intensity of ventilation and/or the timer.
The “ventilation speed” or the actual “timer” are shown on the display.
** The SPEED+ and SPEED- keys only operate if the “SPEED” and/or “TIMER” LEDS are on.

  •  When the appliance is in stand by, press the key to start it.
    To interrupt operation, press the key again; the appliance is in stand by.

  • Press the key to activate the “natural” function; “FF” is shown on the display.
    To exit the mode selected, press the key again or the key.

  • Press the key to activate the “sleep” function; “LL” is shown on the display.
    To exit the mode selected, press the key again or the key.

  • Press the key to increase the intensity of ventilation.
    To reduce the intensity of ventilation, press the key on the remote control.

**** Up to 6 levels of ventilation intensity can be adjusted.

  • Press the key to activate the “rotation” function.
    Press the key again to deactivate the function.

  • Press the key to set the timer and increase duration.
    To decrease the duration of the timer, press the key.

**** The timer function can be programmed from 1 to 8 hours.
When the timer function has been set, the other functions can be used normally.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Always remove the plug from the mains socket before proceeding with any cleaning operation.
  • Use a damp cloth to clean the plastic parts.
  • Use a brush to clean the grills.
  • Make sure that the appliance is completely dry before plugging the appliance into the electricity main again.

STORAGE

  • If the appliance is not used for prolonged periods, disconnect the power cord and store the appliance with this manual in a cool and dry place.

ENVIRONMENTAL DISCLOSURE / DISPOSAL AT END-OF-LIFE
“In compliance with the directive 2011/65/EU related to waste disposal (RoHS) and with the Directive 2012/19/EU (RAEE) on electronical and electric equipment waste” the crossed out wheelie bin symbol on the equipment nameplate or on its batteries, indicates that the product and the batteries at the end of their useful life must be collected separately from other waste. The user should therefore, take the product to an appropriate recycling centre for electrical and electronic waste, or hand it to the dealer when buying a new equipment. Dead batteries must be removed from the product, separately collected and delivered free of charge to an appropriate batteries collection centre provided by Municipalities and by shopping centres.
For more information please contact the Local Council or the Municipality. Proper separate collection for the deliver of the equipment to recycling, to treatment and environmentally compatible disposal helps avoid possible negative effects on the environment and health and promotes the reuse and/or recycling of materials that make up the equipment. Illegal dumping of the product by the user involves the application of administrative sanctions provided by current laws and regulations.
Packaging waste must be differentiated and taken to appropriate collection centres according to the current laws on the territory on waste separate collection.
