Care instructions
Useful advice from Teka provides a daily cleaning routine to keep your PureClean sink in best condition for longer.
Follow these easy steps to prolong the life of your new sink:
- Clean your PureClean sink after every use, rinsing it thoroughly and drying it off with a soft cloth to prevent stains and deterioration in the metal.
- Use a soft cloth or sponge to apply the appropriate kitchen sink cleaner when needed, rubbing the surface gently and always in the direction of the grain.
- A deep clean is recommended weekly or even monthly. If you choose to use stainless steel cleaners or polish cream for stainless steel, read and follow the cleaning product manufacturer’s instructions for the best result. Always test the cleaning solution on a small area of the sink before applying it to the surface and use high quality brands to take care of your new sink.
Your PureClean sink is of the highest quality and durability, but some products and habits can damage the surface. Try to follow these basic rules:
-
Do not use harsh chemicals or caustic cleaners (acid, bleach, chlorine). If you accidentally use them on the sink, rinse immediately.
-
Do not apply drain cleaners containing sodium hydroxide. If you use them, be sure you rinse the sink thoroughly to remove any residue.
-
Do not leave staining food and corrosive liquids such as vinegar or fruit juices on the basin. Try to rinse leftovers of food as soon as possible.
-
Do not use scourer pads, silver cleaners, steel wool, or any abrasive product to clean the sink.
You must use non-abrasive cleansers to avoid scratching and dulling the appearance of the sink. -
Some carbon steel kitchen tools can deposit iron particles on the surfaces. Try not to leave these tools or sharp objects in the sink.
PureClean treatment is a complementary aesthetic feature which durability depends on how it is cared. Therefore, this temporary treatment is not covered by the commercial Lifetime Warranty Teka provides to stainless steel products.
