Installation

  1. This is a guide how Enegic monitor is installed with current sensors in a commonly used electrical cabinet. These steps should be performed by a qualified electrician.
  2. Open the electrical cabinet & locate the phase conductors. Usually, L1 is brown, L2 black and L3 gray.ZAPTEC-energic-Electric-Vehicle-Charging-Boxes-fig-1
  3. Connect the current sensors so that the consumption of the entire property is measured. Tighten the current sensors around the phase conductors.

  5. Open the measuring unit.
  6. Plug the current sensors into the terminal block. L1 to 1, L2 to 2 and L3 to 3.ZAPTEC-energic-Electric-Vehicle-Charging-Boxes-fig-3
  7. Connect cables with red pins to+, and cables with black pins to -.
  8. Power the device with the included DIN or USB cable. Connect cables with red pins to+, and cables with black pins to-.ZAPTEC-energic-Electric-Vehicle-Charging-Boxes-fig-4
  9. Fasten the cables with cable ties and put back the cover.
  10. Power the device with the included DIN or USB adapter. Place the measuring unit accessible, but in a weather-protected space e.g. indoors or in a facade cabinet. Attach the device with the included Velcro strap.ZAPTEC-energic-Electric-Vehicle-Charging-Boxes-fig-5

Configuration

  1. Check that the device is in configuration mode:
  2. Open the enegic app and log in with your installer account. Then enter the customer’s account name in the “Impersonate” field and log in again. If not, press the bottom button for -10 seconds until it starts flashing blue.ZAPTEC-energic-Electric-Vehicle-Charging-Boxes-fig-6
  3. Go to Settings, New device and Configure new physical device.
  4. Configure the device according to the instructions in the app. Once the device is configured, it will appear in “Overview”.ZAPTEC-energic-Electric-Vehicle-Charging-Boxes-fig-7

Integrate the device with Zaptec

To do in the Zaptec portal

  • The Zaptec charging box must be commissioned and linked to an installation on a user account. Check in the user account, under Installation-> Settings-> Power management:
    • that SMART ECO MODE is disabled.
    • that Manual Power Control is selected as power control.
  • In the user account, under Installation-> Permissions, press “Give permissions”: – Add the account zapteccontrol@enegic.com with Owner and Service rights.
  1. In the enegic app, go to Settings, Licenses to scan the QR-code on the included Zaptec license.
  2. Go to Settings, Reporters and Add new Reporter.ZAPTEC-energic-Electric-Vehicle-Charging-Boxes-fig-8
  3. Select Zaptec Control as the type of reporter and enter an appropriate name such as “Zaptec power control”.
  4. In the Zaptec Portal: – Go to Installation->Settings->Details, press “Copy installation ID”. Paste the ID in the “Zaptec installation ID” field.ZAPTEC-energic-Electric-Vehicle-Charging-Boxes-fig-9
  5. Enter main fuse size, charger fuse size and a safe charge level if the device goes offline.
  6. Ensure the correct Enegic monitor is selected. Then press Save.ZAPTEC-energic-Electric-Vehicle-Charging-Boxes-fig-10
