Mounting/demounting
- Remove the cover from the Danfoss AB-QM VA41 valve.
- Ensure the correct orientation of the valve insert by matching the shape of the insert with the actuator housing. Do not force.
- Place the actuator onto the valve insert.
- Press down until a click is heard, indicating the parts are securely fastened.
Electrical Connection & Dimensions
- Temperature range for operation: min. 0°C (32°F) to max. 60°C (140°F)
- Control signal: 0-10 V (DC)
- Power supply: 24 V (AC or DC depending on the type)
- Dimensions: Max 61.8 mm (2.43 inch) width, Max 60 mm (2.35 inch) height
Unlock the NC version (First Open Function)
- Rotate the actuator approximately 3mm to unlock.
- Apply power for more than 6 minutes to initiate the first open function.
- Rotate the actuator back approximately 0.5mm after the function is triggered.
NO/NC version
The maximum operating temperature for both NO (Normally Open) and NC (Normally Closed) versions is 60°C.
Auto Calibration
The actuator has an auto-calibration feature for NO and NC versions, detecting the open/close point during the calibration process, approximately 6 minutes for unlocking NC, and around 30 minutes for regular operation.

You should hear a ‘click’ sound indicating that the actuator is properly attached.
