Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: Does this fit on the Zoom H4n?
A: Yes, but you’ll need to stretch it a little bit to get over the body and not just the mics

  • Q: Can this fit on a microphone Behringer XM8500?
A: Yes. The On-Stage foam windscreen is designed to fit perfectly on microphones of this type.

  • Q: which is the inside diameter?
A: the bottom opening hole is 1 1/2 inches

  • Q: can i use it on audio Technica atr2500
A: Should fit, they are snug to put on but stretch somewhat…would advise using grey cause the dye in the blue ones I purchased ended up on my fingers…they were damp but not wet…using on sm58.

  • Q: Does it work on the rodent USB
A: It will probably fit well enough to serve its purpose. But, this will only cut down on wind interference. A pop filter may be another option for you.

  • Q: Fits zoom h1?
    A: yes

  • Q: Does this fit on an SM57?
A: they work fine for the SM58. I don’t know if it would work for you.

  • Q: Will this cut down on the popping sound of p, t, & k?
A: yes, it’s cutting down on the popping sound. remember, this is not an expensive foam. if you want the best foam. you can buy an expensive one.

  • Q: does it fit the XML 990?
A: Maybe it would fit, I would bet that it would work, I don’t have an MXL to try but the foam is big to fit a ball mic, falls right off my straight- shaped mics cause it’s big and too loose.

  • Q: will this cover fit on a Rode News Shooter Mic?
A: My CAD-U1 is 1.9″x2.2″ and it fits perfectly, so you just need to measure your mic.

  • Q: Does it fit the blue snowball ice microphone
A: The Blue Snowballs will NOT fit this. The snowball is a literal ball, so this won’t cover it.

  • Q: Does this work with Pyle-pro pdwm2100 mics?
A: I really don’t know. We use them on Shure PG-58s, and they work well and fit well. Guess you’ll have to check them out yourself.

  • Q: Does this mic fit the saramonic wm4ca wireless microphone?
    A: yes

  • Q: does this foam ball work its way around the toner ball condenser mic?
A: These fit most handheld microphones.

  • Q: Will this fit on the mipro mic?
A: This filter will fit on a ball microphone such as the Shure SM 58

  • Q: Will this fit a Sennheiser wireless mic?
    A: yes

  • Q: Can this fit a peavy mic PVI 2?
A: I use the foam ball cover on a Shure PGA58, which seems to be the same size as most ball-shaped mics. If the PVI2 is similar to a Shure PGA 58, it should fit.

  • Q: Is it okay to store a mic with this on? Will there be any particles lost/deposited in the mic at all?
A: Yes, over time the cover will disintegrate a bit like foam does, losing its elasticity. It takes a while though. This did happen with mine but it did not damage the mic. And it took years. If it will be stored for years, for example, it would be better to take it off.

  • Q: will this work on the rode wireless go 2?
A: It is very useful in isolating the sound of the air

  • Q: Would it work for cad u37 mic??
    A: Yes.

  • Q: is it work with atr 25000
    A: yeah, perfectly

  • Q: Does this work for a Sure Beta 58?
A: Yes. The ball size is the same on both the SM58 and the beta 58.

  • Q: Will this work with an Audio-Technica AT2035?
A: It should. It fits on my Blue Yeti Mic, and that Mic is bigger than the AT2035 (from what I can see from the pictures.)

  • Q: Does this foam ball fit on a Pyle Pro pdmic78 moving coil microphone?
A: It should fit just fine on there, Geno. If anything, the slim design of the Pyle Pro may offer a little more wiggle room than the snug fit of a standard ball-type mic top.

  • Q: does this fit the rode reporter microphone?
    A: yes
