FLOWMASTER 818120 Performance Exhaust System
Product Information
The product is a Flowmaster performance exhaust system designed for the 2021-22 Ford Bronco with a 2.3L or 2.7L engine. It includes an Outlaw Muffler (part #8430152-593) and a hardware package (PK1083) consisting of various components such as frame hangers, rubber hangers, bolts, nuts, washers, and hanger keepers.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before installing the Flowmaster performance system, read and understand the instructions provided.
- Inventory all parts to ensure nothing is missing. If any parts are missing, report it to the tech line.
- Remove the stock exhaust system
- Raise the vehicle up on a hoist or rack to working height. If a hoist or rack is not available, support the vehicle with jack stands.
- Allow the vehicle’s engine to cool completely before touching any factory engine components to avoid burns.
- Support the exhaust with stands.
- Loosen the clamp and separate both rubber isolators from the frame.
- Dismount the muffler while leaving the isolators on it, and remove it from the vehicle.
- Install the Flowmaster exhaust system
- Apply an anti-seize compound to threaded fasteners for a more secure installation.
- Place the right rear frame hanger (part #529HA) onto the driver side isolator mount studs. Fasten it in place with 2 lock nuts (part #3401401).
- Place the left rear frame hanger (part #530HA) onto the passenger side frame. Fasten it in place with 2 bolts (part #HW208), 2 lock washers (part #HW309), 2 flat washers (part #HW303), and 2 nuts (part #HW103).
- Place the rubber hanger (part #HA168) onto the rear frame hangers.
- Connect the muffler (part #8430152-593) to the mid pipe and insert the wire hanger into the rubber hanger. Adjust the muffler to fit properly and tighten the clamp.
- Fit 4 hanger keepers (part #HW502) onto each hanger.
- Recommended: Secure slip-fit connections with a 1-inch tack weld and spray high-temp paint over each weld to prevent rust and premature corrosion.
- Congratulations! The installation of your Flowmaster performance exhaust system is now complete.

REMOVE STOCK EXHAUST SYSTEM
- Raise vehicle up on a hoist or rack to working height. If you don’t have access to a hoist or rack, support vehicle with jack stands.
WARNING
Avoid serious burns! Allow your vehicle me to cool completely before touching
any factory engine components.
To ease preparation and install on of your new kit
- Apply penetrating’s lubricant to mounts, bolts and clamps before you remove them.
- Use stands as necessary to support parts as you detach them from your vehicle and again as you install new parts.
- Support exhaust with stands. Loosen clamp, separate both rubber isolators from frame then dismount muffl er (leaving isolators on it) and remove it from vehicle.
- Apply annt -seize compound to threaded fasteners for a more secure install.
- NOTE: The image in this step is intended for illustrative purposes only and may or may not accurately reflect components included in your kit.
- Place right rear frame hanger (2) onto driver side isolator mount studs. Fasten it in place with (x2) lock nuts (10). Place le? rear frame hanger (3) onto passenger side frame, fastening it in place with (x2 ea.) bolts (5), lock washers (8), fl at washers (7) and nuts (6). Place rubber hanger (4) onto rear frame hangers.
- Connect muffler (1) to mid pipe, inserting wire hanger into rubber hanger. Adjust muffler to fi t properly as shown then tighten clamp.
- Fit (x4) hanger keepers (9) onto each hanger.
- Recommended: Secure slip-fi t connections with a 1-inch tack weld then spray high-temp paint over each weld to prevent rust and premature corrosion.
