Product Usage Instructions

Initial Setup – Finding Devices

Upon starting the VersiControl App for the first time, follow these steps to find and connect to your control devices:

  1. Tap “Find Devices” to initialize the search.
  2. The app will begin scanning for on-board devices and display the available devices once located.
  3. Select “Tap to claim!” to connect the app to the device.
  4. During the initial setup, you’ll be asked to set a passcode to claim the device.
  5. Tap “Set Passcode” to set up a passcode. Note: Be sure to store the passcode in a secure place for future reference.
  6. Once you’ve successfully set a passcode, you’ll receive a “Success!” notification.
  7. Tap “Go to Dashboard” to leave the initial set-up screen and move to the app dashboard.

Zone Dashboard Overview

The Zone Dashboard provides an overview of the main features and controls:

  • Main Power: Turns the system on/off. When powered back on, the system returns to the previous state.

  • All Zones Status Indicator: Indicates the current status of all zones, including the number of zones selected, in effects mode, in timer mode, and in locked mode.

  • Zone Control Bars: Controls each individual zone, including color, power, zone lock, timer, effects, and music beats mode.

  • Color Selection Mode: Controls the color selection for each zone, including camera mode and custom color.

  • Quick White: Press once to turn all unlocked and active zones immediately white. Press again to return all zones back to their previous state.

  • Settings: Accesses system settings, including Help, Manage and
    Find Devices, About the app, and external web resources.

  • Timer Mode: Allows lights to be powered on and off via a set timer.

  • Music-Beats Mode: Allows light brightness to react to the beat of the music.

  • Special Effects Mode: Controls the selection of preset special color effects and allows for custom effects setup.

Controlling Zones

Here’s how to control the zones:

  • Selecting Zone: Tapping the “+” next to the zone name will select or deselect the zone to enable a color or mode change on selected zones. The “+” will illuminate when the zone is selected and darken when the zone is deselected.
  • Locking Zones: Tap the lock symbol to move to the Edit Locks screen. On the Edit Locks screen, tap the lock symbol to change from unlocked to locked on all desired zones. All locked zones will be excluded from any color or mode changes until they are placed back in unlocked mode.
  • Turn On/Off Individual Zone Power: Tap the specific zone’s power slider to turn on or off power to the individual zones.
  • Assign and Change Zone Name: Press and hold the zone name to customize or update the zone name.

Changing Color

  1. With all desired zones selected, tap the “+” symbol to move to the color palette screen to change the light color for all the actively selected zones.

White Brightness Adjustment

Slide to adjust and dim the brightness level of the white light output.

RGB Brightness Adjustment

Slide to adjust and dim the brightness level of the light output.

Save Favorite Colors

ZONE BUTTON CONTROLS

The zone buttons labeled 1 – 4 control the states of an individual zone. The LED behind each zone button indicates which state the zone is currently operating in: Off State, On State, and Adjust State.

  • OFF STATE
    Indicator LED behind the zone number is off and zone is off. All lights connected to that zone are powered off.

  • ON STATE
    Indicator LED behind the zone number is on and solid. The zone is powered on and the lights are turned on in the selected zone.

  • ADJUST STATE
    Indicator LED behind the zone number is blinking and the zone is in adjust mode. Selecting one of the 3 mode buttons (Color, Effects, Brightness) will place the zone into that mode (There is a 30 second timeout if no adjustments are made).

CHANGING COLOR

Changing Color in Selected Zones

  1. Press the zones in which you plan to change the LED color. The LED behind each zone will blink indicating that zone is in adjust mode.
  2. Press the Color Mode button to put the keypad in color adjust mode.
  3. Press the ← → buttons to cycle through the available RGB color options. There are 21 possible color selections using the controller pad.
  4. The center color indicator will change to display the selected color.
  5. Once a desired LED color has been determined, press each of the zone buttons that are currently in adjust mode again to end adjust mode.ICT-VersiColor-RGB-W-Lighting-FIG-12

EFFECTS MODE CONTROLS

Note: The center color indicator will not change color.

Controlling Zone Effects

  1. Press the zones in which you plan to enable the LED color change fade effect. The LED behind each zone will blink indicating that zone is in adjust mode.
  2. Press the Effects Mode button to put the keypad in effects adjustment mode.
  3. Press the ← → buttons to decrease or increase the speed of the 7-color fade effect.
  4. The 7-color fade includes: yellow, white, cyan, blue, red, purple, and green.
  5. Once a desired LED fade speed has been determined, press each of the zone buttons that are currently in adjust mode again to end adjust mode.ICT-VersiColor-RGB-W-Lighting-FIG-13

BRIGHTNESS CONTROLS

Note: To adjust the brightness of the pad itself, press the brightness adjust mode button (without any zones selected) and use the arrows to adjust the pad’s brightness as desired.

  1. Press the zones in which you plan to adjust the LED light brightness. The LED behind each zone will blink indicating that zone is in adjust mode.
  2. Press the Brightness Mode button to put the keypad in brightness adjust mode.
  3. Press the ← → buttons to decrease or increase the brightness of the light output.
