Welcome to DLS!
Thank you for buying the DLS Alive REM30. For us, its all about the sound
experience. We care deeply about sound and construction qualiy. In order for
your experience to be as optimal as possibl, it s important that you read this
manual, preferably before you start your installation. Koep the manual in a
safe and accessible place for future reference.
Your remote control must be installed correctly in order fo work as intended.
Make sure you have all necessary tools nearby before starting and that you are
completely confident in how to proceed. If you have the sightest uncertainty;
feel free 10 take the help of an experienced installer or a car audio dealer.

This remote control s covered by waranty, depending on the conditions in the country whre tis s0ld. If he spoaker s returned for service, please include the original dated receipt with the product.

Safety
General safety instructions
This device is equipped with sensiive technology and should aiways be handled with care. Observe the following information in order to extend the service life of the device.
- The REM30 should only be used with DLS Alive AMR30D Media receiver.
- Please only use the original accessories supplied. Ensure that the device is ‘adequately fastened using the installation accessories supplied.
- In the event of a defect or malfunction, do ot attempt 1o repair or open the device yourself. Repairs should only be carried out by trained and authorized personnel.
- Keep the device and its components away from excessive heat and excessive cold.
- Do not use strong chemical cleaners, solvents, or water to clean the device. Use a slightly damp cotton cloth with a soft surface.

Pre installation
Disconnect Battery
Before you start the process of installing the media receiver, disconnect and
secure the negafive terminal from your battery/power source. This will prevent
the risk of damaging yourself or the products.
Place the disconnected terminal in a secure and isolated location away from
any possible connection belonging to the battery/power source system.
Installation
Mounting
Follow the instructions below carefully to mount and install your new DLS
remote control. Double check so that the intended mounting location does not
have any important components underneath that risk being damaged.
Step 1: Mounting location
Find a suitable mounting location for the REM30. Make sure that there is
enough space for installation. In order to avoid malfunctions, never mount the
device near the motor.
Step 2: Mounting opening
Cut a circular hole at the mounting location with a diameter of 51mm.
Step 3: Functional testing
Before you complete the installation, you should carry out a function test.
Connect the remote control to the AMR30D media receiver, start the media
receiver, and lest out some of the remote’s functions to make sure that
everything works as intended. Disconnect the remote when the test s finished.
Step 4:
Fastening
The REM30 must now be fastened in the mounting location with the enclosed
fixing screws and the mounting bracket that is included with the product. See
the following page for drawings and more detailed instructions. Reconnect the
remote controll to the media receiver when the remote is mounted properly.
Mounting
The mounting bracket needs 1o be installed from the inside, against the baffle
in order to fix the device. When mounting, make sure that the device lies flat
on the mounting surface. Use the two included enclosed nuts to securethe unit
into place. Make sure that the wiring harness and the connection cables are
not crushed/damaged during assembly.
If the mounting bracket is too long, you can shorten the beacket’s length
accordingly on both sides at the breakiines (see illustration).
Operation
Controls
The REM30 remote control gives you the option o control the DLS AMR30D media
receiver from another location. Below is a guide regarding what different
functions the butions and controls on the remote have.

Use to move backwards in list selections and/or playlist. -

Use to move forward in list selections and/or playist. -
: MODE, Play/Pause button
Use to switch mode (short press) and to play/pause music (long press). -
: ZONE1, ZONE2, ZONES buttons
Use to change the volume of a specific zone, press to control zone sublevel -
:Volume knob
Use to change the volume for all zones or each zone separately.
